Tell the World You’re Mine
Summary
Sam has always wanted to take their relationship public right after she got the approval of her grandmother and ended her engagement with Kirk. All she needed was Mon’s consent, which wasn’t given until Mon decided to do it herself.
Note
this is pretty self-indulgent cuz im tired of angst and just want pretty girls (mon & sam) to live their lives to the fullest

Okay, maybe Sam has been too greedy for her own good with the way Mon was basically begging her not to tell anyone about their relationship. As much as she would love to flaunt her gorgeous girlfriend to the whole world, she doesn’t want Sam, who is also her boss, to suffer most of the consequences of her desire. And she’s also scared for herself. She doesn’t want people to only see her as the Lady Boss’ girlfriend.

Sam huffs in annoyance, a little frustrated as she argues that she is ready to face whatever comes in their way if they were to make their relationship public. She loves the thrill of secret make outs and secret dates, but she really wants to show affection to her girlfriend in the eyes of the other people, proudly showing off that Mon is her’s and no one else’s. But of course, she loves Mon too much to defy her, but she reminds that whenever Mon feels like to reveal their relationship, then Sam would gladly comply.

The employees had no idea what was the reason for their boss suddenly rebuking the whole “no dating in the company” rule. It just suddenly vanished when apparently, one of the employees was getting a little too touchy and affectionate with another, and they dare do it in front of their boss, but Sam just looked the other way, arms crossed as she walks away. She even mutters a small apology and an ‘excuse me’ for disturbing their sweet moment, which suddenly became a hot topic within the company.

There were rumors that maybe the honorable lady was either dating someone from the company or she just let her employees be, maybe realizing what love truly is and the things it would make you do. Kirk also stopped appearing in the office so they assumed it wasn’t him since the last time they heard from him and Sam was when Sam basically kicked him out amidst screams of anger and betrayal. They don’t complain though, with now, a bunch of office couples suddenly appearing every now and then.

Noi would question Mon from time to time if she had a boyfriend, with Mon feverishly shaking her head no, denying it hardly before anyone could even ask again. She was just focusing on her work with calls from Sam to come into her office every now and then, to the point she’d been calling for her too much that Yha, Chin, and Noi would share looks of fear for Mon whenever Yha answers the phone.

But rather than going out of the office shaken with fear, Mon would come out nonchalant, light on her steps and sometimes even having a small smile on her face. Noi finds it weird how Mon would sit back on her chair with either an annoyed look, a happy one, or sometimes she’s flushed to the core. Yha just looks at her with an obvious smirk on her face, which quickly vanishes when Mon gives her a look.

But one day, on Sam’s faithful birthday, neither comes to work. The employees cheer in delight when their boss didn’t come in to work, but the delight they felt quickly died down as they realized that Mon didn’t come to work as well. Yha dropped a lot of calls and messages to Mon which would end up being ignored, not until Mon texts her a short ‘I’m okay.’ and that’s it. After that, her phone has been turned off.

“Noi,” She freaks. Noi looks up from her table, eyebrows furrowed, “Mon turned her phone off!” Noi’s eyebrows furrow even further before she asks, “Did you ask where she is?” Yha nods before saying, “Yes, but she didn’t answer. She just told me she’s okay.” She huffs back into her seat as she looms over the fact that her seat-mate wasn’t there and is being mysterious. She has an idea where the girl is, but she’s not totally sure. Apparently her boss’ birthday is that day but she knows Sam’s been lying a lot about her personal life so she doesn’t even know what to believe.

Sam drives themselves to the beach, finding it joy in celebrating with Mon alone rather than with everyone else. They can celebrate her birthday with her friends later on, with their friends quickly agreeing and throwing small teases along their way when Sam texts the group chat that she’ll be leaving with Mon first thing in the morning.

Mon had a wide smile on her face as Sam drives them off the highway, telling her to just answer Yha since her phone has been ringing nonstop for the past few hours. Mon giggles before nodding, answering, then quickly turning her phone off. She’s put all of her attention on Sam but not before taking a quick snap of her girlfriend driving then a snap of their hands intertwined over the stick-shift.

Sam parks her car on the available driveway of the resort she’s booked. Since it’s a little private and reserved, there were only a few people, who she assumes don’t know her since they didn’t really pay attention. Now, she has the liberty to show affection to her girlfriend in such an open space. She chose this place for that reason alone.

She steps out of the car before helping Mon out, holding her hand as she assists her. Mon was wearing heels and it wasn’t exactly the best thing to wear on sand. She laughs before taking her shoes off and just opting to walk barefooted.

Sam takes her bag then gets their luggage from the trunk before pulling Mon with her to the villa she booked for themselves. It wasn’t small but not too big, nothing too grand and was rather homey; just enough for 2 people to enjoy.

