Timely Encounters
(Growls) You might as well give up, The Unknown Figure said.
No. But your friends aren't here to bail you out now, Tyrren, Marco replied back.
And whose fault is that? Tyrren replied.
Marco and I did what we had to do, to protect all worlds, Star said.
And I will do what I have to do, Tyrren replies.
Reveals the sword and charges at Marco.
They immediately start fighting before Marco knocks Tyrren near a boulder before he moves as Marco was about to jab him and avoids another strike before climbing up the rocks and looks down. Star jumps in, but Tyrren strikes Star with his sword, cutting a wound on her as Star lands back down
Huh. More spry than I would expect. Let's see if you can keep up, Tyrren says.
Star and Marco blocks Tyrren's attack as they move at the main part of the cliff front before going through some rock.
Star and Marco jumps up further.
Give it up. I've got 25 years more experience on you. I'm faster, stronger, Tyrren says.
That's your mistake. You assume your timed experience is a greater weapon than our teamwork, Star replied.
Tyrren backs away and jumps up to where Star and Marco are, as they resume fighting before they moved to the side, making Tyrren miss.
Arrogant to the finish. Just like your friends, Star replies.
Arrogant? No...confident! (Charges at Marco, but he tilts back and throws him over.)
As Tyrren was about to fall, dropping his sword in the process, Star grabs hold of his cloak.
Arrogant, it was Raelith's downfall. And now it's yours. Do you yield? Star replies.
Never, Tyrren says.
There's no escape this time, Tyrren. (Lets go of his cloak briefly before grabbing it again) Do. You! Yield?! Star asks.
I...yield, Tyrren reluctantly replies.
So Twenty Five years after it began, (moves back, pulling on Tyrren's Cloak) the battle of the Butterfly and Dragon versus the Chronos Six finally ended at precisely 6 p.m. (gets out his watch to see it turn to 6:00), Marco said.
Thunder was heard as another dark rainbow distortion appeared in the sky and immediately a sword stabs into the middle of the cliffside, unleashing a temporal wave as Star, Marco and Tyrren suddenly appear near it. The Temporal wave surges across the realms resulting in slight temporal displacement or in layman's terms, jumping ahead in time, minutes at most.
Back in New Mewni Creek, Luna, Comet, Blayze and Nick finish with the farmers market and are about to head to the pier when, they were already there?
Uh....what was that? Luna said.
How did we get here? Nick asked.
We were at the market but now we're here? Blayze points out.
Looking around, its apparent they weren't the only people affected, everyone is unsure what just happened.
Did we all jump ahead in time? Comet asked.
Yeah, a whole ten minutes, look at your watches it's 6:10pm, Luna points out.
The group looks and Luna was right, whatever happened jumped them ahead ten minutes, only question was how?
You think this is what Mom and Dad had to deal with, Comet asked.
Maybe, but we can't be sure, let's go find Grandma Moon and Great Aunt Eclipsa, they must know something about this, Luna suggests.
How are you two going to get there? Nick asked.
Comet whistles out loud till a roar slowly ap[porches him, revealing it to be Nachos The Dragoncycle.
With Nachos obviously, Comet snarkly replies.
Comet and Luna hop on Nachos and fly off to The Monster Temple, where Moon, River, Eclipsa and Globgor come out the temple as the two land by the entrance.
Grandma Moon, do you know anything about what just happened? Luna asked Moon.
No idea, we were going to ask your parents the same thing, where are they, by the way? Moon asks.
We were going to ask you the same thing, but whatever just happened must be what they were going to do, Comet says.
What are you implying, Eclipsa chimes in.
Well Mom and Dad told us they'd be busy today and won't be back till the evening, something to take care of they said, Luna answers.
*sighs* Well she got it from me, never thought she'd use it though, Moon mumbles to herself.
Okay, well what they said to you two was code for unfinished business, business that they didn't want anyone knowing about, even us, Moon says.
We go help them, Luna says.
Well, I know Star wouldn't want you two to come, but we may need all the help we can get, so get ready, we leave in 10, and find your mom's dimensional scissors, Moon says.
You think they're...Comet said.
Dealing with this somewhere outside of any habitable planet, then yes, Comet, they are, Moon suggests.
Well now, whatever Star and Marco are dealing with, they won't mind some back up, Eclipsa jokingly says.
Back in The Barren Wastelands....
The clash between Star, Marco, and Tyrren raged on, magic sparking against each other as the cliffside trembled beneath them. Tyrren instinctively grabs the sword, and uses it against Star and Marco, who were familiar with the sword.
