"Dani!" Mon clung to Oda's arm as they walked on the entrance of their university. "I'm glad we got a block section."

"Mhm, it's easier to get to know people when they're your classmates." Oda's attention switched when Ozeki and Risa came running towards them.

"Guess who woke up late again." Risa smacked Oze's arm.

"Hey! It was just 15 minutes."

"We rushed all the way here. What do you mean just 15 minutes?!" Risa glared at her.

Mon laughed at their antics. "You should change your sleeping habits now, Ozeki. It's harder to be late when you're in college."

"Let's head inside our first class." Oda pulled them all towards the higher floors.

The chatter inside the class silenced when their professor, who turned out to be their adviser, came in.

"Why don't we get ourselves started by introducing ourselves."

One by one everyone started to go in front, of course the 4 friends listened to everyone.

"Everyone seems nice, some are intimidating." Ozeki whispered. Both Risa and Mon agreed except for one.

Mon elbowed Oda beside her, "Hey, Dani."

"Hmm?" Her friend wasn't listening but got dreamy eyes as she looked at the girl speaking in the middle.

"I'm Kobayashi Yui from Saitama. I usually play the guitar or piano. Nice to meet you all." She shyly went back to her seat.

"Kobayashi..." Oda had her chin resting on her hand as she said her name. Mon didn't like what she felt. She kept quiet but Ozeki and Risa noticed it.

The first semester seemed long until they all had finished their finals. Fuuchan, one of their classmates, invited the whole section for a party before taking the semestral break. Everyone complied and went to her house which was big and her parents were coincidentally away.

The blaring music and spilled alcohol filled their air. Oda was having a conversation with Shiichan and Nijika at the corner while Suzumoto and Risa were having light beer on the couch. They were keeping an eye over Ozeki who was already dancing in the crowd.

"Do you think she'll stand on the table later?" Risa asked Mon.

"I'm not quite sure about that but it's not impossible to happen." Mon took a chip and popped it in her mouth.

Oda stumbled back to them, obviously looking quite intoxicated. She hugged Mon's body, almost lying down on her while her head was on Mon's neck as if trying to smell her.

"Dani, I think I need to get you home."

"No, no. I can handle myself and I still haven't seen Yuipon." That nickname irritated Mon when she heard it.

Mon mumbled under her breath, "Why do you always need to find her?"

Surprisingly, Kobayshi was already there, actually she came earlier than them. She was just upstairs with a couple of her friends. Her walking wasn't straight but Oda immediately stood up from her seat and pounced her way towards Pon.

"Yuipon! Hey-" Oda got cut off when Pon tripped and caught Oda's neck for support. "I think I need to get you home, Yui." Oda lifted her body up and guided towards the exit."

"Dani, where are you going?" Mon asked when she noticed Oda was leaving with Pon.

"It's okay. You stay here with Risa and look out for Ozeki. I'm just gonna help Pon go home. Seems like she can't do it herself. I'll make it up to you, I swear."

"But-" Mon didn't continue what she was supposed to say when she heard Risa screamed Ozeki's name because she was about to jump inside the pool. "Oh no." Mon rushed to help Risa.

Oda tried to help Pon steady her pace until they had reached her condominium. "Where are your keys, Kobayashi?" Pon reached out for the keys on her pocket but dropped it. Oda picked them up and turned the knob to her unit. It was hard to get her to her bedroom because Pon kept pulling Oda in various parts of the house until she had laid her on the bed.

"I guess, I better go now, Yuipon. I'll see you when-" Oda stopped when Yuipon stood upright and pulled her collar. The silence and uncontrolled actions of Oda and Pon led them into a tight kiss as Pon was pushed back on her bed with a body on top of her. Their steamy night ended both in naked bodies entangled with each other and soft sounds that were audible inside the room.

The next morning, Oda got a pang of headache. She lazily opened her eyes and noticed that she had no clothes on. The confusion led her to look at the person beside her, also had no clothes on.

