Story 3 - Reject Heroes
Set about 20 years in the future of current BNHA timeline, follows a class of hero-possibles as they attend the low-cost Hero Course UA.
UA has seen better days as the past issues that Midoriya and Classes 1-A and B have been through have kinda dragged name down. It's on the rise again, but there's other, bigger schools now so UA kids are kinda considered 'reject heroes'. There's only one hero class for each year, since attendance has fallen, and they tend to be about 20~ish in size.
That said, this years hero course seems to be full of important kids who have returned because of their parents trusting UA.
Most of the kids are children of current BNHA heroes, students and the like, though most of them aren't paired from the class (who meets their sig other in highschool? A few people, but most meet and marry people afterwards even if they date in HS). There are a few who are, though.
Kids:
Hero Name Rocket Blast: on touching something they can make it fly with explosive energy. Can also make themselves fly (think rocket boosts)
- Youngest child of Uraraka and Bakugo. Have an older sibling, Hero Name Gravitation (can draw anything within a specific radius towards themselves at a speed they choose (a little like Inko but with multiple things and can be very fast and weight is no issue, at least at this point in their training)) who is a well-known hero.
- Uraraka and Midoriya dated for a while after becoming heroes but when All Might died from old age/complications, Midoriya decided he needed to get away for a while to grieve. At that point their relationship was breaking up a bit anyway - they were better friends than lovers - so they parted amicably as he went to England to help build up a new hero training program and she found herself focussing on her hero work. After a close encounter with an overpowered villain, she and Bakugo reconnected and took them down, then decided to hang out a bit. After a while, love came calling and they ended up married with three kids - the oldest owns a restaurant, the second eldest is a hero and the youngest is going to UA.
Hero Name Ice Maiden: controls ice, can turn into ice crystals for stealth and has heat resistance.
- Only daughter of Todoroki and Hagakure.
- Firestream's cousin. They're pretty close and grew up more like siblings. She gets annoyed by their clinginess and protectiveness.
Hero Name Firestream: controls fire, has cold and heat resistance, hair bursts into flames when upset.
- Only child of Todoroki Natsu x OC
- Sees Ice Maiden as a sister but can get annoying by being clingy/protective of her despite her proven ability to take care of herself.
Hero Name Shock Amp: absorbs electrical currents and sends them out in an electrical shockwave from body. Can direct the electrical waves at a weaker amp using ear jacks.
- Oldest child of Kaminari and Jiro
- Once, during training, knocked out the electrical grid for three blocks and exploded the dojo they were in at the time.
Hero Name Hot Wings: can fly with wings of fire
- Child of Hawks x Fire-based OC
Hero Name Strike Back: on touch, can give any damage they've taken to someone else.
- Child of Kaminari x OC
Hero Name Wonderland: can cause hallucinogenic visions with their body odour
- Child of Midnight x OC
Hero Name Protector Detector: can detect negative emotions and thoughts directed to themselves or whoever they're currently looking at
- Child of Tsukauchi x OC
Hero Name Breakdown Zero: can break anything if they maintain contact with it for a set time, based on how big/heavy/hard it is.
- Adopted child of Ojiro x Tokoyami
Hero Name Time Switch: can turn back time in a localised area in 10 second increments up to 1 minute.
The plot would follow the cousins Todoroki as they deal with not only the bad name of their grandfather (despite their fathers trying to work past that history) but also a changing society where Quirk laws are being relaxed back to normal BNHA timeline (assuming that after manga current laws went into overdrive to really bang down on Villains and Quirk usage) and having to prove themselves after going to a school that is seen as subpar by society.
On top of that, a new smarter villain type has appeared - one that focuses not on physical and quirked power, but on control and laws, by aiming to stop the laws from going back to more slack. The mastermind is Quirkless and moves people to cause issues (mass hysteria in one case, villain attacks, etc) so as to make Quirks be used and seen as BAD so that those without Quirks can maintain their position (of which there's very few now, but hey, few at the top and all that jazz). On top of that, the Meta Human group is at it again, a new rendition who are trying to push for lessening the restrictions but in the wrong way.
