Summary
Her hand.... she always made sure to have a tight grip on it, she didn't want to get lost. It's happened before, all it takes is a few seconds and it seems like her entire surroundings change and she can never find the familiar face anywhere in sight. It wasn't her fault though, not when she could make herself change at any time. All it took was a little blood and she was a completely different person... but at the same time she wasn't, she was still her friend, and the one person who meant the most to her in the world. So why did she have to leave her?And why did she have to leave her with them?

Her Chance

She sat expectantly, patiently waiting for Toga to come through to get her. She woke back up over half an hour ago, but normally Toga wakes her up before her body naturally gets up, so that means it's later than usual. She really really hoped that nothing bad happened and that everything was okay.

After an amount of time that she wasn't able to count anyway, the door opened and Toga welcomed her, but not with her usual grin. She was grinning, but her eyes weren't sparkling in their usual dangerous way. She wondered if she did something wrong.

"Sweetie what's with the long face, come on, don't you want to know what we're doing today?" She asked and tilted her head. Without that certain look, she was unsure of what the villain was thinking, but she was still her Toga and she would still follow her anywhere.

"Yes please!" That got the familiar giggle from Toga making her grin proudly.

"Let's go." She said while offering her hand, and she didn't waste a second to grab it. Once their hands were interlocked, Toga lead them back to the common room.

———————

She kept herself wrapped tightly around Toga as she maneuvered herself through the building. It was late and after being brought inside by Kurogiri, Toga happened to find herself outside of the personal dorms/bedrooms.

She just buried her face into Toga's shoulder, not wanting to watch anything that would happen, she could remember what she was told earlier. If she gets lost they won't look for her, she isn't one of them and they will gladly leave her if they need to. She looked at Toga who didn't say anything against it, but she could still feel how her grip slightly tightened and when she grinned back down at her, she felt better, Toga wouldn't let it happen. That's why as soon as the mission started, Toga demanded that she hold onto her completely instead of just holding her hand, she didn't want to take any risks, (even though this entire mission was one.)

She knew that Toga was tense, and that wasn't good, she wasn't acting like her usual wild and insatiable self, and she didn't like it. She didn't even know what this mission was about, were the others also in the dorms? She saw them go through Kurogiri's portal too so they must be. So why don't they all meet up and do whatever was necessary?

She can hear Toga mumbling to herself but she doesn't listen, she mumbles a lot, especially when she knows something but doesn't want to tell, and since she respects her privacy, she doesn't even bother listening.

Everything seemed to be going fine until Toga's earpiece made a beep and she held onto her tighter. "Himi?" She asked quietly and the villain smiled like earlier, without her spark, and completely out of character.

That's when a series of alarms went off and it took a few seconds for the students to file out of their dorms. Toga didn't give her a chance to react, instead, she just ducked her head down into her neck and then took off running. She could tell the adrenaline was giving Toga some kind of familiar excitement if her spontaneous giggles were anything to go by, and that made her happy so she just stayed in her spot and just waited to see what would happen.

~Toga was pretty slippery, which wasn't a normal talent she had, she was never this careful or smooth, but when she had something to protect, she wasn't just going to let it go, despite what the rest of the League might think. The girl in her arms was the only person who looked up to her in such a way that always made her feel complete. She was okay with letting Toga do whatever long as she could stay by her side. Toga even had her watch as she tortured and killed someone, but all the girl cared about was the grin that was on Toga's face while she did it. This girl meant so much to her and she wasn't going to let go, this was her only chance to prove that she wasn't going anywhere.~