As soon as they changed into something light and airy, they quickly run out of the villa to run across the shore. Mon giggles as Sam tries to run after her. They did a few circles around the sand before Mon stops, huffing, as Sam engulfs her in a tight hug. Mon shrieks as Sam lifts her up in the air. She wraps her legs around Sam’s waist and her arms around her shoulders before tilting her head down to be on Sam’s level, placing a deep kiss on Sam’s lips.

“Happy birthday.” Mon whispers amidst small kisses aimed to make Sam giggle.

Sam eventually puts her down to sit on the sand, with Mon’s head finding it’s place on Sam’s shoulder. They look at the vast sea together, finding joy in peace and tranquility. They’re finally free to do whatever they like and not hiding in the safety of Sam’s office, car, or house to do whatever they wanted.

Mon intertwines their hands together as she lifts it up to place a chaste kiss on the back of Sam’s hand. Sam looks at her with adoration and love plastered all over her face as she quickly nuzzles their noses together. Her eyes close as she takes in the moment, finding her heart swell at the presence of her lover.

“Baby,” She whispers, the waves hitting their feet. “I love you.” She places a kiss on the side of Mon’s lips, “I love you so damn much.” She leans in to capture Mon’s lips in a soft kiss. It wasn’t heated, more on affection and adoration. “Thank you for spending my birthday with me. I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

Mon hums as she slowly pulls away, opening her eyes as she finds Sam looking back at her with the same intensity. Their love could be shared by the simple look they share to each other. “I love you too, Khun Sam.” She pecks her cheek, “My love.” She simply mutters, filled with love and gentleness.

Sam feels herself tearing up with every minute that passes, forgetting all of the problems in the world as she enjoys every moment with Mon. They weren’t even doing anything, just sitting there with their hands intertwined, yet Sam thinks that this is the best birthday she has ever had.

Sam leans down to place her head on Mon’s lap, covering her eyes to block the piercing rays of the sun as she smiles contentedly. She finds comfort in Mon’s lap as Mon’s hand finds its way on her hair, patting her head and smoothing over it with her hand. This makes Sam let out a soft hum. She feels so contented, happy, and light with Mon. She feels like a child, so happy and proud of the small moments. She could be herself, be vulnerable and show emotions with her girlfriend, and only with her alone. She could be the best version of herself only reserved for Mon.

There is no better gift than the presence of Mon surrounding her every minute and every second that passes.

“Baby,” Sam hums as Mon calls for her, “I know a perfect birthday gift for you.”

Sam lifts her body up as she hears that, a little confused; Mon has been the perfect birthday gift for her. Mon finds her adorable. She tilts her head as Mon opens her phone, laughing as she’s met with endless notifications from Noi and Yha. She chooses to ignore them all as she goes straight to Instagram.

“What are you doing?”

“Making you happy.”

“Mon—“ She gets cut off when Mon flashes her a bright smile and a tight hold on her hand. “You shouldn’t do this just for me, baby.” Sam sucks in a breath. She has told her so many times that whenever they make a decision, it should be for the benefit of both of them, not only for the interest of the other. Mon shakes her head, “No, I’ve been thinking about it.” She looks at her, “Maybe it’s time to share our love to the world.”

And with that, Mon posts pictures of them, subtle but not exactly poised to hide the identity of the person she is with. It was a photo of Sam’s figure, looking far into the sea. Sam assumes Mon took this picture from the villa. Another photo is a picture of their intertwined hands, and the last one is a picture of Sam driving. It has been cropped in a way that doesn’t completely reveal her face, but just her lips formed in a small smile. A view of Sam’s car’s side mirror is in view, showing the color of the car that they’re riding. Yellow— perfect tell-tale sign of Sam’s car.

It is paired with a simple caption, just a short “Happy Birthday, my love. I love you.” and that’s it. She presses the post button with a quick exhale, and she quickly turns her phone off. Sam’s eyes widen as she releases a laugh, still in disbelief.

“Wow.”

“Did you like it?”

“I loved it.”

It was simple, nothing much, but for Sam, it is everything. Mon is proudly showing her off, not looking back, and nothing screams more love than that. She’s risking everything just so she could tell the world that Sam’s hers.

And for Mon, this is the perfect time to announce that she’s been very much loved. Sam has been fighting for their relationship, so now it’s her turn. She fought with Kirk, breaking off the engagement before he could even retaliate, buying his shares of the company so now Diversity is all owned by Sam, managing more than half of its shares. She fought back with her grandmother after Sam took her for a beach trip months ago, telling her that she’d pick Mon over anything else, and that her company has been doing fairly well these past few months, acquiring almost 10 million Baht in a month after Mon entered the company. Sam thinks Mon’s her lucky charm. And if she wants a grandchild, then it is very much possible with the science of today. She persuades that Co-IVF is very much possible and that if her grandmother truly wants to feel that the grandchild is hers, then Sam would carry the baby. (She also excuses that she doesn’t want Mon to suffer and go through the pain of pregnancy). Sam’s grandmother just lets them be after Sam has been nothing but sad, on edge, mad— any negative feelings you could describe— after she forcefully pushed Mon away from Sam. She found it in her heart to give this chance to them after what has happened to Song. Sam has been doing great anyways, and maybe… Mon is the perfect person for Sam.

