A VERY IMPROTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
I'm ending the book.
WAIT WAIT WAIT! Before you panic!
I'm not ending the book, however, I am ending this specific one. The one you just clicked on.
Let me start from the beginning:
When I first started writing this random idea, I would have never expected it to be read by many (unless you just love reading Yuri suffer, which high five!) I thought only a couple people would read and follow through. And back then, I didn't have solid head-canons or perfectly thought out ideas for what the story is here.
I thought this would be a one shot book but it became a story all of a sudden. I don't hate that! I was interested to keep going and having fun through the journey! It was fun writing all these characters interacting in the many ways I thought of with the help of the readers.
Now, this isn't goodbye! Let me get that out of the way first.
As I'm sure many noticed, things spiraled out of control.
First, it was with the amount of requests. I love them all! But the amount was a huge surprise. Makes me think we all want Yuri suffering and having a family.
Second, the parent situation. While I loved the idea at first, I actually never planned it...it just happened...next thing I know, I'm writing a 13,000 word chapter.
With the requests, I'm still planning on writing many of them! It just needs time.
With the parent situation, I have to say I enjoyed writing it. It was new. Nothing I've written before was that chaotic.
As someone who wishes to be an author one day, I write stories and poetry, so Fanfiction is like a practice. I guess that's why comments mean a lot.
Anyway! The reason I bring this up is because the chaos got too much that I feel like people lost the hype for this specific book.
So, here's what I'm doing:
I'm not deleting it, first of all. I'm just going to put it as complete.
What I am doing is making another work, in the series, where I'll be re-posting all the Groupchat part of the story there, along with the 'Yuri wearing a skirt is outed' chapter, because that was a requested angst of three parts.
So, from now on: I'll be posting only groupchat+requested chapters in that book. So it's mostly the funny parts of this story with the angst. Meaning, yes I will also add the chapters that include the parent messages.
Why?
That brings me to the second part:
As for the parent situation and the deep build on Yuri's character, I decided to add that plot and madness to the 'prequel'. Meaning that the 'prequel' I asked if you'd be interested in, might actually be the journey of how the family came to be, how Yuri came out of his shell, etc... and it will continue up until the parent situation where Yuri finally breaks free.
It'll be a well researched story on trauma and recovery along with help of those who love him. I want to make it as accurate as possible. While I did research for the court scene in this book, it wasn't as accurate. So yes, that story may take a long while, but it's because I want to make it as good as possible.
Also, I mentioned before the amount of requests that exist. I will be making a separate work where you guys can go back to and post as many requests as you wish. And they don't have to be for me only! If anyone wishes to find some fic ideas, they could get inspiration from there! I'll even post the requests that I got already just for everyone to share their ideas, thoughts, etc...
Yeah, there's that.
So, this is what I have to say. This specific book is ending. But the story isn't.
I'm trying to make it less of a mess so it's easier to navigate.
However, it will take some time...why?
Well...your author here is graduating. Tomorrow is my final exam of senior year. My graduation ceremony will be on the 12th of June so things may get busy with preparations.
But yeah...I made it...I've finished High School.
I might actually write a fic where Yuri graduates and the family celebrates but that's for another time.
Until then, let me know what you think of the changes. I'm going to try and live up to all expectations and try to bring back all interests. I hope you allow this chance. Comment down your thoughts or advice if you have any.
After graduation settles, I hope to write more, Fanfiction or otherwise.
If you wish to see any family YOI fics, I have new ones written only including the Podium Family. Yuri suffers a lot in one of them if you love seeing him suffer.
