Entei's Curiosity
As the four humans entered the lab at the base of the volcano, they were unaware of the fact they were being observed. The red eyes of the Legendary Pokemon followed them as they went inside the lab and disappeared from sight. He had felt the curious power of aura and something else, the moment it stepped inside his territory. If it were not for the fact the power did not feel hostile, he would have confronted them and probably battled them. For now however, he would watch them and he was very curious about the power. It felt like fire aura and yet so different from it too.
Pokemon pov:
Magmar approached him, -Lord Entei, that power, it is coming from one of the two human cubs, isn't it?-
Entei rumbled nodding, -Yes, it is, my warrior. I do wonder, who it is coming from though. They are both very young.-
Magmar looked down at the lab, -If you want, I can ask my sibling to watch them. He is after all part of the Gym leader's team and one of the strongest fire types on this island.-
Entei eyed the human settlement, -Perhaps later, after they have settled down. I do wish to meet them myself at one point and make a decision myself. Hmmm, what's this? I can feel Mew's aura on them. The three mischievous siblings marked them. How interesting!-
Magmar looked fascinated, -Truly? How very fascinating indeed!-
Before Entei could answer, they felt a familiar aura approaching them. It was coming from the sky making them look up. They saw the familiar flame silhouette of the fire bird from the orange islands who shared Entei's territory. Magmar got defensive worried if the two legendaries fight it would be a disaster. The phoenix flew towards them and stopped in front of them hovering in mid air, looking very majestic and regal. Magmar twitched when his sharp hearing heard a few humans gasp and shout about the fire bird's presence.
Moltres, -Hello, flame brother!-
Magmar relaxed as Entei returned the greeting, -Greetings flame sister!-
Moltres ignored the loud banter coming from the humans, -I felt a very curious power entering the Fire domain. Yet you did not stop it. Why?-
Entei looked down at the labs, -Mostly curiosity and I don't go around hunting cubs.-
Moltres looked at the lab and deadpanned, -I certainly hope the humans here are not attempting to recreate Pokemon like the ones in the place humans call 'New Islands'. Foolish creatures!-
Entei was looking at her amused, -Well sister, I'll be happy to inform you that, no they are not doing that.-
At that Moltres looked startled, -Oh? Does that mean we have a new Pokemon we didn't know about? How very curious! I can feel the aura of the three Mew siblings. Don't tell me they were the ones to create a new Pokemon.-
Entei started to snicker making Moltres stop her ranting. She looked at her flame Lord pseudo sibling with an affronted look. Magmar almost snickered watching their interactions and Lady Moltres pouting. If he had not known them for as long as he did, he would have thought they were a couple.
Entei rumbled amused, -Not a Pokemon not even close. It is actually a human child.-
Moltres gaped with her beak opening and closing, -A human child? Is this world coming to an end? A child with power?-
Entei looked down noticing the two children he was talking about playing with the fire Pokemon in the fields adjacent to the labs. He motioned his Flame sibling and pointed the two of them out to her. Moltres watched in disbelief, she could feel the power of the Flame and yet there was more. She could also feel the blessings the three trouble making Mews had left on the two chicks.
Entei rumbled, -It is one of them.-
Moltres fluttered her wings, -This is a very curious case indeed...... Lord Entei! Since they are in your territory, I wish to request to meet them.-
Entei nodded in agreement, -We can meet them together perhaps.-
Magmar nodded at his Lord and Lady before leaving to inform the other fire types who resided in the lab. They may fight for the humans but they were loyal to their Lord first. This was his home and territory after all. He was actually looking forward to the next few days. It was not always that something interesting happened around here. That is except for a few fascinating battles here and there. Plus sometimes the unwanted guests like poachers and Team Rocket.
Pokemon pov end!
