Married Morning 2 Electric Boogaloo
They couple laid down in the bed facing back to back, “Goodnight Jaune.”
“Goodnight Reese,” the couple then went to sleep both thinking that at least they weren’t alone in the craziness that was their life.
Reese woke up the next morning feeling warm. She moved closer to the source behind her, and felt her back press against someone else, and an arm wrapped around her. ‘Who is that?’ She tensed up slightly as she remembered what happened the day before. ‘Oh right, it’s Jaune, my husband,’ the skater felt her face turn red. ‘It does feel nice though,’ she thought as she snuggled back into Jaune.
Reese lay there for a couple more minutes enjoying the comfort that her new husband provided. She pulled the covers over them a bit more to keep her teammates from bothering them. She was just about to fall back to sleep when she heard her friends start moving around, ‘Really? They had to wake up now.’
“Well, look at this cute little couple,” Reese heard her partner coo.
“Urgh, shut up, Arslan. Just let us sleep,” the skater groaned.
“Awe, why not Reese? Want to spend more time snuggled up with your hubbie?”
“Maybe, I just want to sleep, and he’s warm.”
“I want to sleep more to,” Jaune said drowsily from behind Reese.
“Ok, but with all the excitement yesterday, did you forget what we were supposed to do today?” Arslan asked looking at the sleepy couple.
“What are you talking about?” Reese said finally sitting up.
“We were going to go looking for dresses for the dance in a couple weeks,” Arslan sighed looking at her partner.
“Oh, right we were going to that boutique we found last week.”
“Yes, and since now that you have a husband, Reese, you can drag him along instead of us.” said Nadir.
Reese blushed at the thought of Jaune seeing her try on dresses, while her partner smirked teasingly. Jaune sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose, “It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been dragged along…”
“Cool, then you are with the ladies today,” Bolin interrupted laying back down in his bed.
“…but I still need to talk to my parents and that may take a while. So, I can’t go with them,” Jaune finished his sentence. “Looks like you guys gotta go with them after all.” The boys of team ARBN groan as they realize that they are still going to be trapped into going dress shopping.
Reese nods, “I understand.” The she thinks of something her mom had said yesterday and smirks. “Besides, I think my mom is going to try and get me into a wedding gown, and you know what they say about the groom getting an early peek of the dress.”
It’s Jaune’s turn to blush as he sits up and looks at his wife, “Yeah, I know and… wait… Is that a Pumpkin Pete t-shirt?”
The skater looks down at her shirt and blushes a little remembering her friends picking on her about it her first day at Haven, “Yes.”
“And, did you get it from one of those box top contests?” Reese hears her team giggle as she nods. “Yes! I’m glad I’m not the only one.” Jaune laughed, “That is how I got the hoodie I wear under my armor.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I thought you saw that yesterday,” Jaune said scratching his cheek.
“Nope didn’t notice it,” Reese said trying to remember seeing the knight in a Pumpkin Pete hoodie.
“Oh,” Jaune then looked at his scroll, “I guess we were both freaking out yesterday.”
“That is putting it lightly,” Reese pouted before getting up. “Since you guys won’t let us sleep, I call the bathroom first. Jaune, you don’t have to wait on me if you need to head out to meet up with your team.”
Jaune thought for a moment, “Yeah, I’ll go ahead and head out. I don’t think everyone wants to wait for me to be the last one to get ready. My team and I will see all of you at breakfast.” Jaune said looking around the room. After the other teens nodded Jaune got up and looked at Reese. Scratching the back of his head Jaune blushed, “I know it’s way to early to do most things couples would do when they are separating for a bit but, would you be ok with a side hug or something at least?”
Reese took her turn to blush, “Yeah that is ok.” The two teens hugged awkwardly before Jaune took his leave. To their credit Reese’s teammates kept their cool until Jaune was out the door and down the hall. “Ok, let it out everyone,” The boys started laughing while Arslan locked Reese in a headlock and ruffled her hair.
“Look at you getting all sweet with your new husband.”
“Shut up, I’m going to get dressed,” Reese removed herself from the headlock and grabbed her clothes entering bathroom just intending to get ready in her usual outfit and deciding that maybe all the effort for her hair and what little make up she wore wasn’t worth it today if she was going dress shopping. ‘Guess it’s a simple day today.”
Jaune had just left his dorm with his team glad they didn’t tease him as much as team ABRN had this morning. He had noticed that Pyrrha seemed rather depressed since yesterday. He made a mental note to try and talk to her alone later to make sure she was ok. “So, what is everyone planning for today I still need to speak with my parents later, but otherwise we still have the rest of Sunday before we need to worry about classes?”
“Planning on studying and meditating this afternoon,” Ren replied.
“Wanting to get some weightlifting done today, Yesterday was a workout, but I NEED MORE!” Nora said with her usual enthusiasm.
“We were supposed to train tonight but I think you should spend some time with Reese since yesterday was so hectic for everyone you two didn’t really get a chance to speak without others around. After her and her team are done dress shopping of course,” Pyrrha’s smile was strained as she spoke.
‘Now I really need to speak with her later,’ Jaune thought, “Alright well I will for the afternoon, but we train closer to nighttime anyways so I think I can still do both.”
Nora grinned, “Jaune you sure wifey won’t be jealous of you cutting your time short to spend time alone with another woman?” she teased.
Jaune thought for a second, “I don’t think so, but I do think she would understand me wanting to stay on top of training. We are huntsmen and huntresses in training.”
Nora nodded as if Jaune had just said the most profound thing ever, “Makes sense.” Ren glanced at Pyrrha noticing she seemed very conflicted.
At this point the group had reached the cafeteria and grabbed their food and began looking for team RWBY to sit with. Jaune was also looking for team ABRN just he knew reasonably that he didn’t need to hover too much, but he wanted to talk to Reese about what to do after they were done with their other things for the day. “Why not just message her?” Ren asked.
“Oh yeah,” Jaune said pulling out his scroll while his team walked towards a waving Ruby. Jaune scrolled through his contacts before realizing something, “Wait, I don’t have her number.”
