Chapter 2
The fight had been visceral and bloody but now Crackstone lay dead and Nevermore is safe. The investigation is over. But Wednesday Wasn't done, She needed to find Enid Now. She ran through destruction and students trying her best to search for her. Last she had seen she had finally wolfed out and went to fight with a Hyde. God she could Imagine what a fight it was, and she will definitely tell Enid how great she was taking on Hyde by herself in her first transformation. She saved her life after all, she just had to FIND HER. She made it out of the school towards the woods where Enid was fighting and then in the distance she saw her. Despite her injuries she took off in a sprint the same time Enid did.
They slammed into each other covered in blood and dirt but despite it Enid looked so happy.
“Oh god Willa.” Enid cried through her tears. “ I thought you were dead, no one had seen you.”
“I’m here Enid, I’m here” Wednesday knew at that moment that the Family Curse had not in fact skipped her and she was oh so helpless for Enid Sinclair. “I’ve got you now Mi Amor.”
Enid smiled into Wednesday's shoulder and sighed, squeezing tighter “And I you.”
The students gave them a wide berth and they shuffled their way around to get treated. Not leaving each other's side for a second. They couldn’t bear to let the other leave their sight.
After it was all said and done, teachers decided that it was safe enough to stay in the dorms that remained and let the students try and relax while parents came to pick their children up the next day.
Wednesday and Enid felt a tension leave when they entered their room, seemingly untouched from the chaos outside. Wednesday all but drug Enid to her bed and threw herself down after her never looking so disheveled.
“Willa I-”
“Enid I-”They started at the same time.
They smiled slightly at each other. “Willa I- I didn’t even think when I wolfed out. All I could hear was the pounding in my head and you were in danger and that was enough for it to happen.”
“Without you I would surely be six feet under by now. I am forever in your debt.”
Enid shook her and heard a scooter closer to Wednesday who immediately did the same making them face to face. “Wednesday I-”
Enid was quickly silenced as their lips met, Wednesday always needing to take charge in a situation. They eased into each other. Enid wraps her arms around Wednesday knowing she will be the only one to see her like this, this soft and caring. It's only for Enid.
They pull apart and Wednesday has this knowing smirk as if she knows exactly what Enid is going to say next.
“How do you know how to kiss so well?!”
Wednesday breaks out into a full smile now. “I’m an Addams.”
