If people usually hate Wednesday, Arya has always been more of a Tuesday hater. Nothing has ever been enjoyable about this day, for no apparent reason. But ever since the beginning of her exchange program with the Seoul National University, our young woman has come to enjoy every Tuesday just like she used to love Saturdays back in Canada. And the reason for that is quite simple: she is living her dream, both as a young adult living in Korea and as a soon-to-be fashion designer doing an internship at BE:Lift.
Sure, it comes with its ups and downs, with yesterday being quite a day as she and her friends almost got fired, first day into their second week of work. But everything ended up on a good note, and her friend Ailen even had a well deserved nice night out.
Really, there is nothing she would like to change. Nothing excepts...
@Lhseung wants to send you a message
"For God's sake, will he ever stop messaging me"
Whether it was for important matters, such as the Dispatch incident, or trivial stuff concerning whether the sky was blue, the young Korean man would be drowning our protagonist with messages almost every single day, to her utmost desperation.
Not that she hates the man, but to be fully honest, he has to be one of the most annoying human beings she has ever met.
Not only does Arya despise small talk, she hates it even more when it comes to chatting with an almost complete stranger she kind of knows nothing about. Not that she would like to know more anyway; she is not the type to need plenty of acquaintances, and the four friends she has made since she got here seem like more than enough for her.
Ignoring the black's message for the umpteenth time, she turns her attention toward the bathroom she shares with Nai and from where the Latina just got out. Heading in, she doesn't pay attention to her phone left on the bed, ringing unceasingly.
About an hour and a half later, our five friends make their way into the BE:Lift building, just as seven familiar faces head out.
"- Oh hey guys!
- Hello Jake, answer Kai right away. Where are you guys going?
- We are heading for breakfast at the bakery at the corner of the street; they ran out of croissants in here, says Sunoo.
- Wanna come? adds Heesung to their utmost surprise
- Not like we almost got kicked out for appearing in public together, says Meri sarcastic
- Oh come on, we'll buy a croissant not go on a date, quietly answers Sunghoon"
Looking at Ailen and then at one another, our five protagonists can't help but feel like they shouldn't. Sure, they are early, but they have had enough problems and don't need any more Dispatch scandals.
"Noonas, Hyung, please..."
Letting out a sigh, they finally give in, Arya gently scolding the maknae.
"Niki, that's cheating"
All laughing together, they finally head to the bakery, which is only three minutes away. Three minutes where Heesung had to find a way to annoy our Canadian
"- Why didn't you answer my messages? I was asking you if you guys wanted to come to the bakery.
- Well, we are still here, aren't we? So whether I answer you or not, actually doesn't change a thing.
- Oh come on pretty, look at Jungwon and Nai, can't we just get along like them ?
- Listen, neither are you Jungwon, nor am I Nai. Our relationship, if we can even call it that, is closer to that of Meri and Jay.
- You really are no fun
- Yes I've been told before. Now stop bothering me, we have arrived.
- Okay, okay. Your wish is my command"
Next to the both of them, Kai, who was excited to be walking in the streets with all of his friends like normal people often do, was taking plenty of pictures that he carefully only posts on his private story (literally 15 people have access to it, 12 of them being our group).
It is less than a minute later that he receives a message from the man he thought had forgotten him.
Β
- Still hanging out with idols I see, never learning your lesson are you
- Listen, you broke up with me, what else do you want ?
- And seems like you got over it pretty quickly...
- Chris, it's not like that
- Yes, whatever you say, Kai. I really thought you and I had something special.
- Chris...
Β
"Is everything okay?"
Startled by the sudden call, Kai almost stumbles as the Australian barely catches him.
"- Hey there, careful
- Oh sorry. It's just...
- You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I'm here to listen whenever you feel like telling someone.
- Thank you Jake, really"
Doubt all over his mind, Kai can't help but wonder if that nice man next to him is deserving of the plan his, somehow fucked up, mind came up with.
But Chris
Images of his ex-lover start to flash before his eyes as a determined look takes over his usual chill one. Fuck ethics; his morals are his own, and he has the right to do whatever with them. He is sorry for Jake, but what needs to be done will be done, and soon Chris Bain will be kneeling before him, begging for his pardon.
Of course, nobody would approve of this, and rightfully so, so he will have to not make it too obvious.
I would never actually hurt Jake; I know what I am doing.
Promising to himself that he would stop it all if it ever goes too far, he finally enters the bakery. All eyes on him, he turns scarlet, scared of his face betraying his inner unethical thoughts.
"- Kai, you didn't answer; do you want a croissant or something else?
- Sorry Ailen I did not hear you. I'll take the same as you, please.
- Okay then!"
On the way back to the agency, Heesung finds his way back to Arya, who is already munching on her pastry.
"You are right, we don't have to be like Nai and Jungwon, but we can just be ourselves and try to get along, don't you think?"
Giving him the side eyes she was well known for back home, the young woman swallows her bite before answering with a hint of challenge in her voice.
"- Why do you like me so much, Lee HeeSung? Can't you see I'm fine by myself? And furthermore, what made you so sure we could get along?
- Now that's a lot of questions. You could just tell me if you wanted to hear me talk more"
Seeing Arya close to turning her back to him, he quickly apologizes.
"- Sorry, sorry, I will stop teasing you. But really, I really like the five of you guys, and it would be a shame for us not to be friends when I already get along with the others. Even Meri talks to me somehow nicely. So just give me a chance. Please ?
- Yeah whatever"
She finally turns around, engaging in a conversation with Ailen next to her. But this time, Heesung does not stop her. This answer is already more than enough for him, and he is going to make sure that this "whatever" will soon turn into something nicer. Because what he wants, he gets, must he make all of her wishes come true.

Hello and welcome back !Β
I've been hit by a wave of inspiration so here you go with chapter Seventeen already (talking about Seventeen, I'm still listening to Super on repeat)
Also I've come to the conclusionΒ that ~1000 words chapters are what I'm better at. Writing actual normal length stuff are not up my lane ^^"Β
Anyway, hope you enjoyed and see you next time !
