immediately right after you left the diner, you could feel eyes staring at you. turning around slowly, you met eyes with a man holding a beer bottle leaning on a post. he gave you an eerie smile that made the hairs on your neck stand up. it was then that you promptly turned back around and scurried to the park across that you believed had more people in the area. you spotted out of the corner of your eye that the man still lingered not so far behind you. you darted your head looking around if there was anyone else, but most people were on the other side of the park. walking faster than ever, you notice a tall woman standing near a bench talking on her phone. as you gently grab her arm, her beautiful blue eyes landing on you. you mouthed the word ‘help’ and indicated to the man behind you. “i’m going to have to call you back.”
it was larissa, the mystery woman, that suggested that the two of you go on a walk and make small talk in hopes of that man leaving. as you were talking with her, it was almost as if the two of you were old friends. your fear only resurfaced when you decided to turn around. your smile was gone as you let out a groan of frustration and annoyance. you stopped larissa from walking any further and she looked at you curiously. “quick, kiss me.” her smile faltered as she gave you an incredulous look. too impatient, you took her by the face and gently leaned her down as you went on your toes to meet her midway. your lips met hers for a moment until you finally drew away. aware of the fact that the man had finally left, a victorious smile landed on your face. however, the smile was swiftly wiped off when you came to the full realization of what you did. “i-I’m so sorry. that was rather impolite, what i did. you have every right to be-” larissa brought a finger up to your lips, interrupting you with a slight grin. “it’s quite alright. it was very sudden, but i liked it. would you like to meet up with me for coffee sometime?” you ended up laying on your bed, grinning like a fool that night.
