The wolverine

When Izuku was born Inko knew he would not be like other people. He would not be like other kids his age. Mostly because he gazed at her and the doctors with such wisdom in his dark green eyes that are unnerved most of the staff. On top of that, he was born with his quirk that some hot despite being mettle that was unbreakable and after being molded one time could not be reshaped. It lined his bones and even small little claws that would when active protrude through the space between his knuckles.

Inko knew a lot of things about her baby that the doctors just guessed at. She knew for a fact that he was born as a reincarnation of someone else. She also knew that despite what everyone else thought the power her Izuku had was not a quirk. She knew this because as a young woman she was told she would never have a child. That her body just could not handle it.

It took Inko almost ten years of research to find someone who could help her. It was a long shot but Inko was desperate and would do anything to have a child of her own. The price from hat she was told was not too much but still, quite a bit so it took her longer ten she wanted to save up for it.

When she was able to make an appointment with the person who was said to be able to grant almost any wish Inko was ecstatic but scared at the same time.

**Flashback to that night**

It was rather late at night when Inko arrived at the apartment complex that the man lived in. It turned out the person’s quirk was some sort of wish-granting quark and the way he made a living was to charge an amount for each wish he granted. However, by the run-down look of the building that looked like it had been a rich chocolate brown at one point in its life.

The building itself was rather tall looking to be close to seven stories. It took up most of the small block it was on and also surrounded a courtyard that from what Inko saw was just as run down as the rest of the building. From what she saw it looked like most of the neighborhood was build close to two hundred years ago to be some type of low-income area.

Inko abandoned the idea of using the elevator and used the stairs to go up to the third floor to find the apartment. The climb was a little scary because it looked like the railing was about to fall off. That and a few children who lived in the complex ran up and down the stairs next to her without slowing down.

When Inko got to the apartment it had a strange sigil on the door. What seemed to be the two different colored stars in a circle surrounded by strange symbols she could not make out.

Knocking on the door she only had to wait a few moments before someone answered it. It was a short pleasant-looking man with short black hair and a rather plain face. The only thing that stood out to her was his bright white eyes. The entire eyeball was a bright white almost like they were glowing. The glow would have been more unnerving if the man had not had such a soft smile on his face.

“Oh, you must be Miss Midroiya. Come in I hope you found the place well enough. I do apologize for having to meet you here at the apartment. My office is being repainted right now and the fumes need a few more hours to clear out before I can use it again.”

Walking into the small apartment Inko was greeted by a living space right away. It looked like organized chaos and as if the man had been working from home for a few weeks at most. Inko waved off his concern as she said: “Oh I do not might you did come highly recommended and I do understand the need to repaint the smell can be quite bad.” Being sown to a soft looking but old couch Inko sat down the man sat in front of her. “Ok let get to this. Over your email, you had expressed the want to produce a child. I feel like I should explain while it is possible for me to grant that wish the result will be quite strange. Seeing as you are in the universe not able to have a child what is going to happen is that a person who is not meant to die but is going to die ina different universe will be pulled from there and reborn in a way, as your child. The child will look like you but will have the memories and if possible the powers of the person that their soul is made of. On top of that, it is a possibility that they will have the personality of the person as well.”

The info dump was a little much for Inko so it took her a moment to process what the man had said. Nodding to herself she said “I am willing to do anything to have a child, please. If there is a chance of having a child I will love whoever they turn out to be.” Inko was willing to beg the man but he held up his hand and said. “I am just informing you of what is going to happen per the contract I sent you if you are unhappy with the outcome you can not take any type of action against me.” He looked at her with such a stern look in his eyes that Inko could only nod.

Smiling again he said, “Ok I just need you to make the wish, and with in the next forty-eight hours you will either be pregnant or giving birth to your child.”

Inko nodded a little put off by the mention of birthing her child not too long after she made her wish but she was willing to do anything to have a child. “I wish I had a child.”

**End of flashback**

True to his word two days after she made her wish Izuku was born. Dubbed the miracle child Izuku was born to a mother who had no ovaries. Not that Inko had known she did not have any all her doctor had told her was that she could not have a child. Or that all she remembered from her appointment.

The child had the beginnings of a mass of wild green hair and the darkest vibrant green eyes she had ever seen. She could see the intelligence behind those eyes and whispered to her child .”I am sorry please forgive me for this I just wanted a child so badly and this was the only way.” She knows the baby could not answer her back but she could have sworn she saw forgiveness in the vivid green of her child’s eyes.

**Five years later**

Izuku has known for a long time he was not really the son of the woman he was born to. He also remembers his own death after his rescue of not only his own daughter/clone but a whole group of mutant kids. He remembered his whole life right down to the past he had forgotten. It was a lot to remember for such a young mind and it would often resurface in his dreams. However, he would not have it any other way.

