The Long Night by Enid Sinclair

Enid Sinclair had finally managed to turn into a werewolf.
Everything for her: Wednesday Addams.
She often thought about that night even weeks later.
She hadn't given a second thought to the danger she would be in if she had to face the Hyde in her status as a human as her; as soon as Thing had come to let her know the danger Wednesday was in, Enid had thrown herself in search of her.
The fear of those moments when Enid didn't know if she'd make it in time or it was already too late had made the rest of her and uniquely for her had managed to trigger her true wolf nature.
Her anger had made her body incredibly stronger than normal and her fear had sparked a mad race to find her before the Hyde.
She remembered when her eyes caught Hyde choking her / his her / hers On Wednesday, she couldn't keep her anger in check and she lunged at the enemy with her ' intent to kill him. The sharp canines had struck the Hyde in her neck and due to the sharp blow she had managed to keep him away from Wednesday.
Enid had cared little for her own safety: saving Wednesday had been her priority.
In the fuzzy memories of that excited moment where she Enid remembered hitting the Hyde several times and taking as many blows from her cursed nails, one moment stood out among all the brighter and clearer than the others.
On Wednesday, once recovered from the shock, she had met her gaze and without any hesitation of hers had recognized her.
Enid's heart throbbed now as it had last night as her mind brought back Wednesday's voice.
“Enid…”
Enid had smiled at her at that moment certain that Addams would have understood even beyond her beastly form, but that brief distraction had cost her an unexpected attack from Hyde who, taking advantage of that moment, had thrown himself at her with all his strength and anger which he possessed in his chest. From that moment Sinclair's memories became darker, she had fought for several minutes uncertain if the next day she would be able to see the light of the Sun again, but what was important was to save Wednesday and she had succeeded.
She remembered waking up full of wounds on her body and face, but she was victorious.
She had managed to get the better of the Hyde even if this had a decidedly high price.
With what little strength she still had left in her body, once she'd lost her werewolf transformation, she had crawled up to the gates of Nervermore in the hope of finding Wednesday.
“You didn't get yourself killed, did you? No, even death is afraid to deal with you” was Enid's recurring thought as she reunited with her schoolmates, but Addams still no sign of her.
The fear of having lost her forever had immediately subdued her heart, but a part of her hadn't accepted that impossible reality for her.
“Where is she? Where is Wednesday?” she had repeated in a low voice to those present, but none of those present had answered.
Even now days later Enid could feel that fear of her not having quite left her.
But then the most beautiful memory of her crept into all her fears sweeping them away.
Wednesday was alive, a few meters away from her.
Enid paralyzed in her place had run up to her and she had held her with all the little strength she had in her body.
It was the first time that the two had embraced each other and as expected, Wednesday had driven her away after an initial moment of disturbance.
Enid had looked at her, covered in blood from head to toe, happy as ever.
Her heart was pounding.
Something in Wednesday's gaze had changed in that moment and he swore she saw a strange gleam in her dark eyes before he saw her reach towards her and hold her close.
Enid had abandoned herself to her as Wednesday weighed on her shoulder.
The pain she'd felt up to that day, the wounds Enid was carrying, all disappeared in Wednesday Addams' arms.
Enid, immersed in the darkness of her room, had replayed every moment of that exhausting night and a sweet smile had played on her lips as she turned her eyes to the part of the room belonging to Addams now sleeping in her bed.
“I'm glad…that you're still here with me,” she whispered softly before closing her eyes again hoping to dream of her too that night.
