After Dinner Delights
“Really? I had no idea they were so important,” Pyrrha said as she listened, and to Weiss’s shock and dismay, actually seemed genuinely interested in Whitley and his stamp collecting.
“What am I watching?” Weiss mumbled before she decided to just accept what she was seeing was real and do her best to ignore it.
“Now I know you already ate a few bites of a sandwich earlier,” Maria began as she and Ruby led her to the kitchen, “so we thought we might spend a wee bit of time helping you learn how to make a simple meal.”
Weiss gave them a flat look. “Winter told you about the time I burnt noodles didn’t she?”
Ruby giggled. “She did. Said you just put the block in the microwave and dumped the pack of seasoning on top by itself.”
“How was I supposed to know you needed to do anything else?”
“What about the water?” Maria needled her.
“I was six alright?” Weiss tried to bargain.
“Uh, huh well now you’re an adult and we’re, or rather I am going to whip you into shape so you can cook at least as well as that one,” Maria started as she thumbed over her shoulder to Ruby who waved at her.
“And then what?” Weiss asked curiously.
“Well I have some games in my room, but we kinda think your sister and Cinder will end up back upstairs so we’re just gonna play in the office. And we can do whatever you want to do too!” Ruby assured her.
“I did see a karaoke machine,” Weiss mused.
“We have a karaoke night every weekend!” Ruby assured Weiss who nodded at that.
“Something to remember for sure,” Weiss agreed. “As long as your plans for night are up to par.”
Maria then flushed lightly, an action Weiss found highly desirable, and wanted to find a way to repeat.
“I’ve…always wanted to go formal dancing. I was hoping that you might…teach us?” Maria asked far shyer than Weiss thought she could even be.
“How’d you know I know formal dancing?” Weiss asked with a hand on her hip.
“Rich pretty thing like you? Please, you were doing it before you were out of diapers I’m sure,” Maria said as she waved a hand at Weiss, reverting back to her normal attitude save for the trace evidence on her face.
“I didn’t exactly bring a dress with me, but we can make do I’m sure,” Weiss said with a gentle smile as Ruby clapped her hands excitedly.
Things were already going so well!
Cinder held in a smirk seeing Winter fume at the mini golf course as she failed yet again.
She also had to hand it to the mini Schnee when it came to outfits. The outfit had been a huge hit with Winter who kept sneaking looks towards the slit in her dress where the barest hint of leg could be seen.
“Only a few more holes to go and we can get some ice cream and go feed the penguins,” Cinder offered tantalizingly as Winter took a deep breath to focus.
It was nice to see Winter in the zone, but winning was even better so Cinder made sure to position her dress so just a bit more leg was visible than usual as Winter completely whiffed the ball to stare and then flush when she realized what she was doing.
Yes, it was shaping up to be a great night for Cinder Fall.
“Ok, so what we’re going to do is make a simple hamburger,” Maria said as she brought the ingredients over.
“I prefer chicken,” Weiss offered.
“I know. We figured you for the type. That’s why I made it for you earlier, but hamburgers are simpler and you don’t have to worry about salmonella,” Maria explained as she had Weiss wash her hands.
“Now you too Ruby. No reason for you to sit to the side,” Maria commanded the other silver eyed woman who gamely washed her hands to join them.
“So I’ve already thawed this, but what we want to do is get the flavor infused in the meat so we’re going to start heating up the pan,” Maria began as she showed Weiss the pan they were using instead of the stove since it was just for the three of them.
“Now we have salt, pepper, and a few herbs and spices here. We’ll see which you like and we’ll put those into the meat bowl before we begin making the patties,” Maria explained as she picked up a container and began to explain.
“Ah that tastes great,” Cinder said as she took a lick of her ice cream and handed Winter her own blueberry cone with extra ‘jimmies’, which apparently meant sprinkles. Who knew?
Winter apparently. So she was clearly more than just a great ass, but Cinder had known that. The ass part was definitely a major pro to the whole package though.
