Chapter 3
"Wait hold on- you're telling me that we have one of those cliche queen bees?"
Sprig patted Annes leg and sighed "unfortunately" Anne growled. She hated people who believe they were higher than others. They were the same people who thought that they were to good to help out a elderly, that they were to important to hang out with a farmer. Those types of people got her really fired up.
"Easy girl, easy. No one is thinking their better than Sprig- though they probably are-"
"Polly!"
"How bout we finish giving you the grand tour! You'll also pass our rooms on the way."
Anne sighed and nodded, Polly smiled hopping over to Anne grabbing her hand before dragging her out the door, Sprig followed behind closing the door as they took their leave. "Hey didn't you say Marcy Wu is an other roommate?" Sprig asked as he trailed behind, a hum confirmed his suspicion. "Huh- I think that's the headmasters kid."
"Son of a bitch!"
Getting yelled at and a half a tour later the siblings stood in the quad. "It's a Pentagon though." Anne stated in a small state of confusion. "Yep" Sprig and Polly matched. "Okay" Polly clasped her hands together walking Infront of Anne and Sprig "so here's the basics incase you want to pull any pranks or steal the good homework." Anne glared at her as Sprig looked unamused.
Smiling Polly ignored the glare and turned around beginning to follow the concrete path by the walls. "These are the aquatics, they're made of any water species and probably more. These are- like us- the amphibians, newts, toads, frogs and what ever else is in our category. Witches, they have bile sacks which let's them produce magic. Fangs are vampires, no they don't flake in the sun, yes they are technically dead."
Polly pointed to each group as she spoke, giving the minimum amount of knowledge possible to move on. Normally she won't, hell she'll just say your problem and leave. But her sister is well into to drama that was very clear. And if she won't answer half the questions now she wouldn't be able to luck out the rest.
"Scales are like a mix of sirens and mermaids just without the tail. I think. They are basically god of water and whatever their necklace does. Demons are just weird, some look weird some have a bile sack like witches it's a gamble. Unnamed they have weird powers or something, they don't fit into any of the labels. The stoners-"
Anne opened her mouth to speak before she was quickly cut off by Polly. "Before you ask Anne, no they don't have weed. Their Gorgons. They Medusa people. Hence why their called stoners." Sprig shrugged at Polly explanation, "I don't know. You can't tell me they don't smell like the devil's lettuce from time to time." The youngest sighed giving the boy a shove.
"And last but probably not least." Gesturing her hand towards a group surrounded by the small pond with a tree, "the furs. Their werewolves. Loud, messy and mostly smelly." A girl with blonde hair sat in the middle on the edge of the stone holding the pond together. Her legs were crossed and arms were supporting her. She stare blankly at the people surrounding her.
Anne crouched down to whisper in her siblings ears, "blonde girl- she Regina George?" Sprig snorted while Polly dramatically sighed shoving Anne to the side, leading them through an other door to get inside again. "Oh- oh OH we definitely need to watch mean girls again. We haven't had a sibling night in a while." Anne suggested.
Sprig hopped happily agreeing on spot. "Yes all the way!" Sibling night was common during the weekends. But do to the fact they were in the middle of the school year more and more tests were coming up Sprig and Polly didn't have extra time. So they hung out less and less, it didn't help that Polly and Sprig practically lived in their dorm. And when they did come home it was just farm work till they had to return before curfew ended.
So Anne was excited not only to get away from her old school but to also hangout with her siblings more. Hop pop wasn't as fun. And her parents were always busy at Thai Go. Anne couldn't complain, both her grandpa and parents worked hard to build what they have and she refused to ruin that by being selfish.
"Only if we get to watch Zombie Land!" Polly exclaimed getting her voice through Anne's newly found energy. "Aw what no!" Sprig shouted from behind Anne, moving to her side continuing to voice his reasoning. "That movie isn't age apparent! There's literally a stripper in the first minute of the movie!"
"Oh please! You don't see a nipple it's fine."
"Yuh but you see the rest!"
A few students passed by them giving weird looks while doing so. No one could blame them though. A girl with blonde hair with pink and green separately dyed parts was one of the few students. As much as she wished to shrug it off there was no way she could get that conversation out of her head.
The girl opened the door leading out to the quad, she took a left and a few more turns. Eventually leading her in front of a statue. A man holding a book. Very original. Snapping twice the statue moved, revealing a stair case leading down. The girl walked down the steps while the statue moved back to its original place behind her.
Her steps drowned out the few voices that occupied the hidden library. Once used by the nightshades, now used by nerds hiding away from the world and secret game night.
Molly-Jo jumped off the last two steps, stomping on the floor. She looked around her to see a witch with tan skin and dark hair star fished on the floor, beside her a vampire with some of her hair dyed, who was working on some kind of gadget while sitting on the ground and behind her was an artist sitting on a empty bookshelf with her legs swaying back and forth. Little sounds coming from her console.
"GAME OVER!"
That was the sound made moments before the person whined and began ranting. "NonononoNO, I dodged that! The stupid zombie couldn't have get me! UGH Aiden I'ma kill your sister if she isn't already dead!"
"Marz you're trying to find his sister not kill her." Molly-Jo joked hearing the rage fit while walking towards her. The witch on the floor nodded her head in agreement, "yeah that's like the whole point of the game is to find her Marz." Marcy whined more and sat her Nintendo Switch down on the shelves before jumping down. Landing on her face of course, her friends didn't even bother to help bring all to familiar with her clumsy ness.
She was quick to recover though, standing up and dusting herself off. "It's still stupid. I mean his sister could fully be dead and he's still trying to look for her!" She said moving her hands as she spoke.
The witch raised an eyebrow, "what about that dude who had the key at the beginning in the tunnels? Didn't he say she's alive-"
"Nuh huh! I mean- yes Luz he did say that but the two got separated when they were younger. Ugh I'm so done with that game."
"Easy girl, no ones looking for sisters here." Ally teased as Marcy kicked her shoulder playfully making Ally to abandoned her project on the floor. Molly-Jo shook her head at the two before speaking. "Anyways! I got news" she sang while doing jazz hands. "Does it need confetti?!" Luz asked excitedly ready to bounce up.
"Do you just, always, have confetti on you?" Ally asked, almost scared. Marcy sat by Luz and defended her. "Hey! You never know when there's gonna be a confetti moment!" The colorful hair vampire nodded, "okay so yeah, you stay strapped twenty four seven." Molly-Jo rolled her eyes and spoke up, "sadly no Luz." Luz deflated as Marcy pats her back.
"But I am eighty seven percent sure we have a new student!"
Marcy and Luz seemed interested. It was the middle of the year and headmaster Wu was known for being more tough with grades and what not. There was never a new student this far into the year though. Ally sat up and looked at her "wheres the other thirteen percent?"
"In the ground with my parents."
The rest of the group just deadpanned while looking at her. Molly-Jo snorted, "jk, either she's a new student or Sprig and his sister snuck em in." Marcy sat up straighter, she knew Polly well. They had robotics together and were seat buddy's. She knew her well enough to know Polly isn't too found of people. Only Pearl, her brother, her sister, parents and grandpa that's it. It was clear as day, hell everyone in the school knew it.
"You sure they just weren't the siblings friend?"
"Positive, the three were talking about movies and then strippers came into the talk." Luz, Ally and Marcy's face quickly turned into concern? Luz was the first to speak. "Back pedal- what?"
