You have torn it all apart!
.
As Luz watched Amity walk away, her heart sank. She could feel the distance between them growing, suffocating her.
The weight of her own emotions became unbearable, threatening to consume her. The walk through New Hexside felt like an eternity, her own footsteps echoing loudly in her ears. She couldn't bear the sound of her own thoughts, the regret and confusion consuming her mind. She tried to catch up to Amity, desperately wanting to explain herself, but every step felt heavy, as if she was dragging the weight of her mistakes along with her.
Finally, they arrived at Mat’s ‘control’ room, a place that was supposed to bring comfort and hope in finding the others. But to Luz, it felt daunting. She couldn't run away from her own turmoil, no matter how hard she tried. Her hand absentmindedly reached for her unhatched palisman, a staff Eda had helped her create, seeking some sort of connection to her mentor. But it only reminded her of how far apart they were now Luz sat alone in the student-made planning room of the school, her mind swirling with a whirlwind of emotions. She traced her fingers along the edges of a crumpled piece of scrapped paper, a failed attempt at writing a heartfelt apology to Amity. But the words eluded her, slipping through her fingers like sand.
She couldn't bear the thought of losing Amity, the one person who had shown her what love truly meant since shed found her place. But now, their once vibrant connection felt distant and cold, like a flame snuffed out by a gust of wind. The weight of her mistakes pressed heavily on her chest, making it difficult to breathe.
Minutes turned into hours as Luz wrestled with her thoughts, trying to find the courage to face Amity once more. But every time she saw the purple-haired witch, her tongue tied itself into knots, rendering her speechless. They didn't even make eye contact anymore, their gazes avoiding each other like ships passing in the night.
It didn’t seem as if anyone else had noticed the tension. Atleast, if they did, they did a great show of hiding it.
Nonetheless,Luz felt as if she had just torn it all apart.
