Kunikida X Katai Fuff
Kunikida wakes up at the crack of dawn, because of his schedule. He glances over at his sound asleep boyfriend, Katai. A small, loving smile crosses his face. Kunikida heads into the kitchen to make a cup of tea, and he grabs his notebook, only to see that the schedule for today has been crossed out completely! He gets angry for a second, thinking this is Dazai’s doing, before seeing the familiar handwriting at the bottom.
{Doppo, let’s do nothing today! Let’s just stay here.}
Kunikida’s expression softens at the handwriting of his boyfriend. Fine. Maybe just this once he doesn’t need a strict schedule.
Kunikida decides to go back to bed. He lays down next to Katai, careful not to wake him. He falls back asleep.
At about noon, Katai finally wakes up. Kunikida had been awake for a while, but he was just lying there, thinking.
“You gotmy note...” Katai mumbles, some of his words slurring together from sleepiness. He wraps his arms around the blonde, nuzzling his face into his chest.
After quite a while, they finally get up. Kunikida warms up his forgotten cup of tea from earlier and makes Katai a cup as well.
They sit on the couch, leaning up against each other.
After a while, they both get dressed. Kunikida grabs a hairbrush and gently gets the knots out of his boyfriend’s hair.
After he’s done, Katai brushes Kunikida’s hair, pulling it back into his preferred ponytail. Kunikida turns around and places a gentle kiss on the other’s lips. They make breakfast together, keeping the peace of the morning... well... afternoon... by not speaking much. They don’t need to. They know how to work with each other and show their love with no words.
“Let’s go out to eat lunch!” Kunikida suggests, after they watched their favorite show for about 2 hours.
“Great idea,” Katai says.

Back at the agency, there's a heated discussion and bets being placed. Everyone who works at the agency gets a day off once a week, but Kunikida never takes it. Since this is Kunikida’s day off, everyone is utterly flabbergasted at the fact he isn’t there. Even Fukuzawa is in on the betting.
“I bet he drowned!” Dazai says.
“Nah. He definitely lost his notebook and is tearing Yokohama to pieces looking for it.” Yosano argues.
“Maybe he’s gardening!” Kenji says with a smile.
“Maybe he got assassinated,” Kyouka says, this earns her some concerned looks, but she’s ignored.
“Maybe he’s just hanging out with his boyfriend?” Atsushi adds.
“Aaaand! Atsushi wins!” Ranpo says from where he was sitting, eating candy. Watching the scene unfold.
“WHATTTT???” Yosano looks at Ranpo. “How come I didn’t know he had a boyfriend?!” she exclaims.
“Oh! I thought everyone knew!” Atsushi says, raising his hands in defense.
“Even I didn’t know that!” Dazai cries.
“Yeah, he’s dating Katai Tayama! He used to work at the agency?” Atsushi explains.
“Oh, I remember him!” Junichiro says.

Kunikida and Katai decide to eat at a sushi place a few blocks from their house. They order and begin eating.
“Mmm! This is really good!” Katai exclaims.
“Yes, it is. That’s why I brought you here!” Kunikida explains.
“Thank you for spending the day with me...” Katai mutters.
“No problem. It is my day off after all,” he smiles.
After they finish, they return home. They cuddle on the couch and watch more TV.
After watching TV for another 4 hours (Katai really likes TV), it’s time to get ready for bed. They complete their nightly routine of washing each other's hair and putting on pajamas. They both get into bed, Katai snuggled up in his futon.
“Thanks for today,” Katai mumbles.
“No problem...” Kunikida feels his boyfriend snuggle into him. They fall asleep.
The next morning, Kunikida wakes up to go to work. He dresses quietly and eats breakfast. He comes back into the bedroom and notices Katai is half-awake.
“Goodbye. I’m heading out,” Kunikida whispers, placing a kiss on his head.
“Mmk... bye...” Katai mumbles sleepily.
“WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL US?!” Yosano yells, the second Kunikida enters the office.
“Tell you what?!” He looks confused.
“That you had a boyfriend!” Dazai yells.
“Oh! Atsushi knew,” he says.
“Yeah, but you didn’t tell the rest of us!” Junichiro exclaims.
“But thanks for not telling them, I got 65 dollars!” Atsushi smiles greedily.
“Wait... why?” Kunikida looks confused again.
“Oh, we betted on where you were yesterday. I thought you got assassinated,” Kyouka explains calmly.
“Of course you did,” Kunikida sighs in exasperation.
From that day on, Kunikida spends every one of his days off with Katai.
