Chocolate
...
When people first see this couple they don't seem to think that they would work.
For one the two demons were opposites of each other. The high ranking, near emotionless Upper Moon One and the demon girl with the Biwa who seemed to always be keeping watch over everyone. Sure both tended to be quiet but no one seemed to really get how they ended up in a relationship. It was almost understandable that someone would want to have Kokushibo as a lover; He was powerful, wealthy and in goof standing with Muzan.
So how would Nakime benefit Kokushibo? Was she actually hiding something? Was it blackmail of some kind?
On top of all that, they never seemed to have the time for each other and when everyone saw them together it was usually when being addressed by Muzan.
Perhaps that was why when Douma saw the two walking through the village on a quiet winter evening he decided to drag his best friend in the entire world along with him. Although Akaza did not seem very pleased with this arrangement as he was cursing under his breath while trying to yank himself free of the idiot's grip.
"Douma I swear by that man's wrath, if you do not let me resume my hunt I am going to rip a chunk right out of you-"
"Shhhhhh! You'll get their attention, Akaza-dono!" Douma hissed softly.
Akaza's eye twitched as he opened his mouth with his fangs out, ready to bite down into his neck and make a bloody mess. However he stops when he actually spots who Douma was talking about.
It was weird seeing Upper Moon One with only one pair of eyes. He was quietly walking beside the Biwa girl as the others had taken to calling her, wearing a black kimono with crescent moons on the sleeves going down. Thankfully with this crowd of humans around, he was unable to hear or sense the two. He turned to look at his companion, his long hair swaying and he appeared to be whispering to her.
"...You dragged me away from my hunting grounds for this?"
"Oh come now Akaza-dono, you can't tell me you haven't been at least curious?" Douma grinned at him, not even noticing how the veins continued to increase on the other's forehead, "Come come if we hurry we can find a good place to watch them from!"
"Douma you-" Akaza had no time to speak, or attack as he was now being yanked through a crowd of humans-oh they smelled so good, why did Douma have to be such a moron?!-and after the pair.
...
"Nakime..."
The young demon woman hummed as she had her face turned to look into a stall of vendors. There was already a small satchel in her hand full of ingredients he had seen her buy on this lovely night.
"What...are you making...tonight?" He tilted his head at her when she picks up a small container of milk.
It made no sense to cook since they were demons. They could throw something fancy together with human flesh of course, but to actually cook something? It was so bizarre to him now after so many years of only eating raw flesh. It made him curious about why she was going to all this trouble to actually make something for him.
"I'm making chocolate," she replied gently, before she puts the milk in her pocket after paying the vendor and moved closer to him, "It's a special blend I make for our Master when he needs to pass as a human child in one of his forms. Though personally I just enjoy making it for those I care about...so I wanted to make you some..."
Kokushibo blinked down at her softly. For a moment she fidgets thinking she had said something wrong to him..then suddenly his hand slips into hers. Her face turns a dark shade of red when their fingers intertwine. However she doesn't complain as she leans on his shoulder with her long dark hair swaying.
"Ah! What an adorable couple you two make!" another vendor calls out, "Perhaps your dear lady would be interested in some warm sake on this cold night? Or perhaps to celebrate the new year in a few days!"
Both stopped and looked at the vendor before Kokushibo looks at her. For a moment she thinks he has a little smile on his face but when she did look she found his usual stoic look. She shook her head at the vendor before pulling him along further.
"I believe that is everything I need. Besides I feel that we are being watched," some of her hair blows back a bit revealing her on large eye as she turned her face to look at an abandoned house.
He rumbled softly as he looked up in the same direction. For a moment his two other pairs of eyes appeared and narrowed at the place as her squeezed her hand.
It was almost ridiculous how painfully aware he was of what the other moons thought of their relationship. Even though it was no one's business but theirs, they seemed to delight in spreading rumors about his lover behind his back and too be perfectly frank he was rather tired of it. Tired of the speculations, tired of the rumors, and most of all tired of others sticking their nose in their personal time.
"...Let's go. Before I...may have to kill...everyone in this village," he hissed.
He noticed the way she smiled a little at him saying that. She tucked some hair behind her ear, enough to show her beautifully pale neck as the softly falling snow is on her hair. The lanterns hanging above them seemed to give off a soft glow that created an intriguing aura around her. Kokushibo felt his face grow warm before her free hand slipped into the pocket of her black kimono and strummed at a little string she kept there. They entered an opened pair of doors into the infinity fortress.
...
"...You dragged me from my hunting grounds by force to watch them do nothing but talk and hold hands."
"i know! I was hoping they'd be doing more the damned prudes!"
Akaza's eye twitched as he slowly looked at Douma who was pouting as he opened his fan. When Upper Moon Two looked at the other he tilted his head almost innocently at him, "What is it Akaza-Dono?"
"...I aM GOING TO KILL YOU YOU SON OF A-!"
"Oh my Akaza-dono! You must be hungry! Have you eaten anything today? You're not yourself when you don't eat."
CRUNCH!
...
Kokushibo was rather...fascinated by the idea of trying chocolates. When he was human, they had not yet been discovered in the era he was born in and so knowing his lover was making them for a demon to eat made him excited.
He hasn't felt something like this for a very very long time. In fact he can't quite remember the last time he had felt like this only that he knew this feeling.
The scent of it begins to fill the room of his personal quarters as he waits at the table quietly. If there was one thing, though he had many things that he enjoyed about Nakime, it was her being meticulous. She made sure things came out correctly be it her music, her blood demon art or like now her cooking,
He isn't quite sure how much time has gone by since she had gone into the kitchen but when she finally came out she held a lovely plate in her hands and had changed her usual black kimono to a simple dark grey one with a light red obi. One the plate were chocolates, carefully crafted with an imprint of a red spider lily on it. She quietly knelt down beside him and picked up a chocolate between her finger tips.
"Kokushibo-dono, may I please feed you the first one?" she asked very gently as she moved a little closer to him.
His six eyes look at her before he gave a nod, "You may. If I do not like them, then at least I get to enjoy the fact you fed me one with such talented fingers..." he reached up to gently hold her hand, rubbing her knuckles, "...Thank you for making these. I have never gotten to try any of the new foods introduced in the eras that have passed."
A slight smile formed on her face at the compliment before she picked one at the top right in the middle before she held it to his open mouth. When it went between his teeth and they scraped her finger, she pulled her hand back and watched his reaction as her chewed the sweet. For a moment he looked pensive as he ate it, chewing it slowly...then came a soft light to his eyes that made them almost glow like a gentle moonbeam that glows through the door and shine on a mirror.
Then when he swallowed it, the slowest smile formed on his face. However this own showed his sharp fangs that sent a shiver down his back as he reached up to gently caress her cheek.
"Was...it good, Kokushibo-dono?" she asked as she leaned into said hand.
He leaned up slowly, all eyes on her as he gently slipped his hand into hers, "Hmm..." he gently pulled her closer as he slipped his other arm around her waist.
"Delicious~"
