A new magical life
Summary
Heading to a new school is nerve-racking. Especially when think you’re the only one who is different. An example being going to a school full of Wizards when you weren’t raised in the life style. This seems unlikely, but not unlikely in the eyes of George Davidson
Note

A new friend

To George, or anyone for that matter, it probably wasn't a smart idea to leave him (of all people) alone in a magical place he wasn't familiar with.

George, still awkwardly holding his new friend plant, walked slowly down a street in Diagon Alley. 'Train?' He thought while looking around. 'I don't even know where I'm at to find a train here.'

A moment later he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. "Uh, hi!" George turned to look at the strangers face. "My mom and I were walking and she saw you and noticed you looked lost."

George got pink with embarrassment. The boy hurriedly carried on, "We were about to head to the Station. Seeing as you have your stuff with you, do you need a lift?"

"That would be amazing. I'm going to be honest, im extremely lost. I haven't been here before and I just got left here." he admits with an embarrased smile.

"Well that's great! Not that you're lost but the fact we found you. The name's Karl, a first year at Hogwarts."

"George, also a first year." They manage to shake hands.

'Bloody hell this plant stinks'. He gave Karl an apologetic look as they walk to Karl's mom's car.

"I'm most excited about the food," Karl says with a big grin. "Of course magic is great too but I've heard great things about the food"

The other boy agrees with a small laugh. "I'm nervous, I didn't know I was a wizard until a very tall man busted down mu door telling me."

Karl looks at him with a slight shocked expression. George didn't really think about it..

'All of this is real'

'It doesn't feel real, but it has to be.' It's only been a day and George still hasn't fully processed what it means for him.

He glances at Karl who is drumming his fingers on the window. It is cloudy, slightly chilly, and a little foggy (to him he only thought of it as regular England weather).

A little while later they make it to the train station.

Karl's mom kisses her son's cheek and gives him a big hug. "Be safe now, write to me when you can and don't do anything that will get you in trouble you hear?"

"Yes mom, I love you." he assures his mom with a smile that she returns. George notices a slight tear in her eye. They part ways shortly after.

"Keep a lookout for Platform 9 and 10." Karl said as he pushes the trolley he had found forward.

As they walk, many people rush passed the two boys. It didn't help that neither of the 11 year olds were tall, a few people even ran into them.

The train station was almost deafening. People yelling, train whistles were blowing, George couldn't hear or see Karl stop infront of a brick wall.

'Platforms 9 and 10'. George thought looking between the two signs. There was a smaller one that read 'Platform 9 3/4?'

"Ready?" Karl asked with an enthusiastic smile. George was about to ask what he meant but Karl ran full force into the brick wall and just...

Disappeared..? right before his own eyes?

George was both frightened and amazed at the same time. He started questioning again if this was all fake or real. Then he started to have a little argument with himself.

'There is no way he actually disappeared. But you saw it with your own eyes. But what if you're just seeing things. BUT what if you're not and this will be the coolest thing in your entire life?'

"Bloody hell!" he said a little too loudly. People who were nearby gave him weird looks. He smiled apologeticly at them and then turned back to the wall.

"Welp," he shook the bad thoughts out "here goes nothing"

He held his breathe and ran at the wall.
