just one moment
After the car accident, Mia found out that her dad, was most likely not going to survive but given the fact that she was now 24 weeks pregnant and about to be 7 months pregnant, she didn’t need the stress. Last week Emily and Zoe had broken up, not even Mia could believe it since they were so happy. Jen and Mia had been figuring out a date to set for the wedding but everything was just too overwhelming for Mia, between Emily breaking up with Zoe over the fact that she just wasn’t ready to meet Zoe’s kids yet, and Nate belittling her just to find out the car crash meant that he is dying, it was a lot.
Mia had been bottling up her stress, which she knew wasn’t good for the babies, she ended up having a panic attack but tried to hide it. They soon kept happening, but Mia couldn’t handle it anymore. She had a meltdown in the car with Jen one day on the way to get food. Mia didn’t usually go verbal during meltdowns but during this one, she was so overwhelmed and overstimulated that it made her panic. “Jen I need to go to the hospital!” Mia said, screaming. Jen immediately hauled ass to get to the hospital quickly. She was brought in, it had lasted for an hour, and told that it was just a panic attack even though she knew it wasn’t, once the doctor left to check a test they had done on Mia to make sure she was okay, Mia immediately opened up. “That wasn’t a panic attack, Jen, it was a meltdown.” Mia said, still worrying about how having a meltdown could affect the babies. “Honey, what have you been stressed about?” Jen asked, she immediately thought of everything she was going through, and her heart sank for her. “Whenever we get home, you can talk to me, we can watch a movie on the couch with the boys, anything you want, I just want you and our kids to be okay.” Jen said, cupping Mia’s face before kissing her. “I love you, thank you for everything you’ve done for me.” Mia said, tearing up. The doctor soon came back, and the babies were fine, which was a sigh of relief for them.
When Mia got home, she was immediately met with Charlie and Henry asking if she was okay, along with Emily. “I’m okay, guys, I just had a meltdown, but I’m going to be okay.” Mia said, calmly and reassuringly. “We were all worried about you and the twins.” Charlie said, he had grown to care a lot about Mia over the years, the boys had basically become her kids too. “Thank you, but the babies are fine, I just need to take one thing at a time so I don’t get too overwhelmed.” Mia said, almost wanting to cry, she was so hormonal that everything made her emotional. The boys and Emily had immediately understood her situation, even though it was hard for her being autistic, she was so happy to have her family.
