Dinner date

"Baby you coming?" Nike's voice sounds from downstairs.

"Yes. I'll be right there!" Athena shouted back as she took her purse and looked around the room.

She assumed she had everything. A last glance in the mirror told her her white long sleeved dress looked as perfect as a few moments ago. Quickly the goddess flashed herself in front of her girlfriend. A whistle notified her that the mirror hadn't lied.

"Mhm damn." Nike muzed with a smirk.

She took Athena's hands in her own as she took a good look at her.

"You look gorgeous." The angel acknowledged as she looked up to kiss her girlfriend.

"I know." The latter winked, wrapping her arms around her neck.

"Cocky."

"As ever. But truth be told. You don't look so bad yourself." Athena smiled.

The victory goddess was wearing a navy colored three piece suit with a black tie. Where Athena chose to leave her hair loose, Nike's was braided over her shoulder.

"How about we get going?" The angel asked.

"Sounds like a plan." The wisdom goddess replied, adding a quick kiss.

Both goddesses left the temple of the gods and walked all the way up to the elevator that would bring them down to the mortal world.

Once down there they headed up to the restaurant Nike picked. Something with Greek food. The angel had said that they should at least see how much it changed over the years. With a smile Athena had agreed.

When they arrived the pair stopped in front of the lady in charge of reservations.

"Good evening. Can I help you?" She smiled.

"We should be on the list." Athena nodded.

"Name?"

Crap. One thing the wisdom goddess hadn't prepared for. She'd have to give a name.

"Athena Chase." She said.

She waved her hand discreetly and her name appeared on the list.

"Table for two is that correct?" The lady asked.

The daughter of Zeus nodded.

"Right this way please." The woman said, guiding them to their table.

"Really? Chase?" Nike said as they sat down.

The jealousy dripped through the cracks of professionalism.

"Sorry. It was the first thing that came to mind." Her girlfriend replied taking her hand over the table.

"Right." The angel mumbled.

"Please angel. Let's not do this right now. We're not here to fight are we?"

The victory goddess shook her head, acknowledging what Athena had said.

"I know. I'm sorry. I just hate that the guy was able to capture your heart like that and then threw it away like he didn't need it." She admitted.

Athena gave her a smile.

"I know. But don't let the past bother you. You're the one who is here with me now and that's all that matters." She said, kissing the hand she was holding.

Nike nodded. As usual Athena was right. It was all that mattered and she didn't want to be anywhere else anytime soon.
