Suit
"What's wrong with you?"
Marlene was fiddling with her dress, seemingly uncomfortable.
She huffed, "Mum made me wear it, said I can't wear a suit."
Dorcas frowned, "It's your brother's wedding though, shouldn't it be up to him and his girlfriend?"
Marlene shrugged, staring down at the dress again.
Dorcas sighed, "Alright, come on."
"What?" Marlene blanched.
Dorcas pulled Marlene over to the bar and ordered a merlot.
"You don't drink wine," Marlene commented, glancing to Dorcas in confusion as they made their way back to where the other guests has gathered.
Once in the eye line of Marlene's mother, Dorcas purposefully tripped, spilling her glass of red wine onto Marlene.
Marlene's mother came hurrying over, "Oh, gosh, what happened."
Dorcas turned to her, "I'm so sorry! I just tripped over this rug and... my wine!"
Marlene's mother sighed, frowning at Marlene, "How are we going to clean you up? The ceremony is about to start!"
Dorcas grabbed Marlene by the arm, "It's okay, Mrs Mckinnon, I think I have a spare change of clothes in my car."
Marlene's mother politely smiled at Dorcas, "Well, thank you", she frowned slightly at Dorcas' suit, "But Marlene is quite a bit shorter, I'm not sure your clothes will fit."
Marlene smiled, "It's really the only option, mum."
Her mother sighed, "Okay, fine. Go change quickly."
Marlene grinned, practically running outside with Dorcas.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
