Chapter 25
Lunch had been a fairly quick affair, especially for Kate and Nastya who were eager to get back to their trailer, a fact that didn't go unnoticed by the other members of the Voyager family. Dee and Beverly exchanged a knowing glance.
At last, the couple got up, excusing themselves. Kate squeaked out softly, the petite girl suddenly finding herself lifted up by a familiar set of strong arms. The redhead was once more stunned by her beloved's strength.
'I wonder if she would also be this strong had this maniac of a doctor not tempered with her body when she was a child. Doubtful, but one may never know. Either way, I do love being carried by her like this.'
Nastya quirked her left brow in that typical fashion of hers, her voice low. “Penny for your thoughts, my love.”
Kate blinked in confusion for a split second, her cheeks turning pink at being again caught daydreaming. “I was spacing out again, my love. Also, I was thinking how I love being carried by you and I was wondering if your strength comes solely from your time at the doctor's facility, or if you were naturally strong.”
Nastya nodded slowly, her tone pensive. “So I see. I am gratified to hear you enjoy being carried by me, Kate. As for your other question. I must admit that I am uncertain. Back then when I still lived with... my family”
Kate cringed at the way her lover had practically spat out the last word. “I believe at least a certain amount of my strength was developed naturally thanks to having to carry around my siblings and our pets, tending to the house all by myself from a very early age on and fighting off the physical assault from those people.”
Kate's widened in terror at her beloved's last words, her teeth gritting, barely able to restrain the white hot fury directed towards those monsters who had had the audacity to refer to themselves as Nastya's parents. “They assaulted you on top of everything?”
The older girl bit her bottom lip, regretting having shared that piece of information, not wishing to upset her lover.
She sighed, a sad smile that broke Kate's heart on her face. “They did, but that was all so long ago. I eventually learned how to defend myself and my siblings and they gave up, knowing I would fight back.
It was not so much for myself but for my siblings that I taught myself self-defense techniques, improved my physical strength. I had to protect them since they had no means to do so themselves yet. They were depending on me and then...
I left them behind with those people. I truly am the worst big sister there ever was...”
They had arrived back in the trailer by now, Nastya having laid Kate on the bed, the tall girl still standing next to it fiddling with her hands.
Kate held her arms wide open, whispering. “Come here, my love.”
Nastya swallowed, tears brimming in her eyes. She fought an inner battle with herself for a moment there, but in the end, the prospect of being held by the younger girl was too tempting to resist and she gave in, accepting the warm embrace, her tears finally dropping.
Kate gently ran one hand through Nastya's soft blonde hair while her other hand rubbed her back soothingly. Her lips pressed a feather-like kiss on her beloved's forehead.
Nastya heaved a heavy sigh, her sobs finally having ceased, her voice sounding exhausted. “I think about them every single day. Have they survived? Are they still alive? Did they manage to escape that hell hole, the fangs of those monsters?”
Kate nodded, her own voice soft, heavy with emotion. “It must be so hard for you, my love. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of having to leave behind everything you cared for from one moment to the next. Let's hope by a lucky twist of fate they were saved.”
Nastya nodded slowly, burying her face further into her beloved's embrace, or rather her cleavage.
The redhead's cheeks involuntarily heated up once more at the intimate contact. Nastya who noticed the younger girl's elevated perspiration and heartrate smirked in satisfaction and deciding to tease her lover ran her tongue over Kate's exposed chest.
The younger girl moaned out, blushing even harder, rasping out. “N-Nastya, what are you doing?”
The blonde's expression turned smug, her tone downright teasing. “I seem to recall that we had previously agreed to engage in physical activities when being back here at our trailer. Had we not? I wish to make love to you, Kate. If you are agreeable with that.”
Kate licked her lips, her eyes had clouded up in desire, the husky innuendo of her voice sending pleasant shivers through the whole of Nastya's body. “I'm very agreeable with that, my love. I seem to be craving dessert and by the looks of it so do you.”
The blonde chuckled seductively. “Oh, I certainly am craving dessert as well if said treat is your 'pie', my love.”
