Making up
Yunjin was sitting next to Sakura on the couch, watching the same reality show the oldest was watching before she came in, the two were eating Neapolitan ice cream while laughing at the people on the screen of the tv. It was nice to see the younger one smile after seeing her tear up so much earlier, Sakura thought.
But of course, as she finally started to forget about why she was so upset earlier, her phone started ringing in her pocket. She looks at the screen.
‘My angel 💫 is calling..’
She lets out a sigh as she looks at the older girl next to her.
“Sorry…” she says softly, standing up as she responds to the call.
“Hello..?” Her voice is shaky. She hopes Chaewon won’t notice.
“Baby I’m so sorry for earlier.. I got mad at you for no reason. I miss you, I miss your voice, your smile, your touch, please baby can you come back home. It hurts being without you. Being alone, it’s the worst.”
Chaewon sounds weirdly genuine, it’s rare for her to make the first step after a fight.
Normally Yunjin would’ve been the one begging her to let her back into the apartment.
“Unnie.. you can’t just tell me you hate me then call me when you’re feeling hurt.” Yunjin tries not to sound too rude, hoping Chaewon won’t get upset again.
“You know I didn’t really mean that baby.. I was angry, I feel better now, please don’t leave me. I’m so sorry”
Yunjin can hear her girlfriend’s sobs over the phone, meaning that Chaewon really is sorry.
She looks over her shoulder as Sakura gives her a ‘I told you it would work out’ look and a small smile.
“Fine. Be there in twenty.” The younger girl says softly.
Sakura helped her unit mate with putting her clothes back in her suitcase. Giving her a hug as she walked out the door.
Back in front of the door of her apartment, Yunjin takes a deep breath as she opens it. Stepping in the dark living room, where Shiro was sleeping comfortably on his back.
“Unnie?” She calls out, searching for Chaewon. “I’m in the room.” She hears her girlfriend’s sweet voice through the door of their shared bedroom.
She slowly enters the room, seeing Chaewon’s large brown eyes lovingly staring at her, pulling her into a big hug.
“I’m so sorry.. I didn’t mean to tell you that. I swear I don’t hate you. Please will you forgive me? How can I make it up to you?”
The older girl holds both her hands in hers, rubbing her thumb slowly against the back of Yunjin’s hand.
“Unnie..” Yunjin lets out a little smile, “it’s okay, I forgive you. I shouldn’t have released that song. I knew it made you uncomfortable, yet I still released it. I’m in the wrong here, not you.”
Chaewon’s eyes light up in joy after hearing those words. Cupping Yunjin’s cheeks in her palms, bringing their lips together, they share a soft kiss, a slow and gentle one. No rush, just pure love.
