The Stars Connect Us (MHA Soulmate AU)
Summary

The Voice (Sero X OC)

3rd(I think) Person POV (Sero's side)

The OC is genderfluid. Give me more ships to write

Sero woke up on his 5th birthday with a soulmate mark on his arm. Other than that though, nothing. No drawings on his arms (which he was kind of hoping for because people might pay less attention to his odd-looking elbows and more to the artwork that littered them), no numbers, no animals, nothing. He had no idea how he was going to find his soulmate at this rate. He was kind of disappointed. On the other hand, both of his sisters were ecstatic for him. Their energy almost made him not disappointed. Key word: Almost.

He considered the mark as his soulmate tell for a while. The sun was always up, he only saw the moon once or twice. His soulmate went to bed after him (which was a hard achievement in the first place) and, woke up before him almost every day. Sero was 100 percent sure they were sleep deprived at all times.

Sero didn't know what his soulmate bond was until he was 13. All of his friends had been speaking about their soulmates more and more recently. That only lead to him trying to figure out his soulmate bond more and more often. He asked family and, friends just trying to figure out what exactly his soulmate bond was. He very quickly noticed that he had felt something whenever he thought about connecting with his soulmate, just when he would get close though, he would get distracted by something.

It was an odd feeling, something that he couldn't even describe. When he was focusing on it, the odd feeling only got stronger. It felt like he was losing an important part of himself, while also gaining it. Like, it was being replaced with someone else's.

Sometimes he noticed that when he would talk to anyone it would feel like one extra person was listening in, even when he was talking to himself. One night, while he was listening to music, he noticed the feeling again. He was laying on his back looking at the ceiling of his bedroom. He closed his eyes and began focusing on the feeling.

As he focused, he noticed his music getting quieter and quieter until, he couldn't hear it anymore. He thought he had fallen asleep until, he opened his eyes and saw his room exactly how he had left it. Confused, he sat up and looked around his room. He opened his phone, thinking he might have gone deaf. His music was still playing in fact, the song had changed to one that he knew was pretty long. When he concluded that it was nearly impossible for someone with perfect hearing to go completely deaf within seconds, he lied back down on his bed and continued focusing on his soulmate bond again.

He slowly began to hear sounds that he should not have been able to hear. He heard the sound of writing on paper, wind blowing through trees, a cat purring, and someone humming along to the song that he wasn't able to hear through his headphones anymore. He was confused for a moment before quickly ripping out his earbuds. He listened as the person stopped humming, and sighed. The writing stopped and he heard a voice. "Why'd you stop listening to the music? I really liked it" the person said with a huff. Sero thought that they were probably pouting and,for some reason, he couldn't stop a smile from creeping onto his face.

His smile very quickly went away as he said, "Hello?" He wracked his brain for every possibility of what was happening, except for the one sitting right in front of him. "Um...Hi?" The person said, confusion laced their voice. His eyes were open once again, looking around the room trying to figure out where the voice was coming from.

After a couple of minutes he heard "Are you my soulmate? Or, have I begun hearing things?" Sero sat there for a moment not understanding how to answer. "I think, I might be your soulmate but, I don't know" he said. "If you can hear me, and I can hear you then, we're probably soulmates. This is the first time I've been able to hold a conversation while using our soulmate bond so, I think we are" the person said.

"Well, my names Hanta Sero" Sero said. After a couple of minutes the voice responded

"What's your name?" They asked.

"It's Hanta Sero" Sero repeated.

"Did you finish your sentence or, are you messing with me?" Sero's soulmate asked.

"I answered" he responded.

After a couple of minutes of silence the voice asked "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Sero asked.

"I'm assuming you didn't, given that answer," the person replied.

"What did you say?" Sero asked.

"Nothing important, just my name about 20 times in a row," They replied nonchalantly.

"So, I still don't get to know your name. Greaaaaaatttt" Sero said dragging out the last word.

The voice giggled before replying, "I guess not."

Sero spent the rest of that night talking to his soulmate. They learned a lot about each other to make up for lost time. They talked until his soulmate had to go inside for dinner. Sero went to school the next day with plenty of stuff to talk about with his friends.

Their soulmate bond: hearing bond- if they focus enough on their soulmate bond one can hear through the others ears, any sound around their soulmate, at the price of their own hearing for the time
