CHAPTER 16: A NORMAL DATE

Right after a quick breakfast, you went straight to the meet-up spot. It was the usual empty parking lot behind a small café, which is somewhat closed off by other buildings, and is a short walking distance to his apartment.

It wasn't that pretty of a space, but it had to hold some meaning to Hazaki. You could hear the cars on the road, their humming engines and tires running over flaws reverberate against the walls.

"Yo [f/n]! Sorry I'm late!"

On instinct, you took a deep breath and prepared for the worst. You turn to him, putting up your best front so you wouldn't get yelled at. He was cloudless and his blue eyes shined brightly.

"Hazaki!" You say happily.

He smiles and grabs your hand, leading the way like he always does, but this time he was... gentle..?

You lips purse.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"This way... is not to your apartment..." You notice.

He chuckles as shakes his head. "We can go to my place later, if that's what you want... But for now, I want to spend this day with you."

He's... never treated me before...

It was the first time you and him went on a normal date.

He payed for lunch, and even got you ice cream for dessert. Soon you didn't need to feel tense around him, and started laughing with him. Usually he would randomly get angry at things you do, with his clouds darkening like a sudden storm, but he stays patient and calm throughout. You end up telling him about school and talking about all kinds of things.

"Oh," he looked up to the partially cloudy sky, "it's going to rain."

Since he already had your hand in his, he pulled you under a bus shelter. And just like that, it started to drizzle.

You smile. "Your quirk sure is handy."

He hums in agreement.

The rain got heavy, causing you and Hazaki to go quiet. However it was the pleasant kind of silence, to just listen to the drops satisfyingly hit the ground, and shiver to the occasional irregular cold breeze.

"Hey [f/n]." You turn to him—

He captures your lips with his, with both of his hands cupping your cheeks. You were shocked for a moment before closing your eyes and returning the kiss. When you needed air he did too, a soft smack is heard when his lips part.

You blush as he gives his smile.

This was the Hazaki you fell in love with.

Maybe he changed..?

You went back home in the afternoon, and found Chiyo cooking dinner.

"I'm home," you say, as you took off your shoes.

"Welcome back," she responds.

On the way to your room, you catch a metal case on the dining table. You walk closer and find an angry bunny logo on the cover, which was the same as the charm on your flip phone, and an envelope on top.

"It's addressed to you. I assume it's your hero costume?" She says.

Inside, you found a letter. 

Hello, [f/n].

Inside the case contains your hero costume, equipment*, and a small handbook containing instructions and additional information.

* Supplies are not included in the case, they were delivered to U.A. for safekeeping. I recommend restocking when you can.

"It is," you tell her, and then brought it all to your room.

Actually, you were late to submitting your hero costume form, which was required before you attended. This proved to be troublesome because you never thought of being a hero in the first place, so you had no motivation and ideas for a costume design. Then, in frustrated panic, you gave the problem to Lia.

She agreed to handle everything, from designing to arranging agreements with developers. Having a secretary was a great idea after all, you realized, and all you had to do was wait.

Now that it's arrived, you unwittingly put everything on before looking at yourself in the mirror.

HERO COSTUME MANUAL

Inspired by angry rabbit charms and [f/n]'s signature pout, Revolia presents...

A rabbit-themed costume designed for recovery and security operations! 

Equipment ( from top to bottom, not including the suit, gloves, & boots ):

1. Rabbit Ears Headset

* catches radio signals - good for eavesdropping. a single ear should turn to the direction it senses radio waves from.

* distance communication - connections must be set up before use.

* emergency lights on both ears - good for rescuing people in the dark or emergency medical operations. 

2. Rabbit Backpack

* to open, press the angry bunny button.

* inside is a compressed lightweight stretcher - good for carrying the injured safely. 

3. Waist-Held Rabbit Blood Pack

* a tightly sealed container full of O-negative blood - for emergency transfusions and healing operations. 

4. 2 Thigh-Strap Pockets

* one for bandages.

* one for energy candy. 

5. Safe-Landing Rabbit Boots ( the bottom piece )

* safe-landing function - 3 layers of rubber and a hole for air release works to cushion / break your fall.

* heel layer is made of a material synthesized with your DNA - allows for linking with quirk. 

Extra Notes:

* Headset is connected with your emotions, so your rabbit ears react too. ( The science behind it? Something about receiving small signals from hair nerves... idk. )

* There's a detachable pink-tinted visor for the headset.

* The tail is detachable.

* The backpack can fit other stuff if you decide to not bring the stretcher.

* It's your choice if you want to bring both equipment packs.

* Gloves are made of a material synthesized with your hair so you could touch to create links with your quirk.