They really have no other reason to hide it aside from the fact that Mon just wants to protect Sam from the prying, nosey eyes of the public even after Sam has told and reassured her so many times that she could go through anything if it’s for her.

And she loves the thrill of the secret rendezvous in the office.

Her heart leaps in joy and shock when her own phone rings with Jim’s caller ID. She answers it, giving Mon a look, then puts her phone away from her ear as Jim basically shouts on the other side of the phone.

“Sam!” Jim shrieks, “What was that?! You two are adorable! Tell N’Mon I said hi.” She giggles before ending the call, not even allowing Sam to say anything. Mon laughs as Sam puts her phone down.

Then soon, it was Mon’s turn to answer a bunch of calls. Mainly from Yuki telling her how sweet she is and that her post is quickly gaining traction. She also manages to throw in a quick greeting for Sam with Tee joining her.

Safe to say that Sam’s birthday has been nothing short of sweet surprises.

Since it was a faithful Monday for Sam’s birthday, they go to work on Wednesday after leaving for 2 days. This time, Mon doesn’t make a reason to part ways with Sam from the stairs, joining her as they walk into the floor.

All eyes are on them as Sam only has her eyes on Mon with Mon’s head slightly bowed to the ground, feeling quite shy about the amount of eyes on them. Sam has a small smile on her lips as she slowly takes Mon’s hand in hers, dragging her to the office before Mon could even say anything.

Sam just lets go of her once they have made their way to the office. She doesn’t bother to check if she has locked the door since everyone knows by now anyways. She lifts Mon’s head up by her chin, looking at her in her eyes as she leans in for a reassuring kiss. “Do you want to go home?” She asks. Mon shakes her head, “We need to work, Khun Sam.” She chuckles.

Sam nods before taking Mon in for a tight hug, “Thank you for doing this for me. I love you.”

“I love you too.” Mon kisses her cheek as they pull away. “Call me when someone bothers you, okay?” Mon laughs but nods nonetheless, “I won’t use my girlfriend perks on them.” She jokes. Sam raises both of her eyebrows as she crosses her arms, “No favoritism at work.” She starts, “But I get to take you home and eat with you.” She adds on. Mon just nods.

“You also don’t get mad at me.”

“…Good point.”

Mon walks out of the office with a giddy smile on her face as Yha immediately greets her, eyes wide as she holds her arm. She’s heard of them back then but didn’t make any noise about it, also with the fact that she had an affair with Chin— ended long ago— which the lady boss caught but didn’t fire them. She just warned her about the fact that Chin’s married and that’s it. She’s always found it adorable with how Sam has always been calling Mon into her office whenever Mon’s free of any work.

This time though, she can openly tease her friend about it.

“So you went to the beach with your girlfriend, huh?” Her eyebrows dance as she looms over Mon who sits down at her desk, turning her computer on. Mon laughs before turning away shyly, scratching the back of her head.

“Yeah, it was her birthday…” She trails off, “It feels kind of embarrassing to call Khun Sam my girlfriend.”

“You still call her by her title?!” She almost shouts, “But yes, understandable; she’s our boss.” Mon rolls her eyes with no malice at Yha’s reaction.

“It’s only proper to address her with a title, you know? Being her girlfriend doesn’t make me suddenly have the same status as her. She’s still a Mom Luang after all— the King’s great-great-great grandchild! She’s royalty!” She sucks in a breath, quickly realizing something. Her eyes widen as she looks up at Yha, “I just bagged a princess.”

Noi waltz towards them as she quickly clings onto Mon. Her eyes are wide as her gaze exchanges between Sam’s office and Mon’s figure. “And I thought she liked men.” She says, a little deadpan.

“I didn’t even know I like girls until I met Khun Sam.” She sighs before turning her chair around, “As much as I would love chatting with you, I have 2 days of work to catch up on.” She resumes back to her computer, opening files to quickly go through the list of content she has compiled and is set to be proposed to Sam.

Noi nods with a little pout on her lips with Yha retreating back into her seat. Their focus goes back to their tasks, with Yha even forgetting that she’s sitting across the boss’ girlfriend at some point, not until Sam appears in Mon’s desk, inviting her to eat for lunch.