“What flavor did you get?” Winter asked as she took her own waffle cone.
“Black Cherry.”
“What does that even taste like?” Winter asked aloud as she savored her own waffle cone.
“Victory,” Cinder said with a smirk. “What’s that taste like? Childhood? Are you a little blueberry gal? My itty bitty Winty Wint?”
“I know a dozen ways to kill you.”
“Oh kinky. I thought I’d have to wait until the third date for that. Not a bad way to go though,” Cinder mocked her date who flushed furiously at the innuendo.
“I should have just gotten boysenberry,” Winter lamented.
Cinder just stared at her. “I can’t even spell that.”
Winter looked briefly taken aback before she coughed into her hand. “Me either.”
Cinder lightly wrapped her pinky around Winter’s free hand and was gratified when she squeezed back.
“Wait, I thought you just put some frozen fries onto a pan and let the oven do its thing?” Weiss asked as Ruby showed her how to make ‘homemade’ fries.
Ruby shared a look with Maria as they both sighed. “Philistine,” both said in unison before they high-fived.
Weiss pouted as Ruby began to show her the difference in the potato she’d cut and the store bag.
“So what we’ll do is set these to cooking then put a few of the store ones in the oven so you can taste the difference. They’ll take a little longer but it’s worth it!” Ruby assured her.
“And then once we put in the store bought we’ll start cooking these patties,” Maria said as she placed the freshly made patties into the fridge for a few minutes.
“What should we do until then?” Ruby asked as she gestured to the sink for them to rinse the oil, and spices from their hands.
“I have an idea,” Weiss said as she took her phone out of her pocket and flicked a few buttons before nodding.
After a moment some light dance music began playing as she turned to the other two.
“May I have this dance?” Weiss asked.
Ruby and Maria huddled together as they pretended to argue the pros and cons in a hushed voice.
Weiss couldn’t contain herself and began chortling as they both smiled and gave her a mock bow in return.
Ruby grabbed one of Weiss’s outstretched hands as Weiss began to lead her through the steps of a simple dance.
Weiss narrowed her eyes after a minute and gestured for Maria’s hands which she supplied as she led her through a few steps as well.
After another minute she stepped back and turned to Ruby.
“You already know how to do this,” Weiss complained as Ruby shrugged.
“Well yeah.”
“You never told me that,” Maria said, gaping at the other silver-eyed woman.
“Well you wanted to learn it so I figured I’d take lessons so we could go together sometimes,” Ruby replied not aware of just how romantic both other woman found such an action.
The sort of action that just came naturally to her without even thinking about it.
“You didn’t even say yes yet,” Maria protested her voice wavering slightly.
“Pff I was gonna.”
“Then in that case we’ll both work with ‘Miss Calavera’ to get her up to snuff so we can take her out dancing some day,” Weiss offered Ruby who nodded with a happy grin.
“You two,” Maria said with a sniff, “had best be ready to have the most attractive woman on your arms soon!”
“Lucky us,” Ruby said with a smile as Weiss held out her hands and began to teach Maria some of the more basic dance steps.
“You’re beautiful. I love you more than life itself. I would die for you,” Winter declared passionately.
“That’d be kinda touching if you were talking to me and not the penguin,” Cinder snarked as Winter waved her off.
“Sssh. It’s looking at me. I’ve been chosen,” Winter said fervently, almost desperately as it waddled over and warbled at her.
Winter wailed as the zookeeper offered her a fish for the penguin who dutifully waited as Winter reverently held out the tasty treat for the animal and gently pat it on its head.
When the penguin preened her hair with its beak before taking the fish Cinder was sure Winter was seriously considering never washing it again.
Winter was unusually silent the rest of the trip and on the way back to the diner leaving Cinder slightly worried that she’d gotten something wrong.
It was only when they got back to the diner and Cinder turned off the car that Winter finally broke the silence.
Or rather she grabbed a fistful of Cinder’s dress and pulled her to her to smash their faces together.
