Chapter 19,5
Ena was ready to fight anyone for information on her brother and friends.
She and the others ran through the streets, reaching a café.
A guy with gray eyes waved at them, Toya already having slight discomfort in the whole situation.
"You must to be Fuuta's sister."
He looked at the others, not expecting them to be so many.
"...And co."
The five of them sat down with him, having to put two tables together to fit.
"So… You said you had information on-"
Ena stood up, both hands slamming the wooden table.
"Where the hell are our friends?!"
Ena yelled, Toya sighed as Mikoto looked at the others.
"Look, Fuuta's sister. I have no idea where they are. Hell, what Fuuta told you was just some theory of his."
"So everyone's okay?"
Saki asked, Kohane wrapping one of her arms around her shoulder.
Mikoto shook his head.
"There's no way to know, they hide their tracks pretty effectively."
Ena spoke again.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Mikoto sighed.
"When have they gone missing?"
Airi thought for a moment.
"Around two weeks ago I think… Right?"
Kohane nodded.
"We last saw Akito and An around that time, yeah…"
"Alright, then at least for now, they should all be physically safe."
Mikoto looked back to when the first trial had ended for them, approximately two or three weeks into their time in Milgram.
Kotoko had started to attack the guilty prisoners right after the first trial.
"Physically?"
Toya's head tilted slightly to the side.
"Well, it's pretty damn easy to go nuts in a place like that, Fuuta was already horribly insane at the beginning of the second trial."
Mikoto wiped a nonexistent tear out of his eye.
"Ahh… Good times…"
"Wait wait so you were there?! You killed someone too?!"
Mikoto shrugged, giving them kind of a shit eating grin.
"I don't know. Did I?"
"But what do these 'trials' mean?"
Airi asked, folding a small napkin that was on the table.
"Well, those are for the warden of the prison to judge the prisoners as---"
"Mikoto!?"
Mikoto chuckled nervously as they all turned to look at Fuuta, who was holding bags, accompanied by Kazui.
"You--!"
Ena stood up, standing right in front of her brother.
"We need to talk."