Kate coughed at this, playfully slapping the older girl's arms. “Nastya, you're such a tease! If you don't touch me anytime soon I'll have to touch myself instead.”
For a moment there the blonde contemplated the rather tempting offer, the mental image of Kate pleasuring herself sending a jolt to her nethers. Knowing her lover needed her touch, craved it even, however, Nastya rode up the younger girl's dress, pulling down her knickers, revealing her perfect center, glistening in wetness.
Nastya groaned at the sight, not wasting any more time she went right for her target, two long, slender fingers curling up against those slick, velvety walls, soft plump lips engulfing the highly sensitive bundle of nerves atop the redhead's center, alternating between sucking and gently biting the soft nub.
Kate's mind went blank, her toes curling, back arching and for a moment there she swore she was flying just like her alter ego Captain Kathryn Janeway all the way out in space, defying gravity, seeing the moon and stars.
Only thanks to her enhanced physique was Nastya able to keep up with the abundance of her beloved's essence leaving that tight channel. The blonde herself greedily drank it all, groaning as her own orgasm washed over her triggered by that of her lover, the younger girl's taste without fail sending her over the edge.
'I believe it is safe to say that I am addicted to her. Soon I am going to turn her into my wife so no one can take her away from me. I want to spend the rest of my days with her.' The blonde mused as they lay in each other's arms, bodies slick with sweat and the remnant of their love juice.
Nastya carefully covered them with the blanket, not wanting to risk Kate catching a cold or even worse. The chances for Nastya herself getting sick were close to non-existent what with her enhanced physique and strong immune system, Kate on the other hand was an ordinary human.
'No, she is certainly not ordinary. She is extraordinary. Still, I can not afford to take any unnecessary risks. Despite her background growing up on a farm and her seemingly resilient nature, one may never know in times like these.'
Their first performance in Dublin had been a full success, the crowds audibly loving the play they had premiered that night. Captain Kathryn Janeway and the crew of her rocket ship Voyager took the hearts of the Dubliners by storm. The Voyager theater went to celebrate their successful premiere in a local pub.
The youngest members of the family had begged and pleaded the adults, clearly blackmailing them with those irresistible puppy eyes and please's into being allowed to accompany them despite the rather late hour.
In the end, it had been agreed upon that Natascha and Phoebe would be allowed to stay for a while and Pjotr would later accompany them back to the camp. The head of the theater knew the four others had a lot to discuss regarding their planned double wedding and decided to leave them to it.
Once the others were gone, Kate asked curiously. “Have you two come up with a plan for how you're gonna trick the law so you can get married to each other as well?”
Beverly wore a smug expression that spoke more than any words could.
The redhead chuckled. “Aunt Bev? Am I right thinking you have found a way?”
The oldest of the foursome nodded, replying to her niece cryptically. “Indeed, we have.”
Kate rolled her eyes at her aunt's behavior and Nastya had a hard time not making an inappropriate sound, the sight of this specific expression of her lover always reminding her of... more intimate scenarios.
Nastya, desperate to distract herself asked her friend. “Dee, could you enlighten us regarding your plan? I am quite curious myself how it is you believe you will be able to circumvent the law and authorities.”
Dee leaned forward, her tone conspiratorial. “As you might have noticed already, this woman right here.”, she lightly squeezed her lover's arm at this “much like yourself is quite tall, especially for a woman and her wardrobe is quite... masculine as well. So, along with Pjotr's connections and talents in terms of faking birth certificates and documents, even going as far as having you registered as a male back then and my talent at potion-making, helping her alter certain traits accordingly, there'll be no problem at all having us legally get married to each other.”
Dee winked playfully at her young friend whose jaw had dropped comically. “That is... brilliant! Dee, there is no doubt in my mind anymore that you indeed are a genius. Not that there ever was a doubt of that sort in my mind in the first place, but... you never fail to impress me with your ingenuity!”
