Makeovers -
It was a wonderful, joyous time since the first date. Particularly the series of little spontaneous outings or arranged ones. In Vaggie’s personal opinion, it’s when they’re just doing whatever that’s best.
Window-shopping in the mall, trying out foods in cafes they manage to find in the cracks and crevices of the city, the sights they'd see when taking a different path than usual... it was all fantastic. Sure, Vaggie could still do without the assholes and bitches trying to start shit but at least with Charlie around, it’s actually rare for that to happen. However, there was still the critical, envious gazes that would happen sometimes, along with the whispers and murmurs.
As a result, the moth demoness had still gotten the idea that she should do something about herself. The only question is… what? While pondering this, the pink x-eyed girl was in her room, looking in the full-length mirror. She saw her typical outfit, the white dress with x’s on the chest, the mismatched stockings and arm sleeves, and the bow on her head.
“Is it my look…?” She wonder aloud under her breath.
Vaggie did think that maybe she should go for a new look already and obviously not her work uniform. Her job involving providing security at one of the Morningstar’s more exclusive stores nearby the guest house was a pretty decent paycheck so maybe it was time.
At least, that’s what the moth demoness feels so now there was planning for an outing to be done. Plus spears that had to be sharpened. Then the pink x-eyed girl had heard the knocking on her door. She recognized it as the kind of knock her girlfriends. A series of knocks to the tune of Honey, Honey.
Sure enough, Charlie was there Vaggie opened the door. “Hey, Charlie. What’s up? Want to join me in my room?”
The hellborn princess enters the room with a pep in her step and seats herself on the bed, which was simple and had lavender sheets with a pattern of bow-adorned cherries them.
“I wanted to make another date with you. I think it's about time we had one,” the rosie-cheeked blonde stated.
“The last date was a day ago.”
“That’s still too long! I feel like I'll die if I don't go on a date with you!”
The moth demoness chuckled, feeling the light, fluttery feeling she could only get from her girlfriend. Then she gets to thinking. “Maybe we can go to an art museum for our next date. I've been wanting to go one for my whole life anyway but I never did."
"Oh, then I know such the place! I'll call the chauffeur to-"
"Wait!" Then at knowing she's got Charlie's attention, "Sorry but not today. I think I’ll be going out soon.”
“Oh, really? What were you planning on doing today?”
That’s when the pink x-eyed girl got a bit hesitant, finding this a little embarrassing for some reason. “Um… well… I was thinking that maybe I wanna change my outfit.”
The red-eyed girl seemed worried for a second. “Really? Are you sure this isn’t over… any insecurities?”
Probably fair, I'm acted nervous just now...
Vaggie was quick to shake her hands and head, saying, “No, it’s not anything like that. It’s just… maybe it’s something I just want. I mean, I do want to get a new look. For myself. I'm just not sure how. I think I'll go to the stores and see what’s there. See if there’s anything I would like.”
Charlie promptly jumps up from the bed and exclaims, “Then let’s make that the next date!”
“Wait, really?”
“Yeah, really! In fact, let’s go right now!”
The hellborn princess was giddily pushing her girlfriend to outside with one hand, all the while calling for the chauffeur with the other. It wasn’t long before they were in the limo and on their way to Pentagram Prime. Eventually, the pair of women were just walking around and browsing together. The moth demoness was still kind of in awe over the magnitude of this store and all the different choices available.
Then the pink x-eyed girl felt it again, heard it again. All those glares and insults. It was only from a handful but it's not like it's ceased to bother her. The worst part is, it’s probably only to be expected that everyone would be so envious and judgmental. After all, an ordinary sinner is dating the freaking princess of Hell. Most sinners would kill for that. In fact, there were some who actually have tried killing Vaggie for that. At least Charlie made sure that no one would try that shit.
Of course, the moth demoness was still going to subjected to crap from the distance. She tries reasoning to herself that it’s not anything new for her so she was able to focus on all of the clothes around her. The only real problem to the pink x-eyed girl is that, by far, nothing was really speaking out to her.
