Yae came home to Layla waiting anxiously for her. "hey sweetheart" Yae said picking her up kissing her forehead. "I missed you so much, my love" Yae continued holding Layla close to her and kissed her tenderly. "I missed you too Yae, I love you so much". Yae smiled "come on let's go to bed, baby. I'm hungry and exhausted. I think you are as well, right?" Yae asked looking down at Layla. Layla nodded her head and wrapped her tiny arms around Yae. "well I haven't really been this well rested like this in a long time..it's funny. my work as a Rtawahist always has me tired but being here in Inazuma has been so tranquil and I never have to worry about working on thesises anymore..I do miss Twirly Whirly..but I'll be back soon" Layla yawned happily snuggling into Yae's warm chest. "of course you will love," Yae smiled hugging her tighter. That was a lie, Yae never wanted her to go back to Sumeru and that's why she killed Alhaitham . It was her only way to free her from that hell hole, and it was working. Layla was getting stronger everyday she had become even more beautiful. Yae could never imagine Layla being with anyone other than herself, it sickened her. she'd kill anyone in the path of her beloved Layla. Yae was going to take her on more dates and then propose one day, keeping Layla innocent just to taint her stars the night of their wedding. The next morning Yae woke up with Layla sleeping peacefully next to her.
"good morning babe," Yae whispered pressing kisses all over her face. "morning" Layla giggled kissing Yae in return. Yae sat up pulling Layla to sit in front of her and pulled her in for a deep kiss. She held her close to her chest feeling her heartbeat and smelling her soft scent. "what time is it?" Layla asked after Yae broke their kiss. "7 o'clock" Yae said caressing her cheek and playing with her silky blue hair. "get ready Layla we're going out today!" Yae cheered . Layla gasped in excitement "really?! where are we going?!" she asked jumping up and down excitedly. "oh hush, calm down! we'll start our little adventure soon enough.."Yae replied smiling "can we get ice cream?" Layla begged. "why not?" Yae smiled. "thank you thank you thank you!" Layla exclaimed kissing Yae's cheek "now hurry and get dressed!"
Yae laughed. Layla got changed into a white mini dress that had a little blue bow in the center, white thigh highs, blue Mary Jane heels, and a big blue bow in her hair which matched.
Yae blushed at the sight of Layla in white . She looked so delicate, so perfect.
Yae wore a red and pink slip dress , black leggings, black heels, and a necklace with pearls on it. Her makeup consisted of some light foundation, mascara, red lipstick, eyeliner and a few dabs of highlight. Layla stared at Yae admiring how she looked and how sexy and strong she was.
They both had matching jewelry and bracelets. Layla's makeup consisted of just her lash extensions and some lipgloss. Yae finished her outfit off with a sweaterthat was purple with pink lace trimming. "you look amazing!" Layla squealed. "are you ready to go?!" Yae smirked. Layla shook her head yes smiling widely. "let's go, my angel~" Yae winked.
They walked hand in hand outside of their house and headed towards the market place. As they approached the market place Layla was mesmerized by all the different colors of food. Some people were selling fruits, vegetables and meats, but most of the vendors were selling various kinds of jewelry, perfumes, clothes, cosmetics, books, toys, trinkets, etc.. Layla's eyes lit up when she saw the most perfect moon bunny plush toy, she was an adult and hated the fact she liked childish things so she didn't ask for it being too embarrassed at her childish interests .
The girlfriends' date went on for another hour until it was dark. Layla's stomach was starting to rumble loudly making Yae smirk. "let's go somewhere to eat okay?" Yae smirked, she took Layla to the finest restaurant in Inazuma , the very best in the entire country and the most expensive one. They ordered the most expensive dishes, and dessert. "this place is absolutely breathtaking, Yae" Layla cooed.
"yeah I know right. I love it, it's just what I want with you, my precious princess", Yae grinned kissing Layla's nose. "here after we finish eating let's go watch Yoimiya's firework show! does that seem good my little Layla?" Yae smiled , stroking Layla's cheek. "yes please!!" Layla exclaimed enthusiastically "okay, let's go!" Yae said standing up, scooping up Layla in her arms bridal style. They walked out of the restaurant arm and arm giggling together. They entered the festival in a hurry to see all the performers and attractions and to get a better view of the fireworks.
After they were done with their first round of activities, they headed straight to an empty spot on the beach and watched the bright fireworks, Layla was sensitive to the loud sounds so she nuzzled up to Yae fondly , resting her head on Yae's shoulder. Yae loved it when she did that. she put her arm around her waist and pulled her closer, kissing her temple lovingly. "you know I love you more than anything else in the world, don't you, Layla?" Yae said softly looking down at Layla. "I love you too, Yae" Layla replied. "I love you so much, my darling Layla" Yae said kissing her again. "I love you too, Yae" Layla said smiling. "I love you so much, my precious Layla" Yae repeated.
An extremely loud firework exploded and Layla screamed quickly climbing onto Yae hiding her face in-between Yae's breasts which flattered Yae but Layla was there crying and hyperventilating because of the sound, Yae was panicking, she tried to calm Layla down and hugged her tightly trying to comfort her. "It's alright Layla I'm here" Yae whispered, rubbing Layla's back gently "it'll be alright..don't cry Layla" Yae sighed as she felt Layla begin to quiet down. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Layla sobbed "it's okay, it's okay" Yae said soothingly. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Layla cried. "shhh, it's okay, it's okay" Yae said kissing Layla's head.
"please stop crying baby" Yae said stroking her cheeks softly with her thumbs wiping away the tears. "we should go back now or mom will get worried", Yae said standing up and wrapping Layla in her arms, "hm maybe this will cheer you up" Yae pulled out the moon bunny plush that Layla wanted so much, Layla squealed in excitement, slightly shivering from the cold too .
Yae placed it in Layla's hands "see! look, it's even made for you! Isn't it adorable?" Yae asked laughing. "it's beautiful!" Layla gushed holding the bunny up to examine it. she nuzzled her face into the plushie's chest "thank you Yae!!" "anything for my little moon bunny" Yae smiled. Layla kept shivering and whimpering from the cold which Yae noticed so she put the sweater on Layla earning a coo of relief.
The women decided to leave before Layla caught a cold and went home. "come on my love, let's go home" Yae said carrying Layla bridal style Layla buried her face in Yae's chest nuzzling her nose against the collarbone, "my princess~" Yae said placing a kiss on Layla's collarbone .
When they arrived home Yae helped Layla change into her pj's before laying down with her in bed spooning her. "goodnight my sweet star" Yae whispered placing kisses on Layla's forehead. Layla smiled and snuggled into Yae's body closing her eyes and falling asleep. "I've killed for you princess..I'll hurt anyone who causes harm to you" Yae cooed petting Layla's head, Layla unable to hear her being too deep in sleep .
Yae smiled watching her sleeping peacefully, Yae herself unable to fall asleep .
"you are everything I ever wanted...the moon princess of my dreams... I love you so much Layla"
Yae whispered. she was thinking of proposing too but first she had to talk to someone; an old friend; Her Majesty The Almighty Raiden Shogun or persornally known as Ei. Yae and Ei had history once being in love but just grew cold and meaningless. Yae felt like she should tell Ei about her thoughts of engagement to Layla
