make ups and make outs
Meredith 9:07 pm
Addison is here! Get Charlie home now, so we can do this.
Alex 9:11 pm
Are you sure about this?
Meredith 9:12 pm
Yes! Cristina is on her way over, just bring Charlie back! Now!
Alex 9:13 pm
Just finishing up. Be there soon.
As soon as they get through the door, Cristina shoves her into a closet. She stumbles and trips over a broom but someone reaches out their arms and catches her. She looks up, Addison's green eyes lock with hers.
Shit.
"This is an intervention." Meredith shouts through the door.
"You too are going to sit in this closet and talk, because we are sick of this shit and you two need to work it out." Cristina adds.
"Meredith! Mer, I swear to god, let me out." She shouts, slapping the door and jiggling the handle.
"Is it really that bad to be stuck in a room with me?" Addison laughs leaning against the opposite wall. The closet is small, they barely have a few feet between them.
Well, fuck it. Here goes holding her ground.
"It's not that." She mumbles, leaning her head against the door. "I just...I hadn't thought about what I was going to say. I was going to wait until I made a speech then I was going to talk to you."
"Have you thought of anything?"
Charlie shakes her head. Addison takes a step closer. Charlie turns her head to face Addison.
Addison gently rests on her hand on Charlie's arm. "Just tell me what's in your head." She smiles.
"I pulled away from you because I knew that I couldn't keep just being fuck buddies," She starts. Charlie turns to face her, leaning against the door, she thumps her head back against the wood. "Somewhere in those three months of hook-ups, I guess I developed feelings for you. I didn't know what to do so I just bottled it up and ran. I was fine with it, until I found you and Alex."
"I didn't- "
"You didn't sleep with him, I know. He told me." Addison nods her head and smiles, she's glad that was cleared up. "I'm sorry, for what I said that day."
"I'm sorry as well, I shouldn't have kissed him. I know there shouldn't be an excuse for what I did but I just...I had all this pent up frustration because suddenly, you weren't...there and I didn't know what to do. Then Alex was there and shouting at me and I just...I caved." Addison shrugs and lets out a sigh.
"I guess we're not very good at communicating are we?" Charlie laughs and takes Addison's hand in her own. "Maybe we should work on that."
"I agree, we definitely should." Addison gathers up the courage and stands closer to Charlie. They were inches from each other, it wouldn't take much to-
"Can I kiss you?" Charlie asks her.
"Please." Addison replies.
The kiss is hungry. Both of them are pulling and wanting more. Charlie's hands grip Addison's hips, pulling her close. Addison's hands run Charlie's body and tangle in the intern's hair.
A knock sounds on the closet door. "Are you guys okay? Have you killed each other?" The door opens a crack and Cristina looks through the gap. "Nope, they're fucking. Oh god, my eyes!" Cristina says slamming the door closed.
"Fuck off, Yang!" Charlie laughs, pulling away from a laughing Addison. She takes a moment and goes in for another kiss.

"Are you free tomorrow night?" Charlie asks, leaning up against the nurses station as Addison is finishing up on a chat for a patient.
"All depends on the surgery board tomorrow, but I should be. Why?" She asks her, with a suspicious tone.
"I want to take you on a date." Charlie says finishing the sentence with a grin. Addison smiles at the young intern, a warm feeling fills her stomach. God, this girl was amazing.
"Okay then, I will make myself available." She replies, scribbling something down on the paper.
"Awesome. Maybe, bring another pair of shoes." Charlie replies before practically skipping off.
Addison watches as she leaves, feeling giddy with happiness.
"How's your girlfriend?" Alex teases Charlie at lunch.
"She's not my girlfriend, not yet at least. I'm taking her on a picnic date tomorrow night and I'm asking her then." Charlie smiles and eats her forkful of pasta.
"50 bucks says Addison cries." Cristina bets. Meredith agrees and shakes her hand.

Charlie plans their date meticulously. Everything down to the very last detail is all planned out. She prepares all the food the night before, with Alex's help, and repays him with cooking extra so he can have leftovers.
Charlie stands at the vending machines, rolling the dollar in between her fingers. Addison's heels click rhythmically on the floor, Charlie is completely oblivious, her mind on only thing; food.