Don't even think of using it, your not worthy of it, Star warns.
Maybe in its true form, but this form, only the wicked can use it, dark magic so potent and strong it can darken and corrupt its wielder to be more powerful, Tyrren answers.
Too bad, you must be this tall to use it, Star teases.
ENOUGH!!! Tyrren shouts.
He lunges at Star and Marco who use their mot heavy hitting spells, Rainbow Fist Punch, Phoenix Karate Kick, Kitten Bomb Mace Swing, Narwhal Blast, even some of Eclipsa's old spell, repurposed of course.
The attacks did nothing to him, but make him stronger.
Thanks, I needed the pick me up, Tyrren mocks.
The sword absorbs the attacks as Star and Marco launch them. He charges up the sword, and disappears.
Huh, Where are you?!?!? Star and Marco say.
That's where I was then, Tyrren answers.
He appears again, now behind Star and Marco, unbeknownst to them.
This is where I am now!!! Tyrren shouts.
He swings the sword at them, unleashing something powerful, knocking them back and wounding them with whatever he unleashed on them.
Star and Marco are unable to get up and lay helpless on the ground as Tyrren approached them with a sadistic look on his face as he charges up another attack.
As Tyrren lunged for another strike— A blast of magic seared through the air, forcing Tyrren to twist away. He snarled as Luna, Comet, charged into the fray, Moon, River, Eclipsa, and Globgor right behind them.
Please....No Marco grunted, wiping blood from his lip.
We just got here! Luna shot back, summoning a shield spell to block Tyrren's retaliatory strike.
Tyrren's eyes flickered between them—calculating. How touching. The whole family's here to watch you fail.
Shut up and fight us Tyrren, Star spat, launching herself at him again. With Marco shortly following along.
The battle erupted into chaos. Star attempts to use her spells but it now feels alot more painful using them, so she whipped out her Battle-Axe and steel clashed as she and Marco pressed Tyrren back, their combined assault forcing him toward the edge of the cliff. But the veteran warrior was relentless—every parry, every dodge, every counterstrike precise. He fought like a man who had spent decades honing his rage and lust for revenge into a weapon.
A wicked grin spread across his face as the sword he wields turns a mysterious shade of green.
Let's see how well you handle time itself, Tyrren hissed.
Before anyone could react, he uses the sword and slammed it into the ground.
A shockwave of distorted energy exploded outward. The world around them froze in slow motion, —
—and suddenly, they were fighting in flashes.
One moment, Star was mid-swing—the next, she was five feet to the left, her strike missing entirely. Marco blinked and found himself face-to-face with Tyrren's elbow before he could block. Star and Marco's spells misfired as it caused them excruciating pain using it, their movements jerking unpredictably as seconds stuttered around them.
Luna and Comet charge in to attack and defend, and they are holding him off for a bit, while Moon, River, Eclipsa and Globgor go in with weapons and fists at hand. But they too felt the effects of the time shockwave as Tyrren lands punches on them.
He's disrupting our perception of time! Moon shouted, struggling to hold her ground.
Tyrren moved like a ghost—striking where they had been, where they would be. A cut opened on Comet's Arm. Marco's Dragoncycle roared in disoriented fury.
Star and Marco fought through the chaos, pushing forward—until Tyrren reversed his own motion mid-swing.
The blade pierced through Marco's chest and slammed into Star's ribs, both causing them pain, but no loss of blood.
STAR! Marco caught her as she crumpled, his own vision was fading from a wound he was meant to take alone.
Tyrren loomed over them, the weapon crackling in his grip. You should've stayed down the first time.
He raised it for a final strike on an unconscious Star and Marco.
—only for Globgor's massive fist to hammer into him, sending him skidding back.
Run. Now, get your parents to safety, Globgor growled.
The family didn't hesitate. Luna and Comet hauled Star, while Eclipsa and River got Marco. Moon covered their retreat, combat moves flaring to hold Tyrren back just long enough—
—but as they make it into the airship that Luna, Comet and family arrived in Tyrren's laughter followed them.
This isn't over!!!
And with a flash of twisted light, he opens a portal and with the dark weapon at hand, he walks on through, with the portal closing soon after. The battlefield fell silent.
Two wounded warriors, barely conscious, their family clutching them tightly as they fled and headed back home.
NMC Hospital........
Star and Marco lay in hospital beds, unconscious and patched up with bandages. On the other side of the window separating the duo, Luna and Comet look in disbelief, their parents, strong and noble warriors, beaten to a pulp. Whoever they faced, they pose a great danger to everyone.
