chapter 8

It’s been a week since the “scene” in the dorm house and Kiana and Fu Hua have gotten a lot closer since, however that's not the only thing that's happened since that fateful morning.
Kaine had been trying and failing to speak with Kiana the entire week, not to say that the boy got shy and was unable to speak with the girl in question but rather that Kiana was flexing her ability to disappear when she doesn't want to be interacting with other people (in her defense, she doesn't want to deal with or interact with people whilst in her current condition exception being Hua and to an extent Himeko)
Bronya for her part was attempting to follow through with what she had stated to Kaine and was attempting to observe Kiana, which proves to be both difficult and frustrating when Kiana disappears around a corner or into a crowd like shes a ghost that never existed in the first place
Mei on the other hand seems to be consistently, constantly, agitated especially when Kiana and Hua are in the same room (it doesn't help that the Herrscher was taking the opportunity to put ideas into her head about what could possibly be happening between Kiana and Hua and was taking joy in her despairing aggression)

Within Theresa’s office currently goes on a meeting between Theresa and a rising star of the Schariac family, Ana Schariac, and they seem to be finishing up their discussion
“I’m curious, what happened that brought you here Ana?, especially since the main families opt to keep the Valkyries and Valkyries in training that come from them at HQ” Theresa asks.
Ana takes a moment to think of an appropriate way to answer the question asked
“Would spite be a good enough answer?” She ultimately decides to go with part of the truth of her reasoning.
“Come again” Theresa was genuinely confused
Ana lets out a sigh, "I'm not a fool Miss Theresa, from the way they train us down to how they critique our posture, they are trying to fit us in a mould that represents Miss Cecilia”, she says with a grimace
“T-that's…” Theresa’s eyes widen at what she is hearing
“Inhumane, insane?, believe me I know, but unfortunately no one outside of the family knows and no one in the family will or even want to speak against it,” Ana states with narrowed eyes and a frown, “Mind you, i still look up to Miss Cecilia but it gets really hard to do that when they are trying to turn all of us into her, the only bright side is that when one doesn't meet their standards they get “booted” off to regular Valkyrie training, so yes i came here, of my own free will, out of spite for them”
“I heard that you wanted to be the strongest Valkyrie like Cecilia?” Theresa says with an unsure tone of voice
“I do, but I also want to be “me” when I ultimately reach there, I want to get there through my own efforts and merits and eventually become “Schiksal’s strongest Valkyrie” I want people to see “me” and not a second “Cecilia”” Ana says with determination
“I understand”, Theresa says with a small smile, “Well now that all that is out of the way we just need someone to show you around the academy and the campus proper”
“Oh you don't need to worry about getting me a guide, there's someone I know here and I had asked her to be my guide, in fact she should be on the way if she isn't here already” Ana couldn't help the amused smile that formed on her face

Kiana’s excited, Hua notes as she is being dragged to where she assumes is Theresa’s office due to the path they are currently taking .
Hua honestly couldn't keep the small smile off of her face, it's not often that Kiana is bright and bubbly like this ever since the bet started and she started to be her more natural quiet self
Normally Hua would be somewhat worried about missing class, however at this moment she couldn't really bring herself to care, after all she was ahead of the class by a couple of years and what's being taught in class won't matter to Kiana for another week or 2, is her torturing sessions go like they have been since they started, besides if they are going to Theresa’s office like she assumes, then she could convince the principal to give them a pass that will allow them to go to class a bit later than required.
It was only after they turned the final corner to Theresa’s office that she saw the reason for Kiana’s excitement.
There she stood a girl with platinum blond and a black beret with 3 white four petal flowers as decorations, she's wearing the standard Schiksal standard uniform that you would expect from all Valkyries below A-rank that comes from Schiksal HQ.
Once Kiana saw the currently unnamed girl, Kiana let go of Hua’s hand and ran full sprint at the girl and tackled her to the ground whilst engulfing her in a hug. To say Theresa was unamused by what just happened is an undeniable understatement and Theresa was about to give Kiana what would be the Scolding of a lifetime.
However “Good morning, Principal Theresa” Hua decided to interrupt the scolding that Kiana was about to receive from Theresa
“Huh?! Fu Hua, shouldn't both you and my niece be in class right now?” Theresa asks the ever diligent class monitor with narrowed eyes
“Yes that is true, however Kiana told me through the use of Morse code as she dragged me here that your guest there had invited her and she had asked for me to be a plus one” Hua explained, "besides, it looks like your guest doesn't mind" a glance over to Kiana nuzzling the still unnamed Valkyrie "at all" she finishes.
"Alright, alright, I think that's about enough, no Kia?" The girl says with a giggle
Kiana for her part sat up still saddling her with a pout on her face, ultimately she got off the girl and helps her up
"Well," the girl starts, "I'll start by saying that that has been, by far, one of the better ways I've started my day, in a long time" she says with a soft smile
“ That , was a good start to your day?” Theresa couldn't help but ask with an incredulous look on her face.
“Yep, it was” she says to the diminutive principal with a smile, before addressing at the last person of the group, ”and you must be Fu Hua, I've heard about you, I'm Ana, Ana Schariac”, she says as she offers a handshake to Hua as a greeting
Hua for her part accepts the handshake, “I hope that what you heard is nothing bad, although I can't say I've heard of you”
“Nothing bad, just Kia complaining about how no one else can give her a challenge during sparring”, Anna says with a smile, “and as far as not hearing about me, well all I can say is that Kia isn't a snitch”
“Anyways, the reason I asked Kia to come here I because I wanted her to show me around the school, after all, Miss Theresa and I have just finished going over my class schedule as well as my living arrangements”
“Am I right in assuming that Kiana dragged me here, quite literally might I add, to introduce me to you?”
“Well yes, but I would prefer it if you stayed as well, I may have forgotten that she is mute until the end of this bet of hers”, Ana says, although it's clear from the smile on her face as well as the tone of her voice that she's lying about forgetting the bet.
“Well Principal Theresa, will you let us give Ana a tour of the campus?” Hua asks Theresa.
Theresa lets out a sigh before saying, “make that the campus and the Academy as a whole and we have a deal” both Hua and Kiana give her a nod, “alright I'll go give Himeko the pass slips for the both of you for today, oh and before I forget, Kiana” Theresa calls to her niece, “congrats on the 69 on the quiz last Friday” Theresa says with a smile which causes Kiana to beam in response.
Kiana with a smile starts to pull both Hua and Ana with her to show Ana around
