Chasing a junky in a miniskirt
Summary
You and Lin get a call about a noise complaint.
Note
This was inspired by a Hawaii five-o episode I just thought it would fit Lin and the detective.

I sit silently next to Lin as we drive to the apartment building where several people complained about their neighbour listening to music a little too loud.

As Lin parks the car I look at the name I scribbled in my notepad before ringing his doorbell. Nothing happens so I ring again.

Again Nothing. So I ring the doorbell of his next door neighbour and he lucky opens.

“Hello what can I do for you?”

“Hello Sir, my name is detective L/n and we’re here because of your neighbours loud music.”

“Oh thankfully he hasn’t started playing again today but if you wait 20-30min he will probably start again.”

And on cue as the last words leave his mouth I get startled by the loud music starting to play behind me.

“Sounds like the party just started Chief.” I say turning towards Lin who just entered the building.

“Mmhmm… come on let’s get this over with.”

She says walking towards the closed apartment door ringing the doorbell again. And again. And again. Nothing. Then she seems to have had enough because she raises her hand making a fist banging on the door loudly.

“Police open up!”

I can’t help but chuckle at her short temper.

“That won’t work we already tried that.” The neighbour butts in.

“POLICE OPEN UP OR WE’LL COME IN FORCEFULLY!” She yell’s at the closed door banging on the wood. Then she suddenly takes a few steps back and lifts her leg and kicks down the door.

“Come on detective.”

I look at her a little perplexed and follow her into the small hallway of the flat. Entering the living room a we are graced with a quite amusing sight: a man in his late twenties dancing in nothing but a miniskirt.

He doesn’t notice us as we walk further into the room.

I look around and spot a bowl with lilyweed knocked over on the floor. I nudge Lin’s steel clad arm softly and point at the bowl. She raises her eyebrows and mutters, “Looks like he had a little herbal fun.” “Mmhmm.”

Then he turns around eyes still closed after a few seconds he opens them spotting us and abruptly halting his movements staring at us. I motion to my badge while Lin takes a step forward in his direction. He suddenly turns towards the open window jumping out onto the street below.

I run to the window and jump out too with Lin close behind.

“Follow him I’ll block his way!”

“Yes Chief!”

And with that she shoots up her cables and is out of my sight. I follow the lightly dressed man into an alley but he suddenly halts because there is a fence blocking his way. Then he tries in a feeble attempt to climb over the fence I try to pull him back. But no. He falls forward. Without his miniskirt. My Eyes. No I will never be able to forget this. While I try to process what just happened he starts running again.

After a few seconds my brain kickstarts and I start to charge after him. Im able to tackle him in a front yard after a few minutes.

Just as our bodies hit the floor Lin comes running into the yard and I jump up from the grass.

“Ew, Ew, Ew, I think IT touched my thigh! You can cuff him.” And with that I throw the miniskirt I’ve been holding at Lin’s Center and unclip the squad cars keys from the carabiner on her belt and walk back to the apartment building were the car is parked.

When Lin comes into view after a few minutes the has her usual Beifong scowl on glaring holes into my scull the still naked junky stumbling behind being drag by her cables.

When she throws him in the back of the squad car she closes the doors so forcefully with her metal bending I’m scared she’ll bend them off.

“You owe me.” She grits out as she climbs into the drivers seat.

“No. I catchend him. But I’ll still treat you to dinner tonight Lin.” I say with humour lacing my voice.

“Mhmm. Fine.”
