"Yuju unnie, saranghae!!! Yeojachingu saranghae!!"
Buddies screamed their love out as if they were more than just a mere human that needs air to breath, smiling and shedding some tears while trying to burn the sight before them for lifelong memories.
What seems to escape their focused affection is that the idols too felt so much, idols too wanted to remember and embrace their love forever, idols too yearn interactions and memories with beloved fans, and such is no different for GFRIEND.
Shutting her eyes longer, yuju hummed softly, letting years-worth memories of being an idol and might as well her whole trainee life seeps in. Replaying those feelings, so intense, until it feels like being refreshed. From laughter to tears had she overcome with her loved ones especially her members. Slightly smiling, yuju rests comfortably on the couch, surrounded by overexcited members playing around in the living room on sowon-sinb-eunha's place for a day off.
'What a long way we had gone through...'
Yuju starts to wander alone in her world, perceptively another view of certain topics she has been thinking. She was often told that she was viewed as the epitome of a singing angel, or so her friends, family, and buddies said, but is it really true? Yuju ponders deeper, it is not enough, she needs to improve more, she needs to update her practice routine, she still has a long way to deem herself worthy. Not enough, not good enough, what if all the love and affection was only there for a moment?
What would happen if she slacks off? Will those feelings wither away? People would forgot her eventually though, ten years onwards, nobody knows.
Stopping, silence starts to engulf yuju as she unconciously sighs. It is scary, how artists are less viewed by quality and threading more towards quantity, how money developes faster towards primary needs, how uncertain destiny is. Oh how she wants the impossible, to stop time, let happiness lasts.
Feeling the area beside her sinking in, yuju patiently waits as she, somehow, knows who it is. Soft and warm hands snaking around her hand, clasping it so gently as if it would break, moving one thumb around drawing invisible circles. How cliché yet so endearing.
"Yuna unnie."
Yuju cant contain her smile as she opened her eyes and stare lovingly at umji, who wouldnt? When those clear and bright eyes focused at you and yourself only.
"Care to share your thoughts? I wont bite."
Thoroughly smiling, yuju moves her hand that was laced with umji's hand to hold on umji's waist, snuggling into umji's embrace. Relaxed enough, yuju hummed and tried to cuddle more but Umji cupped yuju's face and kissed her lips quickly before completely hugging her, letting yuju snuggle more into her neck while resting on umji's shoulder.
Yuju hums contently, it is true that none of us truly knows what the future holds or what destiny is but one thing yuju is certain, she will protect and love her loved ones endlessly. She will always find home in their embrace, and no matter what will happen they will face it together.
'I will support and love them unconditionally. I will improve myself so i wont let any of you down. I...'
Yuju tightens her embrace on umji, her anxiousness showing,
'I will be better so none of you would leave me...'
Hell, even now yuju starts to doubt her maknae's love for her.
Her train of thoughts stops abruptly as umji peppering kisses along her cheeks, nose, and temple. Leaning back, umji holds yuju a few space away.
"Tell me, why were you sighing?"
Yuju knows she cant escape from umji's questioning gaze so she goes with an alternative response knowing umji would just read her perfectly.
"Just because."
Yuju then whines at her futile attempt to snuggle but immediately fall silent with umji's lips pressed on hers, deep and lovingly, yuju reciprocates umji's action willingly. Feeling the younger one conveying her worry and assurance, yuju feels fuzzy-delightful-safe.
After a few moments, moving her legs to sit on umji's lap, yuju cuddles more into umji's embrace. Eyes flicker slowly as yuju listens to umji singing 'You are Not Alone' softly.
'Right, i am not alone... it wont be easy, it never was, but with you and members beside me, together with buddy, it will be alright.'
Sleepy, yuju close her eyes, "Yeah, just because".
