Day 11 - Jumble
Meal finished and the Lasagne that Serena had already pre-prepared before for Bernie had been put into the fridge for tomorrow, numerous drinks imbibed the ladies fell asleep together on the sofa.
Suddenly there was a loud knocking on the front door, they ignored it but it just kept coming, Serena managed to pry herself from Bernie’s arms and carefully made her way out of the room to go and open the front door. To her astonishment there was the loud Obstetrician, drunk as a skunk yelling out her name.
Fleur pushed her way into Serena’s home with a shit eating grin plastered on her fully made up face. She forced the greying woman backwards until her back was against the wall, then she grabbed her head in both manicured hands and kissed her with all the pent up passion she had been holding in for years.
She was so intoxicated and had been wound up all evening by her friends while they had been out partying, eventually she’d given in to her yearnings, knowing Bernie was no longer around for Serena to pine over. She was determined to show Serena what she wanted from her, finally.
The tiny Consultant and everyone else actually were unaware of the recent reemergence of the BMAM back into Serena’s life, so when Bernie staggered drunkenly out of the living room and stood stock still in shock at the scene unfolding before her.
All Bernie saw was the love of her life lip locked with her past nemesis, not noticing how Serena was attempting to push the other woman off her. Fleur was unusually strong for a woman her size and something inside Bernie just snapped. Her head felt as if it had exploded and she did what came natural to her and she ran, with no idea where she was going but just knowing that she had to get away from here right now.
All Serena was aware of was the loud bang as her front door shook on its hinges, the noise finally giving her enough strength to push the Obstetrician off and away from her. The fury she directed at the other woman sobered her up as she screamed in her face;
“You idiotic bloody woman. Do you know what you’ve just done?”
Serena grabbed the front door and looked around outside, there was no sign of Bernie anywhere.
“Oh Bernie my darling, where are you?”

Bernie had run until her legs hurt, not knowing where she was going but just aware she had to get away from the sight that kept replaying over and over in her mind. She ran until she became so exhausted and by that time she had no idea where she was, the booming sound in her head was getting louder and louder.
Each step she took was worse and her thoughts became more jumbled until she was unable to determine anything familiar in her surroundings and she struggled to remember who she was and why she’d been running. Finally her legs buckled and she collapsed unconscious at the side of the busy road.
