Vita Nova - New Beginning
PROLOGUE
Hanagaki Takemichi was cursed.
Cursed to never find real happiness.
Even after all those times, after all he’s been through, he could never be happy, not for long at least. When he thought he finally reached his happy end, it was taken away from him.
Why did that person take away his happiness? Why couldn’t they just let him be? Hasn’t he been a good person? What did he do that made him deserving of such a fate?

“Look at this! Such a big and bright smile on the groom’s face! Or is it the bride, since you know?” said a voice teasingly.
“Chifuyu! That’s not funny!” another voice answered.
“Sorry but to me it is” Chifuyu replied with a grin “So, today is your big day, huh, partner? How do you feel?” he continued with a softer voice.
“Nervous, anxious, happy…I feel like a mess to be honest,” Takemichi admitted. He looked kinda pale but at the same time his eyes have never shined brighter. And why wouldn’t they? Today he was getting married! After he and Mikey came back in time together, they worked hard to ensure everyone would be happy (including Kisaki).
And today, today he was marrying the love of his life. It’s quite strange though. If you asked him in the past who he thought he would marry, he would have answered Hina without a second thought. But…but things didn’t always work the way we thought it would. Yes, he did make that promise with Hina, but it was a long time ago. And along the journey in this new timeline, he fell in love with another. Someone who was always there for him, no matter what. Someone who in one of the past timeline died for him. Someone who was always there for him.
“Ready to go, Takemitchy?”
“Yes!”

Takemichi didn’t know where things went wrong. It was supposed to be the end, where everyone finally gets their happy ending. Mikey-kun and he worked so hard! They did everything to ensure that everyone, that every single one of them was happy!
So why? Why was it that, on the day where he finally gets to marry the love of his life, everything just went to hell???? Why couldn’t he be happy? After everything he went through? Why…why
“…why…are…you…doing…thi…?” rasped Takemichi before he coughed out some blood. Everything hurts, he couldn’t feel his legs. Black spots were gathering at the corner of his eyes. He was losing consciousness.
“Why not?” was his assailant’s answer. They were looking at him with such loathing he felt a shiver go down his spine.
Things shouldn’t have gone like this!
The person walking out of the doors was the last thing Takemichi saw before he finally succumbed to the darkness.
