"Well, I think something a bit stronger would be helpful," Jean claimed. Lisa raised an eyebrow.

"It's not healthy to pull so many all-nighters, dear."

"Please? Just one." Jean pouted. Recently, commissions had been piling up day by day. Lisa sighed, giving into Jean's begs.

"Alright, dear. I'll mix something up for you just this once." The witch said sternly. Jean grinned sweetly.

"Thank you, Lisa."

Later that night, Lisa sat in the alchemy room of the library. The glimmer of the night sky shined on the many bottles and vials lining the shelves. Lisa sat at her desk. Books and bottles were scattered on the desk as Lisa mixed two vials. A puff of smoke emerged from the brew. Lisa drank the portion, not expecting much but a short energy boost. The witch almost coughed out the potion, surprised at the strikingly bitter taste. "Oh, that's no good..." she sighed. Not even the bitterest, strongest coffees could compare. Lisa flipped through a book, scanning the pages for a different recipe. As she skimmed through the book, she could feel her hat shift as if somebody were pulling on it from behind. She also felt a strange itch on the top of her head. Trying to adjust the hat, she felt something similar to that of pressing one's ear. That's... strange. Had the potion done something else? She removed her hat and brought her hand to the top of her head. Before she could even touch her hair, she felt something fluffy. "Oh, dear."

"Oh, hello, Lisa." Jean greeted the witch. Lisa smiled awkwardly, closing the door behind her.

"Hello, love. Could I trouble you for a moment?" She asked and chuckled nervously. Jean looked in confusion.

"What is it?"

"You remember requesting a stronger alternative to coffee, right?" Jean nodded. "Well, I may have gotten... very different results." She took off her witch hat, revealing a pair of golden-brown cat ears. Jean's eyes widened at the sight.

"A-are those?" Lisa nodded shyly. Jean stood up, making her way to Lisa. "Do they hurt at all? How did this happen?" Jean threw multiple questions at Lisa as she usually did when she was worried. The knight brought her hand to Lisa's head before stopping herself. "O-oh, I didn't mean to-" she stuttered. Lisa giggled.

"You can, dear." Jean beamed. She began to fondle the cat ears with the same gentleness Lisa knew every morning waking up with Jean. Lisa couldn't quite pin down the feeling, but it was certainly satisfying. Without realizing it, she leaned into Jean's hands, indulging in the pleasant feeling of being petted. Jean laughed softly. "Hm?" Lisa hummed curiously, looking at Jean.

"You're purring, Lisa," she chuckled. Lisa blushed furiously. Was she really purring, or was Jean messing with her? Jean laughed, bringing the witch into her arms. "You're just like a cat, even without the ears." The two laughed, holding each other close. Jean placed a kiss on Lisa's cheek as they both giggled joyfully. It wasn't often that they could share moments like this. They lingered in each other's arms a bit longer, the scent of dandelion and rose dancing around the couple. "Do you think it'll wear off?" The knight asked.

"Hopefully. I think a good night's sleep will help us both, no?" Lisa smiled, booping Jean's nose playfully. Jean chuckled, placing Lisa's hat in its place.

"Am I allowed to say no?" The knight asked jokingly.

"Nope!" Lisa grinned, turning to the door. "Shall we?" Jean giggled, following her into the hall.

"Sure, kitty," Jean replied playfully.

"Kitty? I don't think I'll get used to that." She giggled. Maybe something good did come out of this little mishap.