"Yuipon..." She immediately got out of the bed and struggled to wear her pants.

Kobayashi yawned and also had a questionable expression on her face.

"Oda Nana..." She covered her body with a blanket.

"Uhm... hi." Oda awkwardly said as she was buttoning her pants. "I'm gonna leave... now." Oda rushed towards the door before even Pon could react.

Oda brisk walked all the way to her own apartment and washed her face in the bathroom sink. She saw her neck filled with hickeys and scratch marks. Unfortunately, Ozeki, Risa, and Mon were visiting her to check up on Oda.

"Dani!" Mon knocked but she still hasn't forgiven Oda about last night. Oda opened the door but only a peek. "Yes?" she tried to hide.

Out of comfort, Ozeki and Risa pushed the barrier wide open and headed for the living room.

"Say, Oda. Do you wanna go to-" Risa paused when she noticed Oda's neck. "Looks like you got a score last night."

"What?" Mon pulled Oda's shoulders to take a better look at her. She also saw that Oda was still wearing the clothes from last night's party. "Did you just had- you know what? I don't even wanna imagine it." She had a foul mood as she sat beside Ozeki on the couch.

"So how did it go?" Ozeki opened the television while scrolling through the channels.

Oda scratched the back of her neck, "Me and Pon kinda had... a great night."

Suzumoto snorted and something inside her was already ticking off. She can't take a fit inside here so she leaves the place, leaving Oda chasing her but ends up being swatted away. "What's with her?" Oda was left confused.

Days went by and Mon moved on by ignoring what happened. They were back in their university but the lessons were tougher now. Pon asked Oda to tutor her for an assignment which the fool agreed to. Mon felt like it wasn't a good idea but she has no rights to interfere with her best friend's business.

Oda and Pon went to Oda's apartment. They got inside the bedroom but Pon had other plans. While Oda set up her lamp and table, the moment her head turned, Pon was unbuttoning her uniform in front of her.

"Yuipon?" Oda got shocked and slowly backed away on the bed. "I thought we came here to study?"

When Pon's shirt was now off, a person barged inside without knowing. Mon was standing beside the door with a disbelieved expression. Oda's face went pale when she came. Out of rage, Suzumoto pulled Pon and gave her a hard slap on the face. Pon held her face but also slapped Mon out of confusion. This made Oda get in between the two to stop further damage.

"Both of you, stop it!"

Mon embarrassed herself and left Oda's place but Oda left her guest and chased her best friend not knowing that she was actually hiding next door, inside Ozeki and Risa's shared unit. "Miyu! Where did you go?!" Oda ran outside but the three can hear it inside. Mon kept crying because she was breaking from what she saw. Ozeki and Risa didn't say anything but they were both comforting their friend. Suzumoto's feelings were showing and how it hurts her knowing that Oda and Pon have a thing going on.

With hurting feet, Oda kept finding Mon for hours, she wasn't answering her calls. Pon already left Oda's apartment but that doesn't concern her. Oda wants to find her best friend. "Miyu, where did you go?" She searched the city and even their favorite spots together but no sign. It was midnight and Oda gave up, so she went to Mon's apartment in an attempt to see her. Until 12:30 am, Mon finally went home but saw Oda asleep beside her front door. At first, Mon ahd thoughts whether to leave her there freezing but her conscience still gave the way. She went inside to grab some blankets and laid them on top of her best friend.

Mon shut the door loudly to deliberately wake Oda. This caused the girl to open her sleepy eyes but her stubbornness kept on knocking loudly and shouting Mon's name. As much as The girl wanted to ignore that idiot friend of hers, she can't because the neighbors might wake up if Oda continues to be loud, knowing her personality.

"What." She flatly said while staring at Oda with her puffy eyes. "Go away, Dani."

"Miyu, let me in." Oda said to her softly which made Mon crumble inside.

Mon opened the door for her and no noise was between them both. An utter silence was only present in the living room. "Miyu, it wasn't like that."