Their plan of having their double wedding once they would be back in Carbury slowly manifested. Kate could already picture them celebrating at the farm, dancing just like on her birthday, eating tons of her mother's delightful food, talking, laughing.
Nastya frowned, turning towards her lover. “Kate, you are crying. Are you unwell?”
The redhead blinked in confusion at her lover's question, wiping at her eyes, noticing to her astonishment that Nastya's statement had been correct.
'Why am I crying? I'm not sad at all. That's strange...'
Kate felt quite bewildered at her own body's reaction, reassuring the older girl. “I'm fine, my love. Don't worry. Had you not told me that I was crying I would've honestly not even noticed. I just imagined our wedding, celebrating at the farm together with my parents. It made me think of my 16th birthday, the way we danced together till the wee hours.”
Nastya smiled at the fond memory of that evening, gently pecking her love's cheek. “I love thinking of that day, Kate. It was a time I will never forget. I am very much looking forward to our wedding dance, my love.”
She leaned closer to the petite girl, whispering in her ear seductively. “And to our wedding night as well.”
Kate's cheeks unsurprisingly turned crimson, deeply humiliated by the older girl's words, muttering embarrassingly. “It's late. We should head back to our trailer.”
The two older women agreed and the quartet made their way back to the camp. Nastya suddenly stopped without warning causing Kate to bump into her.
The redhead asked voice laced with irritation. “Nastya, what's wrong?”
The blonde wordlessly nodded towards the other side of the street, Kate gazed in the direction, freezing on the spot. The young woman had a hard time not to scream at the sight of an all too familiar face.
The petite woman breathed out. “H-how? W-who?”
Suddenly she remembered her last conversation with her father who had told her that they had relatives here in Dublin. Kate grew giddy in excitement. 'Can it be? By the looks of it, she could clearly be a Janeway.'
The young girl told her lover. “I think this might be a relative of mine, Nastya. Pa told me we apparently have family living here in Dublin and that I shouldn't be surprised if I'd find myself running into another Janeway here. Judging by that girl's looks I'd say chances are high she's family. I'd love to find out for sure.”
Nastya nodded slowly. “That sounds logical. She indeed resembles you greatly, Kate. It would be far more surprising would she not be a family member of yours than if she indeed was. Do you wish to engage in conversation with her?”
Kate beamed disarmingly. “I'd love to talk to her, my love. Would you be alright with that?”
Nastya smiled softly. “Of course, my love. Let us go over to her and find out if she indeed is another Janeway. It is always pleasant meeting a family member of yours.”
The lovers crossed the street, following the young woman who had reached what appeared to be her home and was currently busy fumbling with keys.
Kate swallowed down her nervosity and spoke up, voice firm and authoritative. “Excuse me, miss?”
The young woman dropped her keys in shock, her eyes growing the size of dinner plates at the sight of Kate.
The other redhead's voice was audibly shaky. “W-who are you?”
Nastya's eyes turned wide, utterly astonished hearing that voice which sounded almost exactly like that of her lover. 'How is that possible? One could think they are identical twins.'
Kate, not noticing how the stranger's voice sounded almost exactly like her own, never having heard her own voice before, spoke up. “I'm Kate Janeway. My father, Edward Janeway told me we have family living here in Dublin. Judging by your looks I was wondering if you're a Janeway as well.”
The young woman gasped, a wide smile forming on her face. “I am in fact a Janeway as well! Oh my God! The world sure is a small place. I'm Jenny. It's a true pleasure meeting you, Kate! You said your father's name was Edward, yes? May I know where you're coming from? You're not from Dublin, I've gathered this much.”
Kate grinned and nodded. “The pleasure's mine, Jenny. It's wonderful meeting another Janeway here. Yes, my father's name is Edward, or Ed for short. I'm from Carbury in Kildare County.”
Jenny gasped. “Uncle Ed! My father has only ever told me about his brother, but now I finally met his daughter! I believe we're cousins, Kate. Who's your company, by the way? Are you already married?”
Kate gasped. “No way! You're the daughter of pa's brother? Which one of them? That's incredible! I'm so excited to know I have a cousin!”