Not anything rather off the shoulder or with some fancy decal detail on the hem or bodice or sleeves. Those kind of garments felt more suitable for a formal kind of date. Not the black leather jackets, which were too edgy; after all, she may be cynical but she's not depressing. Definitely not the crop tops or things with rather low necklines. They were kind of uncomfortable, if it was going to be out in public.
In fact, I think I better find something that don’t have x’s on my breasts. I don’t even know why I even had those at that place when I died…
“Hey, Vaggie! I found some clothes! I don’t know if you would like them but I thought they would look nice on you. So come here and take a look!”
Cue a fashion montage. At least Vaggie did like clothes and she very much enjoyed the heaps of praise and compliments that Charlie seemed to have an abundance of. It was quite a long line of outfits chosen. The hellborn princess certainly had a more cutesy choice of outfits, if she were to pick any girls’ clothes. And since she knew that the moth demoness greatly preferred skirts and dresses, all the choices were exactly either one.
Poofy skirts, frills and lace, the color pink, at least a bow or two. Really, it was probably impressive that it was all subdued in the quantity in the overall outfit. It kept on going until the pink x-eyed girl had finally went through them all. Despite how the outfits picked out were nice, it was still more Charlie’s style than Vaggie’s. In fact, the red-eyed girl was told that much when all the clothes were put on.
Although the rosie-cheeked blonde still insisted on buying some of the choices from the little fashion show. “Well, let’s not give up just yet. Besides, we’re having so much fun! Let’s keep going!”
Vaggie smiled, nodded, and went in a different direction from Charlie. The former of them was going through the rows of clothes, only giving passing glances to all of it. Then she stopped due to spotting something in particular.
It looked simple. A red shirt and black skirt ensemble. Yet, with the little touches like the black buttons and collar and arm sleeve bands and the white waist band, the outfit looked just right somehow.
The moth demoness immediately took the outfit and went to another section of the store. She was able to find quickly a pair of purple arm sleeves and equally purple stockings, although the long socks also have a white rim at the top of them. Still, the pink x-eyed girl thought it would look perfect overall. She was really feeling it. And she couldn't believe that she really seemed to have found something just by looking around.
Charlie had come across Vaggie again when they both came to the fitting rooms at the same time. The hellborn princess smiled wider and held up a new batch of clothes, jumping in place as she gushed over the latest options in her arms.
“Look! I found some more clothes. This time, I went for some cooler colors, like blue and purple!”
The moth demoness smiled and said, “Thanks, and I will try them on, but…” then at lifting up her picks, “I think this is the one.”
The red-eyed blonde looked at the clothes with eager approval. “Then try it on.”
And so the pink x-eyed girl went into the fitting room and came out in the selected garments. The rosie-cheeked one was looking on with undeniable fondness in her crimson orbs, hands clasped together over her mouth.
“You look so beautiful...” Charlie breathed out.
Vaggie rolled her eyes good-heartedly. “You always tell me things like that.”
“Because it’s always true.”
The pair of women shared a loving gaze before the princess of the two said, “I think you need a finishing touch.”
“What do you have in mind?”
“If you don’t mind… lend me your bow?”
The moth demoness didn’t hesitate in doing so. She knew that she could trust the red-eyed blonde with whatever she was planning to do.
Once the bow was in her hands, the rosie-cheeked girl had engulfed it in flames. It had surprised the pink x-eyed one for a second but then saw that the item given was still intact. Although that hair adornment did change.
Instead of pink, the color became more shaded. More like the same red as Vaggie’s shirt. The ribbon trails significantly longer, although there was a cut here and there on the overall thing. It still didn’t diminish the visual appeal of the head adornment, though.
Charlie held the bow back to her girlfriend. “I just thought it would go with your current outfit better this way. Do you like it?”
Vaggie had a pleased look in her eyes as she turned around and let her lover put it back on her head, her girlfriend quickly grasping the intention behind that.
Then at feeling the bow placed perfectly in her hair, she turned around and said, “Love it.”