"I get off in about an hour, is that okay?" Addison asks Charlie as she stands by the vending machines, choosing what snacks to eat. She inserts a dollar and punches some buttons but the machine does nothing.
"Ah, man. It ate my dollar." She groans, thumping the machine and adding a kick.
"Okay, let's stop that before you break it." Addison pulls Charlie away from the machine and gets her full attention. "I said, I get off in an hour is, that okay, with you?"
"Oh, yeah. That's fine. I'll meet you out front, we gotta drive to Meredith's first to pick some stuff up." She smiles. The M&Ms finally drop and Charlie whispers a 'yes' under her breath. Addison gazes at her adoringly.
Addison waits for Charlie in the lobby, she huffs with boredom and watches the people who come and go from the hospital. Her gaze falls to a young couple and their child. The father lifts the child up into his arms and kisses his cheek. Addison smiles, her smile grows wider when Charlie appears in her eye line.
"Hey." Charlie smiles, gripping the strap of her messenger bag. "You good?" She asks the redhead, offering her hand for her to take.
Addison nods her head and intertwines her fingers with Charlie's.
They reach Charlie's car and Addison is in disbelief. "I am not riding in that death trap." She says referencing the vivid orange pickup truck in front of her.
"Oh come on. She's a beauty!" Charlie untangles her fingers and walks over to the truck. She circles it; inspecting every bump, scratch and dent. Even kicking the tires a couple of times; all to demonstrate its sturdiness. "I got her for my 17th birthday and I drove it here, all the way from Boston. She's practically a tank." Charlie says, slapping the hood of the orange truck. She opens the door for her and Addison rolls her eyes and clambers inside the truck.
They stop off at Meredith's house to get the food Charlie pre-prepared and then they were off. She drives to the outskirts of town, to the woods and the hills. Finally Charlie turns off the main road and down a dirt track, Addison is not entirely sure what Charlie is dragging her into.
It's sunset when they stop. Charlie smiles and bounds out the truck, going around to open Addison's door for her. "Come on." Charlie says, holding out her hand.
"Where are you taking me?" Addison asks still in the truck, sceptical about leaving the safety of the vehicle. Charlie points off to a small dirt track and Addison raises her eyebrows.
"You seriously believe that I'm going down that dirt path in my Louboutin's. Charlie, you may not have any respect for labels, but I do." Addison crosses her arms and glares at the interns in front of her.
"Well I did tell you to come prepared. I guess I'm going to have to carry you." Charlie gives her no warning and reaches into the truck cabin and scoops her over her shoulder.
"Charlotte!" She screams. "Put me down! Charlie, I'm serious!" She shouts, thumping the interns back. She effortlessly carries Addison over one shoulder and picks up the picnic basket, ready for their date. Addison gives up trying to escape when she realises that Charlie's hand has a moved from her thighs to her ass. "Your hand is on my ass."
"I've seen you naked, Addie. I think I'm allowed to touch your ass." She smirks.
Finally they reach their destination. Charlie stops, setting down the basket, then carefully using both hands to set down the redhead. She wobbles slightly but Charlie has a firm grip on her hips.
"You good?" Addison nods and turns around. A picnic blanket lay on the grass, a bottle of champagne sits in a bucket of ice and a collection of candles are spread out on the material. The view is spectacular, the city is visible but not disruptive of the trees and Mount Rainier out in the distance.
"Charlie." She gasps, her hand coming up to her mouth in shock.
"Do you know how much I had to pay Alex to set this up for me? Then had to give Cristina 50 dollars to make sure he didn't eat any of the food, then I had to give Meredith 50 to make sure that it actually got set up." She laughs and settles down on the blanket and takes out various foods. Once the initial shock wears off, Addison settles down on the blanket next to Charlie.
"I bought you up here because I wanted to ask you a question. I know that this is technically only our first date and honestly these past 4 months have been crazy, but there's always been a constant; you. So, be with me? For real. No friends with benefits or kind of dating, I want you and I want everything that comes with you." Charlie asks, taking Addison's hand. "Please."
"Yes." Addison smiles, tears filling her eyes, and cradles Charlie's face in her hands. The food soon forgotten, as Addison suddenly craved something, or rather someone, else.