Kate smiled fondly at her lover, telling Jenny, just to be on the safe side. “This is Nikolai, my fiance. We're not married yet, but once we'll be back home with my parents we're gonna finally make it official. How about you, Jenny? Are you married, or engaged?”
Jenny explained. “Our fathers are identical twins actually, Kate, my father's Richard Janeway. Oh, how exciting! Congratulations! You truly lucked out, Kate. It's plain to see you two were meant for each other.
I'm actually still on the lookout. Dublin may be a big city, but it's rather hard to find a decent man, honest, caring, loving. Most guys my age are only looking to have some fun...”
Nastya had already fallen asleep, but Kate felt incredibly giddy thanks to just having met her cousin. She already liked Jenny and contemplated inviting the other girl to her wedding.
Of course, she'd still have to discuss this with her lover and also Dee and Beverly, but in her own opinion having Jenny around sounded wonderful. She was family, after all, and maybe a little trip to the countryside would do her good.
The young girl grabbed her journal from its hiding, casting a loving glance at the peacefully sleeping form of her lover before opening a new page, writing a new entry.
June 3rd, 1847, Dublin, Ireland
Dear diary,
What an eventful day! We have merely arrived here in Dublin, but a lot has happened in this one day. We have had two delightful meals at a local pub, went exploring the gorgeous city center and the premiere of our play was a full success as well.
Earlier on our way back from the pub to our trailer, we met my cousin! Can you believe it? Her name is Jenny Janeway and she looks almost exactly like me. Her father is pa's identical twin, Richard. I can't believe pa has never told me of him before.
I already like Jenny a lot and I'd love to invite her to join us for our double wedding if the others are fine with that. She's part of the family too, after all, and I'm sure ma and pa would be happy to get to know her.
Maybe pa's brother Richard could accompany us as well. I wonder how long those two haven't met each other. They must miss each other a lot. Based on my knowledge regarding identical twins, one usually can't be without the other.
It's all the more strange how pa has never even talked about Richard before. Was he aware that he lives here in Dublin and did he want me to meet him? He only mentioned that there's family living here, nothing specific. I wonder if he looks like pa.
If Jenny is anything to go by, he most likely does. Gods, that would surely be odd! Meeting a man that's the spitting image of pa! I wonder if their personalities are similar too and if his wife resembles ma. Nah, that would be a little too much of a coincidence. Now, wouldn't it?
Nastya was oddly quiet when I talked to Jenny. I hope she didn't mind me introducing her with her male alias. It was just a means of precaution. We've only met Jenny, after all, and I'm not entirely sure if she's trustworthy, or open-minded.
Another thing I've noticed was my state. Earlier at the pub, I cried for no reason. I merely imagined Nastya and my wedding, being at the farm, dancing, eating tons of ma's food, talking, laughing, having a great time. Maybe it was the stress of the day.
I had yet another emotional discussion with Nastya after lunch, the topic of her past and those monsters who had the audacity to call themselves her parents is always painful, both to her and me.
It's crazy how every time I look into her eyes, I can see my future, our children, but of course, that's impossible. We're still two women, after all, and we're lucky enough we'll be able to get married, lead a life together.
I know she'd love to have children herself, but we have Natascha and Phoebe. For me being with her is more than enough, although we're still very young.
Ma and pa would surely be happy to have grandchildren too one day, but seeing as how Pheebs seems to be taking after me in terms of our orientation, that seems impossible. Sigh.
Why am I even having these kinds of thoughts? I only hope Nastya's never ever gonna read these entries. It would break her heart for sure. I love her so much, more than anything.
Would I be Captain Kathryn Janeway of the rocket ship Voyager now, there'd surely be a way for Nastya and me to have children together even as two women, but sadly Science and medicine are nowhere near at a point where this is possible and the world is far too close-minded and focused on heterosexuals still.
Oh, to be out there in space, explore the vast galaxies along with Nastya then settle down on some cozy earthlike planet.
One can always dream.
I'll write you again soon