Moon, River, Eclipsa and Globgor sit nearby, as more family and friends arrive, Marco's Parents, Mariposa, Meteora, along with Tom and Janna.
What happened? Janna asked.
Star and Marco battled someone far away from here, someone strong and powerful, Moon explains.
No way, My brother and Sister-In-Law are two of the most powerful and strong people I know, no way they get their butts kicked like this, Mariposa chimes in.
Indeed, but why deal with it far away from everyone, why not call in The Renegades to help Star and Marco? Meteora asked.
We don't have all the questions sweetie, clearly whoever we faced, Star and Marco knew them all too well, and they're the only ones who can tell us more, Eclipsa answers.
Give them time Eclipsa, we'll know more once they're awake, Moon advises.
As everyone awaits for Star and Marco to recover, Luna and Comet wander back to the waiting room, where they are met by Blayze and Nicholas, who arrived as soon as they could to console the twins.
Any word on your parents recovery? Nicholas asked.
Hard to tell, whatever they sustained, it isn't normal, but right now they're in stable condition, Luna answers.
Yeah, turns out they weren't the only one, Blayze says while pointing to Comet's arm all bandaged up.
Yeah, hurts like hell, but what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger, Comet says, brushing off the pain from the cut.
Sure it does, Nick sarcastically replies.
Anyways, what's going to happen now? Blayze asks.
We're not sure, all we know is who ever we fought, my Mom and Dad hold the key to knowing more, but the better question is why keep it to themselves, what were they hiding by fighting him on their own.
Any info on this menace? Blayze asked.
All we know is Mom called him Tyrren, and that his power is strong and very corrupting, Comet replied.
Oh wow, let's see, that rules out no one, any bad guy is one of those things, Blayze mockingly says.
Well, another thing to add is he has time manipulation powers, which is unusual cause from the history our parents told us, there was never any villain close enough to time powers like what we saw.
Could it be Bill Cipher? Nicholas asked.
Nah, what this guys showed doesn't match anything related to Bill, and I'm very certain he's gone gone, Luna answers.
You sure? Nick asked.
Yeah, from what our parents went through, whoever we're facing could be worse than Bill, and that's saying something, from what I heard from those involved in The Chaos War, our Mom was the only person that almost ended Bill, that is if he didn't initiate a blitz on the battlefield, Comet says.
So, how does it feel to be involved in all this? Nicholas says to the twins.
I mean, being involved in something as big as this is an understatement, I mean it was just one time where we were put into a real situation, and sure our parents don't allow us to roam to other dimensions for the thrill of an adventure on our own, despite them doing all that when they were our age, its clear what they did then, they don't want to repeat it with us, maybe doing this was a last resort, although they weren't too thrilled when we arrived? Luna suspects.
Yeah, it would make sense if it was just us, but their tone implied it was for Grandma Moon and Great Aunt Eclipsa also, Grandpa River and Great Uncle Globgor as well, maybe Luna and I should head back, hopefully our parents are awake by now, Comet said.
Yeah, well Nicholas and I should head back, we'll do damage control for anyone displaced by whatever temporal anomaly occurred, cause it had more mental effects that we realized, Blayze replied.
Okay, we'll see you two later, Luna replies.
A goodbye kiss per chance? Nicholas asked.
Why not, Luna says.
Luna and Nicholas go in for a kiss, much to the dismay of Comet and Blayze.
Ugh, get a room you two, Comet comments.
As Luna and Comet give their goodbyes to Blayze and Nicholas, the twins head on back to their parents room, and thankfully they were slowly waking up.
After some time, they were allowed to enter the room. Star and Marco slowly gain consciousness to see their family and friends surround them.
Ugh, what happened, where did he go? Star says with a weak tone.
Don't worry about that for now darling, you and Marco should rest up, Moon advises.
No, we can't the more we wait, the more likely his plans go into effect sooner, Star says while in pain.
How are we going to know anything if we just learned about him recently Mom, you and Dad fought him off for a reason, a reason your not telling anyone about, Comet calls out.
Comet's right Star, you and Marco have some explaining to do, clearly you two have met him before, Moon says.
Star looks at Marco, who gives her a nod of approval.
*sighs* Okay fine, I was hoping this would stay between Marco and I, but unfortunately it is time, Star says.
Time for what Star? River chimes in.
Star pauses for a bit before answering her father.
The End of Everything, Star ominously replies.

End of Chapter.
