Telling Ron
It was late at night when Harry got to his room and everyone was asleep. Even though he felt like he really wanted to talk to someone about the wonderful thing that had just happened, the Gryffindor boy decided that it was best to wait until morning, when Ron probably wouldn't have any reason to be mad at him and he could get an honest reaction to his crush on Draco, without grogginess getting in the way.
And so he went to bed, the kiss shared with Draco still fresh in his lips and the whole moment engraved in his mind, filling his heart with warmth and his dreams with delight. It had been a marvelous afternoon indeed.
The morning came and the boys started heading for breakfast. Ron seemed to be in a very bad mood despite his substantial amount of sleep. Harry didn't care, it was now or never, even if it meant prolonging the hunger that his stomach was protesting about.
-Hey Ron, I need to tell you something, it's really important-
-If it's so important why don't you go tell Malfoy? I hear you two are getting along- Replied the Weasley boy with both harshness and a sarcastic upbeat tone.
-Well, I can't because.. it's about him- Said Harry with a hint of confusion over his friend's behavior.
-What did he do now?- Replied Ron with a higher level of interest on the topic.
-Well, he didn't do anything wrong. We just sort of... kissed- Said Harry with uncertainty as he looked at Ron, who just turned to look at him with wide eyes and a very confused look on his face.
-Well, I kissed him first really, because I think I have a crush on him, but he kissed me back, so I think he might like me too. But you can't tell anyone Ron, not until I figure out our "relationship status"- Finished Harry with nervousness.
Ron's expression immediately changed to one of relieved surprise as he walked towards his classmate to embrace him in a friendly hug.
-Oh mate, I'm so happy for you! I had no idea! I thought you two were just becoming best friends, does that mean you're not replacing me with him?- Exclaimed Ron with relief.
-What? Of course not Ron, I could never replace you!-
Harry Potter had kissed Draco Malfoy and all was well. Harry had told Ron about his feelings for the young Malfoy boy and all was well. But when a new announcement appeared in their common room, things were bound to be shaken up: for a grand Winter Solstice Party was at hand.
