I believe you
Finally! Dry land. After two long weeks out of Liyue, The Crux arrived the Harbour at lunch time. Usually, when Ningguang had some time in the morning, she go for a walk and then she waits until Beidou leave the ship, but she wasn’t there today. _She must be busy today_. Beidou didn’t think it to much. After all, there’s no other reason for her to not be there, right?. The captian made her way to Wanmin restaurant and eat some of Xianglin´s exotic foods. Eating in the Cruz wasn’t that bad… but she really missed a good hot meal to delight the palate.
On the way, the pirate couldn’t avoid to notice that everyone seem weirdly disrupted. All Liyueans were gasping on the corners, but she didn’t catch what the hell they were talking about.
Wanmin restaurant was half empty. At this hour, Beidou would often eat standing because there’s wasn’t a single table available. At this point, Beidou started to be uneasy about the situation. Her gaze met Xianglin´s, but before she could speak, Beidou was already leaving. Her thoughts started to betray her. Maybe Liyue was under a threat, at that’s why The Tianquan didn’t leave the Jade Chamber to greet her. Maybe Ningguang have been working nonstop for days to solve days. She frowns. _This woman…, she probably didn’t sleep in days_
When she arrived, it surprised her not seeing anyone guarding the entrance. The sound of a group of people arguing lead her inside. Beidou scan the room, searching for that distinguishing silver hair, but nothing. Where was she? She began to get anxious.
A hand touch her shoulder. The dark-haired woman around instantly. Despair overwhelm her at the moment she realized that the women behind her wasn’t her beloved. “Keqing… what the hell is going on?”
“She’s gone” Keqing always has this thing in being completely direct and honest that in some cases, nearly seems that she doesn’t care about what she’s talking. And that way of speaking did not help with this kind of topics. “What do you mean?” Beidou laugh nervously. _She´s gone?_ . Her smile began to vanish from her face the moment she realized that Keqing wasn’t joking. The Yuheng gave her a letter. It was open, but the stamp was still there, like someone tried to let it intact in a meticulously way. The pirate started reading it. Thoughts began to pester her. Beidou read the letter, and re-read it, and re-read it, and re-read it… Her girlfriend leave to Archons know where and the letter didn’t even mention her? The feeling of betrayal started to fill her veins… “No”. Ningguang loved her. This letter couldn’t be true. They talked about their future together. About a wedding. It doesn’t made sense that overnight Ningguang decided to leave everything behind and start from scratch. She really loved her live and all this things that she worked so hard for, like the Jade Chamber. “I know her, she wouldn’t leave the Jade Chamber after rebuilding it” _She wouldn’t leave me_. “I know, she didn’t write this. Her handwriting have more flourishes”. Beidou looked at her with incredulity. “If you knew that this wasn’t hers, why you didn’t said anything”. Keqing looked at her, almost like Beidou just insulted her. “I did, but no one believed me” The Yuheng crossed her arms.
“This was and amazing opportunity for them to try to get Ningguang´s position. Quiting without telling anyone and leaving behind her house and fancy stuff to the next Tianquan? They will kill their entire families for that” Keqing sighed “That’s why I send Yelan to search for clues without warning”
Beidou was speechless. She feel like someone rip her heart out and trample it. Her chest burned and her mouth was drier than the Sumeru desert. Some ruthless bastard have taken away her light and she did not know if she felt devastate or raging. Actually, she felt both at the same time. “Where is Yelan now?”
“Please Beidou, don’t do anything without thinking. Yelan can hold it”
“Where. Is. Yelan.”
Keqing have no choice. Both of them knows that if The Yuheng didnt tell Beidou what she wanted, she would have found the way to find the spy even if that was the last thing she did before death.
With the direction in a small piece of paper in hand and the heart fill with fury, the captian made her way to Yelan.
“I´ll find you my love. I promise”