She looks at her phone and realizes that it’s way past 12, indicating that it is in fact time to eat. “Love,” Yha almost falls out of her chair when Sam calls for Mon in the softest voice she has ever heard come out from the woman, “It’s time to eat.”

Mon quickly nods and stands up, giving Yha an apologetic look and pulls Sam with her. Sam’s gaze remains on her girlfriend as she just lets her pull her wherever, “Where should we eat?” Sam asks.

“I think the cafeteria’s good.” Mon suggests, “We have a lot to catch up on so it’d be better if we don’t go far.”

“We can always finish that in our home.” Sam suggest with a slight smirk on her face, tone more sultry and suggestive. Mon gives her a light push, whining, “Khun Sam, you know that’s not how it always ends!” Sam laughs before pulling Mon closer, “I know, I know.” She huffs, “I just miss you.”

“I literally live in your house—“

Our house.”

“Right, our house— at the moment. We see each other everyday.”

“It’s not the same!” Sam scratches her nose, “Should I move your desk into my office so I could see your face every time?”

“Khun Sam!” Mon laughs. She’s not totally against the idea but her girlfriend would not get any work done.

They reach the cafeteria with Sam pulling Mon’s seat for her. Mon mutters a small thanks as Sam asks her what she wants, looking around the dainty area. “I’ll get whatever you’re getting.” Sam nods, “Is Pad Thai okay?”

“Yeah. You’ll order?” Mon asks, about to stand up from her seat when Sam pushes her back down. “Just sit and look pretty. I’ll order for us.”

Mon totally finds Sam adorable as she walks into a stall in the cafeteria, with the lady behind the counter flinching when she saw the boss walking up to her. Mon sees how the woman visibly calms down, relaxing, when Sam genuinely smiles at her before she orders. “I’ll just get 2 orders of Pad Thai… and, do you have milk tea? I’ll get that as well.” Sam pulls her card out before handing it to the woman, “That’s all. Thank you.”

Soon enough, Sam comes back holding a tray of food. The other employees have their eyes on their boss carrying a tray— truly a sight to behold. Some who didn’t see the post quickly figures things out, some nodding in realization. This is why the stupid (now, Sam realizes) rule of no dating has vanished. It’s totally weird seeing the cold, emotionless, void-of-any-positive-feelings Khun Sam doing domestic things for Mon. Only Mon could make her do things she wouldn’t normally do like that.

She sets one down in front of Mon, and slides her the milk tea. She punctures the plastic cover for Mon’s convenience.

“I ordered shrimp, is that okay?” Mon just hums in delight. “You know I love this, right?” Sam nods, “I can order anything else if you want.”

“Of course, you would.” Mon slightly leans in, pinching Sam’s cheek. Sam absolutely loved spoiling her whenever she can.

They eat in comfortable silence, but sometimes being broken when Mon had to remind Sam to chew her food. She’s been staring at Mon for an eternity and she probably forgot that she’s there to eat actual food and not Mon with her eyes. Sam has become shameless in showing her affection for Mon.

“Khun Sam, you should chew.”

“Ah— right.”

Once they have finished the food, they quickly go back up as well. Sam tells her to show her the content she has planned after lunch so she’s there to do that.

She quickly goes over the contents they could post on the page, with Sam completely agreeing on some of them if not pitching in a bit of changes on some. Mon has been doing an amazing job and she couldn’t wish for anything better. It is one of the reasons Sam has fallen for her. She’s hardworking, smart, funny, attractive, incredibly good at her job, and she makes Sam really, really happy.

“This one sounds good.” Sam points out, “We should post one tomorrow.” She suggests. Mon just nods, taking notes. It would probably be another sleepless night to get her work done, with Sam staying up with her to check up on her and help with the content. At home, if they’re working, she’s a mix of a girlfriend and of a boss. Mon can’t ask for anything better.

Once it was time to go home, only a few people— including Mon and Sam— stay behind. They were still working on their tasks on hand right until Sam noticed that the clock just strike 7 in the evening. She peeks her head out, seeing that Mon, along with Yha, are still working. Mon is showing Yha a draft she has whipped up with Yha nodding and pointing out things on her screen. She lets them do that for a while until Yha goes back to her seat.

That’s when Sam decides to come out, puts an arm on the back rest of Mon’s seat and another on her table to steady her as she looms over her lover. Mon’s breath hitched at the close contact. Sam still does things to her, and she could never get sick of it. She checks the draft written up and nods approvingly.

“That’s good.” Sam hums delightfully, “Let’s go home and finish that up. It’s late.” Sam mutters. She looks up to see Yha already packing her stuff silently, diverting her eyes anywhere but the couple in front of her.

“Let’s go home.”

“I just want to show my affection in public sometimes. I want to treat you with respect. I just want to hold my lover’s hand. I don’t care if other people look at me in a good or a bad way.”