He had a loving if not a little overbearing mother. He still had his healing powers and his claws. He even despite everything had a friend who had what this world called a quirk. It was something Izuku had to get used to he was no longer a mutant but a quark user and on top of that he was no longer Logan but Izuku.

He was happy for the first time he had spent so much time in Japan though it was because of the war he did learn the language and even most of the customs that he needed in his daily life now.

His friend however was at the moment on the verge of getting his ass handed to him. That and the teachers were going to get a stern talking to about how they handled the children in their care. You should never ignore a child who is acting out just because he wanted to be a public figure as an adult. I would only make the person they grew up to be something no child should look up to.

At the moment Bakugo his so-called friend was towered over a smaller child cackling like a mad man setting off small explosions. Walking over to his friend and the purple-haired child who seemed to be wearing a muzzle (something else Izuku would be having a talk to someone about and sooner then said person would be ready for) He smacked Bakugo across the face and said” I thought I told you being a bully would not only make you a villain but the worst hero in the world.” Then look of pure shock on the blond boy’s face and the budding bright red hand mark on his check almost make Izuku laugh. However, he needed to stay strong “You want to be a hero do not follow other people like a sheep and be a lion and lead the pack. Show then others it is not right to treat someone like shit because of the quirk they have or the lack of one. Or would you like me to let your mother know that you are once again treating others like shit? Because believe me not only will I tell her but I will tell my own mother”

As Izukunspoke the blond boy seemed to get mad but at the mention of the way he was acting and the threat of both their mothers being told Bakugo calmed down and looked at least a little bit upset. “But he wanted to be a hero even though he does not have a strong quirk I just wanted to show him it was not possible,” Bakugo said. (Well more like whined but he would deny it till he was blue in the face) Nodding Izuku said “Yes and what would a hero do if some fan came up to them and asked for advice on being a hero with a quirk not good for fighting? Would he belittle the fan or would he tell then to learn how to fight? Maybe even give recommendations to a dojo?” Izuku smiled and crossed his arms over his chest when the realization dawn on his friend’s face. “Now you are getting it. There is no quirk that is bad no quirk that is good just people that are bad or good. Like there is no quirk best for being a hero just how you use your quirk and who you choose to save or beet down with it.”

Bakugo nodded and said, “I am sorry I will do better from now on because I am going to be the number one hero.” Without being prompted Bakugo walked over to the child he was tormenting and held out his hand. “I am sorry I should not have treated you like that. Can we start over and maybe be friends.” The purple-haired looked frightened for a moment and looked to Izuku for a moment. Seeing a bright smile on the green-haired boy. He turned back to the blond and grasped his hand.

Nodding he whispered, “I would like that I think.” It seemed hard for the boy to talk so Izukunwalked over to him and asked “Do you want me to take the muzzle off you? I do not care who put it on. I will also be having a long talk with whoever I need to do this.” he gestured to the muzzle. “Will not be happening again.”

The boy nodded but backed up saying “I would like that buy the people looking after I would not and I do not want to get anyone in trouble.” Izuku just smiled at him as he slid a claw out the mettle shining in the afternoon light and said “Oh do not worry about me. I can care for myself.”

The boy nodded and said” My name is Hitoshi Shinsou I am so happy that I meet you two. Even though it did start out as little scary.” Izuku never stopped smiling as he walked over to the boy now that he had his name Izuku said “I am Midoriya Izuku that jack ass is Bakugo Katsuki. Do not worry about him he just sometimes needs help taking his titanic head out of his own ass.”

That made the blond erupted with some colorful words but made Hitoshi giggle. Making his miss when Izuku carefully slips his claw under the muzzle and cut it off. He did jump a little when it fell off his face and hit the ground. Izuku did not give him enough time to react to the feeling of it being off. Grasping the boys face in his hands Izxukuninspected then lines it was cutting into the skin making sure none of them were going to be too deep. A soft snarl slipped past his lips when he found that not only could he see bone and that tey were bleeding rather heavy. Taking the boy’s hand Izuku pulled out his phone with the other and said “Suki I need you to can your mom and Imma call mine. Toshi needs to see a doctor and now.” When the blond looked over to see the blood running down the purple-haired boy’s neck he nodded and did as he was told. Not once making a quip about it.

It only took both their mothers five minutes to get to the school and in that time Izukunhad a talk with the staff and the police and was not somehow the legal guardian of one Hitoshi Shinsou. How he managed to do that no one rightfully knew but when his mother came to pick them up. She just sighed and went with it. The three of them made their way to the er and Izuku got Hitoshi seen by a doctor and even got the boy to tell him what quirk he had.

It only took the boy five hours after that to get everything together and make room in Izuku’s room for Hitoshi and the furniture he would be ordering for the boy. For now, Izuku made sure he would be sleeping on his bed and Izuku himself would take a futon on the floor till everything was settled.
