Model×photographer au

Keith walked into Altea studios, camera bag on his shoulder and coffee cup in hand. It was his first day as a photographer for the modeling company, and he wanted to make, for once in his life, a good impression.

“Keith! Hey!” Ryan greeted upon seeing the man. “Hey Ry.” Ryan glanced at his phone. “You’re early.” He shrugged, sitting at the desk next to him. “Wanted to make a good first impression.” Ryan nods. “So, you ready for your first day?” Keith shrugs, sipping his coffee. “Sure.” The doors open and close, and a trio of people walks in. “Ry! Where’s the new guy?” A girl yells. “You ready to meet the others?” Ryan asks, standing and stretching. “Do I have a choice?” Keith asked, rising. He left his drink behind as Ryan led him towards the front.

“There he is!” A girl said, hugging Ryan. She had dark purple hair and olive green eyes. She turned to Keith. “So you’re the new guy?” He nods, extending a hand. “I’m Keith.” She smiles, shaking it. “Pleasure to meet you. I’m Nadia, and this is Ina.” A blonde girl with pale blue eyes waved.

“Nadia, come get your shit! I’m not carrying it in again.” A male said as the door opened again. Olive skin and light purple eyes, with chocolate brown hair. “Oh, hey Keith. What are you doing here?” He asked. “Um, I work here.” Keith says. “Oh! You’re the new photographer! You would think that’d be something you'd mention.” Keith rolls his eyes. “And you would think you’d mention being a model. It’s good to see you too James.” “You know each other?” Ina asks. “He’s in my aerospace class at GU. And my roommate.”

The others gawked at them. “He what?” Nadia asks. “Keith, is, my, roommate.” James drawled out. “Why don’t you guys tell us anything? He literally never refers to you and has you saved in his phone as Firecracker.” Nadia tells Keith. “How would you even know that’s me?” “Because on the few occasions he mentions his roommate he calls you Firecracker.” Ina answers.

“Wait, is James the one you have saved as ‘Pretty boy’?” Ryan asked.

“Really? Pretty boy? I thought you’d finally stop calling me that. It’s been three years!” James whines. Keith chuckles. “Now that I know you model, I am never going to stop calling you Pretty boy, Pretty boy.” James frowned as Keith smiled at him.

Keith slotted his leg between James's, picking the camera up. "Alright, now tilt your head to the left and up a bit." He ordered. James did as he asked, and put his arms behind his head. Keith snapped a few photos. "Good. Now smile." "God Keith, you sound like a school photographer." Keith huffed and lowered the camera. "Well this would be a lot easier if you didn't keep grinning at the wrong times." James chuckled. "I'm sorry, but it's hard to take you seriously." Keith frowned. "James, please?" The other rolled his eyes. "Fine." "Now turn to the left and do that faraway look the idiot on that show does."

James obliged, and Keith snapped several pictures, leaning back when he was done. "I think that's it." James smiled up at him. "Keith Kogane, admitting that I look good? You sure someone didn't spike your coffee?" Keith rolled his eyes and stood, offering James a hand up, which he took.

"Alright, Griffin, sit on Keith's lap." Iverson ordered. "What?" Both asked. "The angle might work better that way. Chop chop, get to it." James rolled his eyes and went over to Keith, straddling his hips. "Alright, now try to act serious." Iverson said.

James gave Keith a blank face, raising an eyebrow a bit. "Come on Jamie, be serious. Or I'm not lending you my jacket next time you're cold." James glared at him, purple eyes going gray. "Good." Keith said with a grin, leaning back on the couch and snapping some pictures.

His back hit the cushions, and he took some more pictures.

"Damn Griffin, you getting laid at work?" A male voice asked. James snapped his head towards him, glare sharpening.

Keith got him as he turned, bangs swinging. It was a perfect picture.

"You can't get laid without this gig? Need your prissy work buddies to help you out?" James hopps over the back of the couch. "What do you want?" James snapped as Keith took some pictures of him as he walked away.

He had to admit, James had a fine ass.

"I wanted to see you." The man said, reaching to caressing his cheek. But James slapped his hand away. "Don't lie to me. You've done that enough. What do you really want? I'm not giving you any money, or sleeping with you." "But it was fun last time. Your noises said so." The man had three, four inches on James, and was a little wider.  "I was telling you to stop. I had to deck you to get you off of me." "And I didn't press charges! Wasn't that nice of me?" "And I didn't press charges on you. Attempted rape is worse than assault. If in court I can argue it was self defense." James said, crossing his arms.

"Baby, please, just come back to me." The man pleaded. "Over my dead body." James growled. The man's eyes narrowed, and he grabbed James's arm. "Look here you little bitch, you're coming with me. And that tight little ass of your is gonna be mine." James shoved him away. "Get out of here Rolo."

Keith stood and started walking over to them, a guard and Ryan following. James and Rolo exchanged more words, and James pushed him away. The Rolo got in his face and grabbed his collar, and James brought his heel down on his foot. He jumped back. "Son of a- YOU LITTLE BITCH!" He lunges for James, who decks him. Rolo snarls and grabs at him. Keith and the others ran forward, separating the two. Keith held James to his chest, and the guard restrained the man. "You little bitch! Need your guard dogs to take care of you?"

"When you've been harassing me for nine months, yes! I even had a restraining order on you!" James snaps.

"Sir, come with us." The guards said. "No, I wanna talk to my bitch!" Rolo yelled, lunging for James. Keith pulled him back, pulling him closer as Ryan stepped in front of him.

"Back off. It's been almost a year. Why can't you just fuck off?" "This the jackass you left me for?" Rolo asks, glancing at James. "I left you because I didn't appreciate being used as a punching bag!" He snapped.

The guards started dragging Rolo away, kicking and screaming curses at James. "I'M GONNA GET YOU YOU LITTLE BITCH!"

Keith hugged James, who clung to him tightly. "Don't let that man back here. Kogane, Kinkade, take Griffin home. We'll be talking to the police about this. And we might have to contact your parents."  He told James. He nodded, leaning into Keith. "Go change. I believe Kogane will be okay to accompany you?" Keith nodded. "Good. And take the rest of the week off, all three of you."

James and Keith head to the changing rooms, Keith holding his hand the whole way. James silently went in, and came out in his clothes from earlier. "Do you wanna ride the bike with me, or in the car with Ryan?" He asked softly. "You. I'd rather go with you." He nodded and took his hand again, leading him outside. He got his jacket from the coat check, and they stepped outside. Ryan was waiting for them, and walked with them to the parking garage.

James shivered in the cold, and Keith took his jacket off, wrapping it around his shoulders. "Thought you said you wouldn't lend this to me anymore." He said, putting his arms in the sleeves. "That was a lie and you know it." James smiles, putting his hands in the pockets. They reached the garage, and Ryan hugged them goodbye. "Be careful. And try hot cocoa. It soothes him." Ryan told Keith, who nodded.

On the ride, James was silent except for his occasional shivers from the cold, which he resolved by nuzzling into Keith's neck.

When they got home, James flopped onto the couch. "Hey James, you want some cocoa?" He asked. James nodded, flipping on the TV.
