It all started as a random encounter.
A student had mysteriously gone missing for two days, only to be found locked inside an abandoned classroom—confused, weak, and with no memory of what happened.
Aiah Reyes, a criminology student, took an interest in the case. But she wasn’t the only one. Through a chaotic chain of events, she found herself working alongside six other girls, all from different backgrounds. By the time they uncovered the truth—a botched initiation ritual gone wrong—they realized something:
They made a damn good team.
And thus, The Veil was born.

MARAIAH QUEEN “AIAH” REYES – The Skeptic, The Leader
Major: Criminology
Specialty: Deductive reasoning, interrogation, strategic thinking, and unraveling complex mysteries.
How She Joined: She started the investigation out of sheer curiosity and ended up leading the team.
Aiah grew up watching crime documentaries with her grandmother, who was a retired forensics specialist. While other kids played outside, she spent her childhood reading case files, solving logic puzzles, and memorizing legal loopholes. Her fascination with logic, patterns, and behavioral analysis made criminology an obvious choice. When she entered San Antonio, she had one goal: to become the best investigator the country had ever seen.
Her sharp tongue and brutal honesty make her intimidating, but she’s fiercely protective of her team. She doesn’t believe in ghosts, curses, or urban legends—but she believes in evidence. She won’t stop until she gets to the truth, no matter what it takes.
Secret Weakness: Hates admitting when she’s wrong.
MA. NICOLETTE “COLET” VAZQUEZ – The Tech Genius
Major: Computer Science
Specialty: Hacking, surveillance, digital forensics.
How She Joined: Aiah needed access to a deleted security footage—Colet comes to the rescue.
Colet grew up with five older brothers, all of whom were engineers or IT experts. She learned how to code before she learned how to ride a bike. She was a child prodigy in programming. Growing up, she was obsessed with cybersecurity, hacking, and digital puzzles. Her hacking skills are legendary on campus, though she insists she only does “mildly illegal things.”
She rarely looks up from her laptop, and she talks faster than she thinks. She believes in aliens, secret government conspiracies, and the dark web’s hidden truths. She does not believe in sleep.
Secret Weakness: Easily startled. She once threw a laptop at someone who scared her.
MARY LOI YVES “MALOI” FERNANDEZ – The Social Butterfly
Major: Journalism
Specialty: Gathering intel, infiltration, and public relations.
How She Joined: Overheard Aiah and Colet discussing the first case and offered her "media expertise."
Maloi grew up in a family of politicians and learned how to manipulate information before she could even spell “journalism.” She can charm anyone into spilling secrets. She knows everything about everyone. Whether it’s rumors, campus scandals, or faculty drama, she has all the receipts. If something happens on campus, she knows about it first.
Her bubbly personality makes her seem harmless, but she’s actually the most dangerous one in the group. She’s charming, fearless, and a smooth talker. She can get people to confess secrets without them realizing it.
Secret Weakness: Hopeless romantic—she falls for every pretty girl she interrogates (Maybe also the reason why she offered help in the first place).
GWENETH “GWEN” SIANGCO – The Lockpick Expert
Major: Architecture
Specialty: Lockpicking, breaking into places without getting caught.
How She Joined: The group needed access to a locked room. Gwen picked the lock with expertise.
Gwen grew up fixing things. She knows how buildings work, how security systems function, and how to open doors that shouldn’t be opened. She is a student assistant for the Facilities Offices, making her have access to areas that are normally off-limits. She agreed to open the locked door as payment for a favor she owed to Maloi.
She’s quiet, observant, and always watching, preferring actions over words.
Secret Weakness: Terrible with technology.
STACEY AUBREY SALAZAR – The Forensic Nerd
Major: Chemistry
Specialty: Forensic analysis, toxicology, evidence examination.
How She Joined: Analyzed a mysterious chemical they found at the room. She owed Maloi a favor, so she has no other choice but to comply.
Stacey lives for science. She treats every case like a full-scale forensic investigation.
She’s methodical, focused, and loves running experiments. She’s the calm, rational one who runs forensic tests while everyone else is arguing. She once tested a blood sample on a cafeteria tray—while people were still eating.
Secret Weakness: Laughs at the worst jokes.
MIKHAELA JANNA “MIKHA” MONTEMAYOR – The Master of Disguises
Major: Drama
Specialty: Undercover work, deception, disguises.
How She Joined: They needed someone to do an undercover work, also owes Maloi a favor.
Mikha is a theater prodigy with chameleon-like acting skills. She can change her entire personality and voice in seconds.
She’s also dramatic as hell. She treats every case like a blockbuster movie, often delivering monologues before interrogations. She’s the one who goes undercover, flirts for information, and wears ridiculous wigs.
Secret Weakness: Forgets she’s undercover sometimes.
SHEENA MAE CASTILLO – THE CHAOS GREMLIN
Major: Film
Specialty: Chaos, handling physical confrontations.
How She Joined: Tried to sneak into the crime scene during the first case—Aiah caught her, but recruited her instead.
Sheena is the wild card. She thrives on danger and gets way too excited about high-stakes situations. Raised by an ex-cop father who let her watch action movies instead of cartoons, she thrives on chaos. If there's a locked door, she’ll kick it down first and ask questions later.
Despite her recklessness, she’s loyal and protective. She fully believes in ghosts, curses, and all things paranormal.
Secret Weakness: Cannot sit still for more than five minutes. Cannot lie to save her life. Her face gives everything away.
And together, they became “The Veil”.
