Mafuyu, once again, didn't reply. Instead, she changed the question to another one.
"The warden said we all murdered someone… Who did you kill, Mizuki?"
Mizuki laughed nervously.
"Heh… Mafuyu… I huh… Haven't killed anyone, I swear, this must all be a misunderstanding! I-I mean, does Tsukasa-senpai look like he could kill someone? Rui, Akito and An too, even you!"
"..."
Tsukasa was taking his sweet time, and Rui began pacing the same distance between the walls of the blond's cell.
"Ah, there he is, I'll go talk to Rui, cya later Mafuyu bye~~!"
Mizuki quickly ran away from Mafuyu, calling out to Rui, who seemed completely absorbed by his own thoughts.
"Oh, Mizuki. Did something happen?"
"Can't talk to a friend? This whole situation is crazy…"
Rui sighed, taking a quick look at the door Tsukasa had entered through.
"It's sure interesting…"
Mizuki was kinda confused by the reply they got from Rui.
"Usually in these types of situations you'd be moving around and examining the place."
They claimed, Rui looked at Mizuki, standing up right after.
"I'm gonna lay down, Mizuki… I'll come back when Tsukasa does, okay?"
"What-? Rui wait---!"
Rui entered what Mizuki assumed was his cell, and almost immediately, Tsukasa got out of the room.
"OH! He's back, Rui!!"
Tsukasa had an anxious look on his face, grabbing onto Rui's shoulder and whispering.
"Rui…"
"How did it go? Did she ask anything weird?"
"When I tell you I almost told her about… you know…"
"What happened at the Wonder Stage…?"
Tsukasa slowly nodded.
"I see… Listen to me. You've already told me how you feel about it, and we were really lucky that Emu's family didn't do anything to you and I."
"Yeah, but you're also here because of it, and Nene stopped talking to us. Do you really think that's luck?"
"Would you have preferred being arrested by the police, Tsukasa? We m--"
"An. Do you… think anyone is looking for us out there?"
Akito sat down on the floor, An by his side, looking at the door they'd eventually have to open.
"I'd like to think so. I know a lot of people in Vivid Street, but I'd be glad if at least my parents or even Kohane were looking for me… How about you?"
"I just… want Toya to at least notice I'm gone. He'd probably go around looking for me but… I don't know, it's okay if he doesn't."
"Are you kidding? Toya would definitely go look for you as soon as he finds out, do you not know him?"
Akito looked down at the floor and sighed.
"And… Well… I guess I kind of do want my sister to go around looking for me."
"That's really nice…
I hope they're looking for us, Akito…"
Ichika, Shizuku, Honami and Minori sat on a corner of the room.
"Tsukasa's already back… I wonder if he's recognised Shiho as well…"
Shizuku looked sad.
"That's Hinomori? I knew she looked familiar… She's your sister, isn't she, Shizuku-chan?"
"Yes, she is! She dissapeared a couple months ago… I really miss her a lot. But…
Now she's here, in a prison. As the warden."
"It's really hard to process, seeing your childhood friend come back to you so… different."
As Ichika said that, Honami offered a hug, and she gladly took it.
"I really missed her too. We should try to see if she can talk to us directly in whatever the interrogations are.."
"Yeah! I didn't get to know Hinomori's that well, but I'll try my best to talk to her too, Shizuku-chan!!"
Minori's eyes were filled with determination, but Honami could tell she was dying of fear.
"Thanks, Minori-chan."
