Pokemon Wizard - The Beginning

Entei watched the two human cubs and the two Pokemon who were barely adult themselves. He noticed how the Pokemon were clinging to the two children, as if afraid they would be stolen otherwise. He looked at Moltres who was flying above and was sure she noticed the same things he did. He wondered, if the three Mew played a trick on them that made them that way. He then switched his attention to the older human following them with Houndoom and Hitmontop. He guessed the elder human, was in charge entrusted the safety of the two youngsters. Entei nodded his head in satisfaction, not all humans were selfish.

Cooper was looking around and recording everything in excitement, "This is amazing! I never thought I would be able to get an up close video of Moltres let alone Entei. You kids are like Lucky Charms ~"

Gary snickered at that, "My parents differ from you."

Cooper huffed, "They should listen to me then. It's already very rare to get a clear shot of Moltres or Entei. It's even more rare to video them. Oh Mew! The fact they did not attack us straight away is a big thing in itself."

Ash looked at him curiously, "What do you mean Cooper? Why would they attack us?"

Gary, "Yeah, they are wild Pokemon, not berserkers."

Cooper looked at the two kids who were looking at him with true genuine curiosity and confusion. The two of them truly believed Pokemon would never hurt them. He was there when the good Professor Oak explained their habits and personalities to them, but he could not believe it. Now though, looking at them, he could finally believe the Professor's words and understand why he worried.

Cooper put down the video camera and scratched his head, "How do I explain? In fact I don't even know if I should be telling you about this. You are not even trainers after all."

Ash pat his hand, as they continued walking, "It's okay, Cooper. Just tell us what you are able to say. We'll figure things out soon enough. We seem to figure things out before anyone else does, if we put our interest in it."

Gary piped up, "Yeah, like how we figured out why the description of Mew in different places are so different. There is more than one Mew, there are three of them to be exact."

Moltress did not fall, nope, -They actually showed themselves to them?-

Entei eyed the cubs, -Looks like it. What are those three miscreants up to?-

Cooper chuckled, "I know, when your Grandpa showed proof to the league they were shocked and flabbergasted. I don't think, I have ever seen the boss be shocked before or the President for that matter. He kept your names out of it, of course."

Ash smiled, "Yeah, we asked him to keep our names out. Dad told me there were people, bad people out there that might try to use us to capture and hurt our friends."

Gary nodded, "We don't want to see them hurt or lose them, you know."

Cooper smiled at the two kids gently, they really were very kind and caring, "Well, your Dad was not wrong in his worry. There are people out there like that."

Cooper pointed at the two Legendaries, "In fact, those type of people keep on trying to capture those two."

Ash looked up at Entei who was going ahead of them and at Moltres flying above them. Gary frowned as well, he just met his new friends and did not like that someone out there wanted to hurt them. It did not sit well with him at all. He knows, Ash did not like it either from his worried look.

Gary huffed, "Why would they want to hurt them? That's stupid! They are not savage creatures who would just attack us. They are smart, you know. They have feelings just like we do."

Cooper ruffled Gary's hair, "Some people are just stupid and selfish that way. All that we can do is keep those people under control."

Ash looked at Cooper, "How would you do that? Wouldn't they fight back and try to get control?"

Pikachu also looked at Cooper in curiosity after seeing Entei and Moltres would not fly away with his partner. Eevee as well had relaxed and was listening to their conversation curiously. Houndoom and Hitmontop followed at a sedate pace as they were not in a hurry. Cooper couldn't help but chuckle at how similar the boys and the Pokemon acted. It was cute. He suppressed his desire to cuddle with them and answered the questions instead.

Cooper patted the video camera, "Well, see this boys! This has evidence that I can present to the world as proof that wild Pokemon are not savage creatures as you said. It will show them that Pokemon are not cruel and would never hurt or attack you unless you attacked them first. There are greedy people out there who always use the excuse that Pokemon are mindless beast that should be taken down and controlled by them."

Moltres and Entei tensed hearing the conversation. Arceus only knows, how many times they had to fend off would be Masters. It was very insulting and fury inducing to learn how they had actually thought of them. That too, after all the work they did in nourishing the lands. Ungrateful bastards!

Cooper continued darkly, "These people pretend they are doing this for the good of the world but truth is, they are doing it for their own selfish profit."

Gary got angry and blew up a stone next to him, "How could they do that? That's unfair and bad."

Eevee and Pikachu looked shocked and proud of Gary. They were shocked because Gary was already able to tap into his power and proud because that blast was powerful. But more importantly they would be able to train together.

Cooper who was shocked by the stone blowing up was speechless. He thought only Ash was supposed to be the one with abilities. Gary's eyes were glowing with anger. Entei rumbled while Moltress cooed at the little chick that woke up.

Ash walked up to Gary and hugged him before looking at Cooper, "Will showing the videos truly help?"

Cooper shook himself out of his funk, "Yes, it's proof after all. What you just did there kid! That's what your grandpa was talking about."

