Beidou and Ningguang were nothing alike.
Ningguang was out for the best education one could offer. She was a straight-A student, and she ran the student council. Her resume was built on outstanding achievements that would definitely catch the eyes of famous companies. She firmly believed that a large sum of money could keep anyone happy.
Beidou, on the other hand, never cared about money, much less her grades. She partied hard and refused to take part in any academic activities. She had a streak full of negative comments, but she prioritized her happiness more than anything- even if it meant sacrificing her parents if she had any.
Beidou and Ningguang barely mingled with each other unless it was unavoidable. Ningguang knew that Beidou wasn't someone she should become acquainted with, and Beidou didn't care about the stupid student council.
So why were two people so dissimilar tangled together on the couch of their shared dorm?
"Beidou, get up. I still need to finish my report."
"Aww, c'mon Ning, all you care about is work," Beidou pouted.
"And all you care about is partying," Ningguang retorted. "You went overboard and got yourself drunk, despite your high alcohol tolerance."
"You should've been there, it was soooo much fun-" Beidou let out a hiccup. "Kazu should've gone too, it would've been funny if he got drunk, hehe."
"See? Even Kazuha's more responsible than you."
"Hehe, you and Kazu are alike. Ooo, does this make you my- hic- wifeyyy???"
A bright red blush crept up Ningguang's cheeks. "Just because Kazuha and I are both terrible with alcohol, doesn't mean we're blood-related," she huffed. "You should go sort yourself out, and I have a report to finish."
"You say that, but you actually like this position, don't you?" Ningguang averted her eyes and attempted to push Beidou to no avail, so she sighed and let her hands drop.
"What can I do to make you take care of yourself? You're bound to get a hangover."
Beidou let out a hum. “What if…” She leaned closer and cupped one of Ningguang’s cheeks. “You give me a kiss? Or I could do it, just let me kiss you.”

The next day, Ningguang wore a scarf and didn’t wear one of her signature skirts, claiming that it was cold. She also avoided Beidou, who remembered everything despite being drunk.
