Ren's power is fading fast. He holds Martyn close to his chest, kisses his burned face, but it’s not enough. Ren needs to be closer. Needs something tangible to hold onto.

His gaze falls on Martyn’s broken arm, lying motionless on the grass. The bone sticks out, white on red. There’s no way it’ll heal up properly. Martyn won’t be able to use it-

…Yeah, that will do. 

Reluctantly, Ren loosens his embrace and takes Martyn’s hand in his. It smells like burned meat, it should be disgusting, but as he clenches his fangs on the bone, his mouth waters.