Gary who had calmed down looked at the rock he had blown up bewildered, "I..... Did I do that? That was me really?"

Ash smiled before kissing his cheek, "Yes you did! Congratulations Gary! Your first accidental magic."

Gary blushed before smiling delighted, "Thanks Ash! That felt good in a way."

Ash nodded, "Well, you did just let your anger out so now that you are not angry anymore it probably does feel good."

Cooper whistled impressed, "So then, emotions play a part in accessing your power?"

Ash shook his head, "Sometimes, intense emotions do, but not always. We do need to train just like anyone out there to be able to use the powers properly."

Gary looked determined, "And we will train hard not only because we want to get stronger but also because we want to protect our friends."

Cooper smiled at the enthusiasm the two were showing. It reminded him of his early trainer days and the aura users he met during his training with the league.

Cooper, "If you want I would love to train with you."

Houndoom and Hitmontop perked up at the mention of training. It would be interesting to train with humans who could use abilities as well.

Ash and Gary looked at Cooper as he continued, "Back when I was a trainer, I met an aura user and trained and travelled with him for a bit so I know a thing or two about it."

Ash and Gary brightened up at that and Cooper could swear their smiles were shining like the sun. They were about to follow Entei and Moltres again but stopped when they noticed that the two legendaries were watching them silently. They had a bright gleam in their eyes that made Pikachu and Eevee become wary immediately.

Cooper, 'And I get the feeling, it will be interesting.'

Entei rumbled, -Impressive! He hasn't even started training yet.-

Moltres, -Yes! I can see why the three siblings are interested in them. I'm very curious about what will come in the future as well.-

Pikachu growled at them in warning, -I don't know, what you are planning but you are not taking them.-

Eevee nodded, -Yes, we already have to worry about the three Mew.-

Moltres chuckled, -You need not worry chickling. We are not going to take them further than here. They are not ready yet.-

Houndoom perked up, -Are you suggesting they are capable of handling the power of Fire?-

Entei, -I cannot predict the future but yes they do have potential for it should they train of course.-

Hitmontop, -That's truly fascinating. I have never heard of humans aside from aura users being able to use other types of elemental powers.-

Moltres, -It is extremely rare but not strange. It was more common before the horrible war that plagued this world. Most of the elementalist including my own partner were killed.-

Cooper, Ash and Gary just watched as the Pokemon talked to each other and decided to relax.

Cooper spoke up, "I wonder, what they are talking about."

Ash smiled, "We can ask Pikachu and Eevee later. They can tell us."

Gary grinned, "Yeah, you are recording this too?"

Cooper smiled holding the camera, "Yup! This is really good research material. We can observe this and see how they handle other Pokemon and make notes on their behavior."

Ash's eyes twinkled, "That would be cool."

Before Cooper could answer they were approached by Entei and Moltres. The three of them looked at the two majestic Pokemon in front of them. Their Pokemon had stood to the side and relaxed now after realizing they were not going to be attacked.

Ash greeted them, "Hello!"

Gary smiled, "Hi! Nice to meet you."

Both Entei and Moltres nodded their greetings. Moltres spread her wings creating a beautiful sight before one of her feathers floated down in front of Ash. Entei on the other hand roared and created a crystallised mound which he broke before taking the flame shaped crystal in the middle and standing in front of Gary. They both motioned for Ash and Gary to take the feather and crystal before turning to Pikachu and Eevee.

Moltres, -Tell them, they can use these gifts as a focal point for their powers.-

Entei, -We give them these gifts to train and look forward to how well they do!-

With that, the two Fire Lords left the group and went their way. Entei jumped higher and higher till they couldn't see him anymore and Moltres flew away till she was a small dot in the evening sky.

Cooper put the video camera down, "I didn't expect this when I woke up today."

Houndoom and Hitmontop nodded in agreement with their trainer. Pikachu and Eevee meanwhile were telling Ash what they had talked about making his eyes go wide. Ash then explained to Gary and Cooper everything that happened making Gary giddy and Cooper look at the feather and crystal curiously.

Gary was enthusiastic, "So we can use this to train ourselves to be able to use our abilities better? That's awesome!"

Ash nodded, "Yes it is, but I wonder how it'll help us."

Cooper spoke up, "How about we return to the lab and figure things out there? We can even use the training grounds to get some training in. Not to forget you guys promised Axel you would hang out with him at the festival and it's already 05:00 pm. The festival is at 06:00 pm. It'll take half an hour to return to the lab, which leaves you half to get ready."

Gary looked up at that, "We are already that late?"

Ash took out two bottles to put the feather and crystal, "We better get back soon then. We'll figure this out later."

Everyone nodded at that and started their trek downhill back to the lab. Cooper snickered just thinking about some of the reactions to the video that he will get. Gary looked at him and snickered understanding why he was laughing. Ash giggled catching on while the Pokemon shook their heads at their antics.
