Chapter 13
Gina just finished clocking in when Shea appeared by her desk. "Morning Shea."
"Morning, Gina," Shea beamed. "Could you go wait for me in my office?"
"Okay," Gina agreed, thinking nothing of the request, and got up to go.
"What's going on, boss?" Gina heard CM questioned but didn't hear the reply as she got further away.
Upon entering Shea's office, she noted that the window blinds were down to give more privacy. As the door closed behind her, she felt a presence and turned around.
"Elliot," Gina gasped right before jumping at the shorter girl, kissing her.
Elliot kissed Gina back and pulled away after a few moments, grinning. "If that's the welcome I'm getting for leaving for a week, I should leave more often."
"Please don't," Gina huffed, holding onto Elliot. "Why didn't you tell me you were back?"
"Surprise, Gina," Elliot laughed, pecking Gina's cheek. "You have no idea how much I missed you."
Gina ran her hand through Elliot's hair. "You got drunk without me."
Elliot looked at her sadly. "I was trying to forget you but you're constantly there when you're not next to me. Gina, I really like you and I want more."
"How is this for an answer?" Gina giggled and kissed Elliot.
Gina felt Elliot smile into the kiss before Elliot rested her head against Gina's neck. "Goddess, you smell nice. Shame we aren't anywhere more private."
"Did you bribe Shea to get in here?" Gina questioned, guiding them to the chairs. "Also, you're very dressed up."
Elliot snuggled into Gina once Gina sat down and pulled at her to join. "Shea spotted me in the lobby arguing with the guards so she rescued me on the promise I send her a large tin box of homemade vegan cookies. Which reminds me, I made you lunch."
Gina scratched Elliot's head. "Thank you but why are you so dressed up? I can tell it's not for me. If it was, you'd dress differently."
"Wedding Season," Elliot sighed tiredly. "I'll be overseeing my staff at the wedding receptions at the restaurant for the next couple of days. Some of them are new to it so I'll be there communicating with the Bride and Groom and possibly some Karens and Chads."
"So no dates this week?" Gina pouted.
"Unfortunately, not," Elliot grumbled with disappointment. "But Reese's birthday is next weekend. Will you be there?"
Gina beamed. "I will, even if I have to bribe Shea."
Elliot grinned, hugging Gina. "Well it was really great to see you but I have to get going."
"So unfair," Gina sighed as Elliot stood up. "I wish you could stay."
Elliot handed Gina the lunch and smiled. "We'll see each other again soon."
Gina stood and took Elliot's hand. "I'm walking you out."
Elliot nodded and let Gina take the lead. Gina stopped by her desk, dropping off her lunch before taking Elliot to the elevator. She noted the smirk on Shea's face but said nothing, wanting to enjoy Elliot's presence. Not once did Gina let Elliot's hand go until they were near the entrance of the building.
"Bye, Gina," Elliot pouted.
Gina hugged Elliot. "I'll see you next weekend, Elliot. Tell Reese I miss her."
When Gina headed back up, she saw Shea waiting at her desk, eating her hidden cookies. She shook her head at Shea.
"Not a word, Shea," Gina warned. "And I need next weekend off for a birthday party."
"Of course," Shea nodded knowingly.