Mon sighed and went to her bedroom. "Dani, just forget it. We still have class tomorrow. Goodnight." Mon went ahead and didn't care if Oda stayed or not. Shea heard Oda's footsteps go out of her property and leave.

The next day, Oda was expecting that things would go back to normal, she thought so. Suzumoto kept ignoring her even if they were just seated together. Ozeki and Risa tried to ease the tension between their group because it was making everyone uncomfortable.

"Hey, Miyu-" Oda called but Mon went to another classmate to talk with for their lesson. The treatment was always like that, a cold brush over Oda. It hurt her so much but she chose to endure it. Mon on the other hand was embarrassed. Suzumoto knew that she was hurting and that she reacted differently when Oda was with Pon. Now, she still has her pride up but a consequence of needing to ignore the important person in her life.

Oda and Mon started to drift away from their friendship. Oda spent more time inside the library to read the book or sleep while Suzumoto was more quiet than before. Ozeki started to get worried that the two best friends were losing their friendship.

Out of habit, Oda still made sure that Mon goes home safely by hiding behind the shadows. She wouldn't be still if she knew that Mon is not safe. Oda will do almost anything for her.

This kept running for two weeks of no interaction. Oda was running late from completing a professor's task. Ozeki, Risa, and Mon were walking in front of the building on the way home.

Ever since that incident, Mon didn't want to open her feelings even though Risa and Ozeki asked before. She was just not ready yet.

"Mon, why did you slap Pon's face during that time?" Ozeki said while licking a popsicle that she bought.

Mon clutched on her bag tightly, "It was the right thing to do at that time."

"But ever since, you always scowl at Pon whenever Oda and her are together. You walked out when you knew that Oda and Pon slept together." Risa smirked, it was her way of provoking and cracking her friend because it has been a long time and she still hasn't told the truth. "You're Oda's best friend."

Suzumoto shut her eyes. Best friend. That thought ran through her mind that cracked her heart.

"You two were inseparable since we were kids. You're still gonna ignore your best friend?" Ozeki cluelessly suggested.

This time, a switch went off inside Mon. She faced her two friends, "I DON'T WANT TO BE HER BEST FRIEND." I don't want to be just Dani's best friend, I love her. As if on the right timing, Oda was behind them. The horror in Mon's eyes as Oda froze in her position. Mon ran away, bumping Oda's shoulder but the girl just stood there in complete shock and heart broken.

Mon rushed to her apartment and kept crying inside her room. Oda didn't bother following her and went the other way, ignoring their two friends left behind.

"I'm sorry, Dani. I actually love you. You're just stupid to realize it." She felt frustrated. With what happened with today's events.

The following day, a stressed Oda came to school, ignoring everyone she encountered. Mon felt guilty, she badly wanted to approach her but it was too late. Oda was already ignoring Suzumoto herself. It ached Mon knowing what she had done became worse. The days reached 3 months of ignorance. Not a single day that Mon regrets what she did. Oda distanced herself already, always missing whenever she was needed.

It was until their subject paired the two up. It was the first time that they'll interact. Ozeki and Risa couldn't believe what they just saw. They switched their gazes to both of them, obviously making the two uncomfortable.

"Let's do this inside the library." Oda suggested to Mon. The first words that they were able to share again.

The two headed to their school library and started working on the task.

"No, silly. You forgot to alphabetize the references." The comment came out of Oda's mouth as she unwittingly laughed at Mon's mistake. Mon noticed the atmosphere between them started to become light, Oda was glad too.

"But your dumbass didn't even provide all of the authors we need." Mon retorted in order to see if Oda would go with her flow.

Both of them started to get easy with each other. Oda would walk her home again and Mon let her. For 4 days straight, their deadline came which saddened Miyu because she thinks that they would get back to the same treatment again. She decided to bake Oda some cookies after handing out their final paper.

