The World Was Right
Bucks POV
Bucks sat down in the common room and looked at his watch, one hour left on an tiring shift, he couldn’t wait to go home and go to sleep. “Any plans today Sashmo?” Ritter asked as he sat down next to him yawning.
“Nah, just going to go home.” Evan replied.
“Boring, you sure you don’t want to come to the comic expo with us?” Ritter asked.
“I’d love too actually but I have no intention of being the third wheel with you and Eric, so pass.”
“Your loss pal, your loss.” Ritter said as he patted his head. Ritter couldn’t but laugh when Buck squeaked out not the hair. What they didn’t see was their new paramedic in the corner of the kitchen listening to every word.
They had one more call but it turned out to be a false alarm so they weren’t gone too long. He took a quick shower changed his uniform and made his way out to his car but as soon as he stepped out of the firehouse he froze when saw that familiar head of curls. Christopher was standing there taller then the last time he saw him, before he knew it he was walking at a quick pace. Christopher didn’t see him at first but as soon as he did he took off towards him moving as fast as he could.
“BUCKY?”
“Christopher.” The next thing he knew Christopher was in his arms and everything was right with the world. He had Chris and Eddie back in his life. Even though he and Eddie hadn’t spoke to each other, he knew that eventually things would be ok again, that he would have his best friend back and perhaps something more. But for right now he was going to concentrate on the boy in his arms, the boy that was turning into a teenager.
