Patricia sighed, taking the thermometer out of Melly’s mouth “ya have a fever…” She muttered, putting the small object to the side before she sat down next to her wife.
Melly had been sitting on the couch, wrapped up in multiple blankets with a fan pointed at her. The girl’s hair was messy and taken out of her signature low-bun. She wanted nothing more than to hold onto Patricia and sleep, but Melly knew that Patricia would do everything and anything to make her feel better; so being lazy most likely wasn’t an option, it never really was.
“I’m so tired..” The brunette said, sniffling. She buried her head into the blankets around her and let out a long, bored sounding sigh “I know, Honey… But we gotta get ya some medicine, yeah?” “Yeah…”
With that, Patricia made her way to the kitchen, opening a cupboard that was filled with different medicines and first aid kits. The woman looked at each of the small bottles before finding the right one for the sick girl “here, I got it!” She took a spoon from a drawer and walked back to Melly. “It might not taste very good, but it’ll definitely make yer’ fever go away in no time!”
Pouring some into the spoon, she brought it up to Melly’s mouth “Open up, please.” The brunette hesitated before opening her mouth, letting Patricia feed her the spoon full of medicine. She closed her mouth around the spoon and Patricia pulled it out. Melly instantly swallowed and stuck her tongue out in disgust “That’s so gross!” The smaller of the two complained, closing her eyes as she tried to rid herself of the awful taste “aw, c’mon… It aint that bad..” Patricia chuckled and placed the bottle and spoon on the table.
A small feeling of guilt pooled in Patricia’s chest, Melly looked so tired. The taller woman thought for a moment, she was always very strict when it came to her wife's health… But maybe this time… She could give Melly what she’s always wanted when sick.
“Ya still tired..?” “Yeah..”
“C’mere.”
Patricia held Melly in her arms, placing a small kiss on the smaller woman’s cheek “I love ya, honey..” She murmured adoringly, getting a nod in return “I love you too, Pat..”
And with that, Melly fell asleep.
The taste of the medicine lingered in her mouth but it became bearable now that she had gotten Exactly what she had wanted that whole time.