She was shy and hiding the box she made. Oda was already fixing her things so she can go home. Suzumoto shut her eyes before saying Oda's nickname. "Dani."

"Hmm?" Oda looked up in question.

Suzumoto slid a box full of cookies on the table as a thank you gift and I'm sorry. Oda opened the box and took a bite of the thick cookies that she made. She smiled because Oda missed the taste of Mon's food. "I like it, Miyu." Ozeki and Risa saw the cookies and unashamedly took two of each and put it in their mouths. "Mon, this is awesome!" Ozeki said while chewing.

"Dani, can we talk?" Mon mustered up her courage.

Oda nodded. They left the premises and walked silently. On the way, a drunken homeless man came stomping on them. Mon automatically hid behind Oda. Not knowing what to do, the taller girl pushed the man to stumble on his feet and grabbed Mon's hand quickly and ran away as soon as possible. Mon can't help but notice their hands together while Oda's adrenaline occupied herself.

"We're safe now." Oda said as she wiped the sweat on her forehead when they were in front of Suzumoto's unit.

"Come in, Dani." She pulled her inside. "I'll cook something for you."

Oda followed but was still clueless about what they'll do. She observed Mon cook good smiling curry and rice. Oda helped her clean the utensils they'll be using. When the dish was now set on the table, Oda took a spoonful but before she was able to taste it, Mon was looking down while she said the next words.

"I'm sorry, Dani. I didn't mean that I don't wanna be your best friend anymore. I still do but..."

"But what, Miyu?" Oda anticipated.

"I just can't help but feel jealous. Something this feeling has been going for a long while ever since. I really hate it when-" Mon wasn't able to finish her sentence when Oda put down her spoon and took both of her hands.

"I missed you, Miyu. I didn't know that it was hard with you not around. I really want to be with you always. I knew I realized it when I saw you get hurt, I just wanted to protect you."

"Dani." Mon's eyes were glistening with tears.

"I love you, Miyu." Oda straightforwardly said it. "I know I did wrong but please let me make it up to you. I swear that my feelings are real. I realized that I love you when you ran away and I thought I lost you."

Mon's tears were now flowing freely. She wiped her cheeks before answering. "I love you too, Dani. I don't want to be just your best friend, that's why I said those words."

Oda was relieved about having mutual feelings. She took her spoon with curry and pointed it towards her girl which Mon accepted and ate it. They started eating their meal with things patched up and starting a new relationship.

The next day, they were both seen with intertwined fingers which Ozeki and Risa were shocked about.

"So you two made up?" Risa raised her eyebrow.

"Actually, we're together now." Oda pulled Mon closer. "No one's going away anytime."

Pon approached Oda. Mon glared at her but the other ignored it. "Oda, I'm sorry for what I did. I just had the courage to say it now. I'll keep my boundaries."

"That's okay, Yui. I forgive you."

Mon still didn't like Pon's presence even though she left. Oda kissed her cheeks which was unexpected and made Mon blush. "Come on, now. She won't be getting near anytime soon."

Mon pouted but hugged Oda's torso. "She better not."

"Yeesh, love birds." Another person behind the class said it was Shida and Fuuchan who were laughing at them.

Their dating continued with Ozeki and Risa tagging along. Mon would always hang inside Oda's unit and watch a movie in the living room. She would be carried in a bridal style when they enter her bedroom so they can sleep. Unfortunately, Ozeki and Risa were given access to her unit so they carelessly barged in and searched for food in Oda's shelves.

"Where's Oda?" Ozeki wondered with a piece of bread inside her mouth.

"I don't know, check the bedroom." Risa turned the knob and saw the couple cuddled in bed asleep. She took out her phone and took a photo of them before closing it back. "Shh, Ozeki. We're disturbing their time together. Just get some food and let's get out of here."

Ozeki took chocolates and chips from Oda's cabinet and locked her unit. They left both Oda and Suzumoto lying beside each other without knowing they raided her food storage.