Cinder was no stranger to kissing but hot damn Winter was something else. What she lacked in experience she made up for in passion.
“I hope you have enough money for a replacement,” Winter said, heaving great breaths as she pulled back.
“Uh for what?”
“I’m going to break your bed. Inside now,” Winter ordered.
“Yes, Ma’am!” Cinder had never really had a kink for following orders, but she was reconsidering it now.
“So wait, if we do this we close off the path for Chisato?” Weiss asked in shock. That was her favorite character!
“Yep no harems for you in this game missy,” Ruby admonished with a finger waggle.
“I thought this was an 'r.p.g' game, but now there’s a dating sim,” Weiss said.
“It’s kinda both. There is one route you can take to get both her and-” whatever else Maria might have said was cut off as the door to the office burst open and a pair of women attached to each other's faces stumbled inside.
“Winter!” Weiss shrieked as her older sister jumped away from Cinder as though scalded.
“Weiss, what are you doing here?” Winter demanded as Maria shot her a deadpan look.
“We stayed down here cause we figured you’d want the upstairs for the night.”
“Oh shit, are you gonna turn down Chisato?” Cinder asked from behind her as she looked at the screen.
“Nah triad route,” Maria assured her with a wave of her hands.
“Nice. I always feel bad for her,” Cinder admitted as she ignored Winter trying to figure out what was going on.
“Yeah she doesn’t do anything wrong and just loves the player so much and then we’re supposed to be happy and pick someone else like Blena, and leave her on the sideline? Hard Pass,” Ruby said as she emphatically shook her head.
“I mean I kinda get the thing they were going for but Blena is just too in your face, you know?” Cinder said.
“The game insists on it so hard I never pick it. Zopera and Chisato though?” Maria said, making an OK gesture with her hands as Cinder nodded in understanding.
“But which one though?”
Maria smirked and gestured to the other two in the office. “Why choose?”
“Kinda almost makes me feel bad about eating your cashews last week and framing Jaune,” Cinder said as Maria’s eyes narrowed to slits.
“You did WHAT?”
“Oh by the way we saw your brother making out with Pyrrha out front until they saw us. She seemed mortified,” Cinder informed Weiss who put her head in her hands.
“And Whitley?”
“Proud. Can’t blame him for that one though. Pyrrha apologized as she dragged him away, so basically, I don’t think you’ll get him back before tomorrow,” Cinder answered.
“Can you two heathens go upstairs so I can go back to spending the evening with my dates?” Weiss hissed as Cinder gave her a thumbs up while Winter continued to fidget in place.
“There were penguins Weiss,” Winter tried to explain.
“Yes I’m sure there were. I’m also glad I had a chaperone so I could play video games while you went without…you hypocrite,” Weiss sniped at her sister who decided discretion was the better part of valor and snatched Cinder’s hand and pulled her out of the office.
“She’s dating her for the ass isn’t she?” Maria asked after they left with a thoughtful look on her face.
“The buttschneeks can’t be beat,” Ruby agreed.
“Excuse me, I'm right here. Please don’t talk about my sister like that,” Weiss said as she crossed her arms annoyed.
“Who said I was talking about your sister?” Ruby teased with an impish wink.
“Why have the old model when we can have the newest model Schnee? They’re always the best,” Maria said as she closed the door the other two had left through.
Weiss preened at the compliment. “I suppose you do have a point,” Weiss said with faux modesty.
“We probably should like actually talk huh?” Ruby asked as she looked at the other two a bit red in the face.
“Probably,” Maria agreed.
“After we get the date?” Weiss asked, pointing to the still paused game.
“After,” Maria agreed as she and Ruby let Weiss sit down and bracket her.
“After all we can’t let a good thing slip through our fingers when we can get a better thing right?” Ruby asked.
“No that wouldn’t do at all,” Weiss agreed although whether she was talking about the game or their circumstance she couldn’t have told you.
Well she could but she wasn’t going to admit that.
