"Hey Kagayaku! We're gonna be going to the cafeteria to eat! Come with!" A group of boys came up to the ginger-haired boy laying his head on his desk, a big guitar case next to the desk. The boy looked up at the group of boys, groaning loudly. He got up and grabbed his guitar case, slinging it over his shoulder.

"Nahh, I'm heading to the rooftop to practice for my band. We'll eat together sometime later."  The ginger-haired boy smiled at them, the boys all awed in sync to the boys cuteness.

"Alright! We'll see you later! Bye Kagayaku!!!" They all ran off to the cafeteria, squealing over how cute the ginger-haired boy was. The boy sighed, walking out of the classroom and to the opposite direction.

As the boy walked through the hallways, all the students stared at him in admiration. The navy blazer draped effortlessly on his body, looking neat and well ironed for the day. Beneath the structured fabric, he wore a white collared shirt with an oversized white hoodie overlapping it. His grey plaid pants shifted with each small movement he made. A single strap of his black guitar case laid against his shoulder, hanging loosely, almost as if it were to fall off and break the guitar inside. His orange colored hair made him stand out in the crowded hallway, and his brown eyes capturing the sunlight hitting the ground, absorbing it like a black hole.

Students whispered, gushing over how cute and adorable he looked today. Some students stole second glances, as if trying to confirm they weren’t imagining things. Most students were blushing intensely, squealing over his appearance and very existence. His piercings—a double eyebrow ring, canine bite piercings beneath his lip, and one earring in his right ear— along with a mole under his right eye, only made them fawn over him more. He skipped past the students and up the stairways toward the rooftop.

He finally reached the rooftop and opened the door, greeted with the chilly breeze. His hair fell into his face, a few small strands slipping past his lips. He quickly tucked them behind his ear. He moved the pieces of hair in his face, his eyes widened at the sight of a brown-haired boy, leaning on the fence observing the birds and people down below. The brown-haired boy sighed, as his soft silky hair blew with his uniform, in sync with the warm breeze. The ginger-haired boy took a few steps forward, in awe of the sight of the boy in front him. He felt like he had been struck by an arrow, falling in love at first sight. A swarm of butterflies fluttered in his chest. He felt like throwing up, but in a good way. He just couldn't believe that someone had caught his attention, and made him feel like this..! "No way... someone could be this perfect, yet so calm and serene," thought the ginger-haired boy. Suddenly, the brown-haired boy looked back to see the other boy standing there, frozen, eyes wide open.

"What're you doing here...?"

The ginger-haired boy froze, processing what the boy leaning on the fence had just said to him..."'What're you doing here...?' Even his voice was gentle and soothing, all of my problems can just go in a blink gone hearing that voice...," thought the boy. He quickly snapped out of his thoughts and into the now. He stared at the boy in front of him, the brown-haired boy staring at him confused and...almost scared..? As if he would do anything to the stranger...

"Huhh..? Oh, you're talking about me!" He pointed at himself and laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head. He started to slowly walk up towards the boy leaning on the fence, holding his guitar case on his side, "Just ignore me, I'm just here to practice."

"P..Practice? You mean...that you play that instrument?" The other boy asked, he tilted his head to one side, while his hair softly blew with the breeze. His eyes shimmered, they were calm, soft, and captivating, just like his own voice.

"Yup! I have been for a bit, but not too long." The ginger-haired boy sat down on the bench next to the fence the brown-haired boy was leaning against. He unzipped his guitar case and took out his electric guitar. His guitar was red, and had multiple stickers of bands on it. Some sharpie and acrylic marker was drawn on the hard surface of the base of the guitar too. He lightly strummed the guitar strings, playing a steady song that had been stuck in his head for a while. Even though the guitar wasn't plugged into anything, you could still recognize the song. The brown-haired boy, captured by the boys talent, hummed softly to the music the boy was strumming.

"That song..it's Slide by Plastic Tree, right?" He asked out of curiosity, his eyes focusing on the guitar instead of the other boy's eyes. Kagayaku's eyes brightened up at the mentioned of the band.

"Oh! You know them? Their music is so good! I love listening to them! What're your favorite songs by them??" The boy stopped playing the guitar, hugged it as he looked up at the boy.

"Their music can be..well..interesting. I guess I like Sink?" He scratched his neck, you could tell that he wasn't too fond of the band itself.

"That song is a bit more relaxed, I'm guessing you don't like loud or fast-paced songs?"

"Yeah, loud noises are obnoxious." The boy shifted his position on the fence, properly leaning on it. One of his arms was propped up, and he had his head resting on the palm of his hand. His soft gentle eyes continued to stay on the guitar.

"Obnoxious? Really? I personally think they hype me up! I don't know if it's because I'm personally talkative and loud myself or because it's just my opinion! But it's fine, I get that you don't like them! They can be quite damaging to your eyes and can I guess make you a bit sha..." The boy talked on and on, the other boy just stood there and listened to the loud boy babble on. He just stood there, his eyes still focused on the guitar.

"You talk a lot, don't you...?" Asked the brown-haired boy, finally looking at the boy.

"Oh yeah! Sorry, does it bother you in some way? Sometimes I get carried away and start talking a lot, I just have a lot to share and so much on my mind that I have to share! You get that, yeah??"

"Well..I guess in some way I do." The brown-haired boy sighed, "It does bother me, how you talk a lot. But it doesn't bother me enough to where it's annoying me.."

"Oh thank goodness...that's good. I was worried I had made a bad first impression!" Kagayaku dramatically sighed, placing a hand on his forehead, " Oh! By the way, what's your name? i never got it!"

"My name? Oh, it's Taikurai Kodanau..."  Taikurai responded in a soft and stoic tone, directing his head toward the sky again.

"Nice! What's it mean?"

"Enduring Darkness. My parents lived a bit of a dark childhood, so my dad named me that."

"Well, it's a bit fitting I guess? Well, my name is Akarui Kagayaku!" Akarui smiled brightly towards Taikurai.

"Hm. Your name means Radiantly Glowing, correct?"

"Hm? Oh yeah! It does!" Akarui put his guitar back into his guitar case and sat back down, to where he was hugging his legs.

"Hah..it's incredibly fitting for you. It's also quite beautiful too." Admitted Taikurai, he looked back at Akarui with a small smile on his face. Akarui's eyes widened slightly at the sight, his cheeks turned into a slight pink because of Taikurai's compliment. He looked away from him with an awkward smile, twisting his hair around his finger.

"M..my mom puts in a lot of effort into naming my siblings...Like my younger sister is very happy, so we named her Hinata Kagayaku. Which means The Radiance of a Sunny Place!"

"Hinata was named by nicely then...Your parents must be very considerate of you and your siblings."

"Ahh..yeah..you can say that..." Akarui scratched his neck, unsure of Taikurai's assumption, "Well..do you have any siblings at home?"

Taikurai shook his head, "No, I'm an only child..."

"Ahhh geez, you're really lucky then! My sister can be so annoying and noisy all the time!" Akarui groaned, crossing his arms.

"I suppose... I can imagine how annoying they can be..." Taikurai gave a slight smile to Akarui, enjoying his company.

"Yeah! And get this—"

"Uhm...Kagayaku?"