Oblivious to the plans of the two Legendaries for them, Ash and Gary were enjoying playing with the fire types under the watchful eyes of Blaine's most trusted Magmar. Gary and Ash were having a blast with the fire types, while Professor Oak had Blaine sit down as he explained to him what Ash could do. Gary giggled seeing his sceptical look which turned into a surprised one later on.
Flashback:
Blaine eyed professor Oak seriously, "Alright then, my old friend, old rival, explain to me. What has got you worried?"
Professor Oak was nursing a cup of tea, "Well it's not exactly a what, not really. In fact, Ash here has some very interesting abilities that I need some help with. Especially in helping Ash keep a low profile without attracting unwanted attention."
Blaine raised an eyebrow, "Right! You expect me to believe that a kid has some special abilities. I'm not saying I don't believe you. It's just, what has that got to do with me? Shouldn't you have taken him to Sabrina? She is the one who specialises in psychic abilities or to the Rota Kingdom if he has aura? They would be better equipped to help him."
Professor Oak rubbed his neck, "Well, we could but there is more than aura and psychic powers that are involved. How about we show you?"
Professor Oak looked at Ash, he and Gary were with the Pokemon again, "Ash! Come here for a sec son. I want you to do something."
Ash pat the Vulpix on his right before getting up and walking to the Professor, "What is it you need me to do, Professor?"
Professor Oak pointed at his friend, "I want you to show Blaine here what you can do. In a safe place, of course. Especially with the flames."
Ash smiled, "You mean use my elemental aura, Professor? And sure, I don't mind!"
Professor Oak, "Much appreciated Ash."
Ash looked around, "I know! Let's use that area over there for this."
Blaine looked a little alarmed when the fire type Pokemon who were on the side eavesdropping looked excited and swarmed him. Gary just moved after Ash followed by the Pokemon as he went to an empty part of the lab and started to focus. At first, nothing happened then after a bit a small ball of fire staRted to form on top of his hands and grew bigger and brighter. On seeing it, Blaine gaped looking at that fire that formed out of nowhere.
Ash smiled with a pink tint on his cheeks, "I call it light flame as it... Well I can only produce light and some warmth with it. I can't do much yet."
Blaine nodded, "I see."
Pikachu mumbled, -I think it's unfair. You should have learned how to use electricity first.-
Eevee nudged him, -One at a time, Gary still has not activated his abilities yet. But I can feel the power inside him.-
The Professor had then sat Blaine down to explain to him in detail all the information he had collected to far. Blaine had allowed them access to the fields adjacent to the labs for them to play in after telling Magmar to watch over them. The Magmar looked at them with curiosity and nodded to Blaine.
Flashback end!
Now, here they were playing with the flame types along with Pikachu and Eevee. The two older Flarions in the lab had taken to grooming Gary's Eevee which he didn't seem to mind while Pikachu became quick friends with Charmander, Torchic, Chimchar and Fennekin and playing tag Pokemon style. Vulpix and Litten had decided Ash and Gary made fine pillows and promptly laid down on their laps purring when the two boys brushed their fur. Ninetails was sitting behind them enjoying the calm environment. Well as calm as it could be with young rambunctious baby Pokemon playing and running all around.
Gary poked his friend's elbow, "Hey Ash, I know you have been teaching me to forage and the different types of medicine and uses of plants, right."
Ash looked at his friend, "Yeah I have ~ I will share more stuff with you later if we are allowed to look around this area."
Gary fidgeted, "That's fine by me but....
Ash pat Vulpix to get up as he had finished brushing one side and wanted her to turn, "But?"
Gary blurted, "What about the other stuff? The stuff you can do like what you did earlier."
Ash looked at Gary then looked at the Pokemon playing around them, "I'll be honest with you Gary. I don't know. I know there is a power inside you, but it is dorman. Sleeping, you could say."
Gary looked up at his friend, "Oh... I didn't realize that."
Ash continued, "I don't know Gary. I don't know, how to awaken the Power inside of you without hurting you."
Gary looked excited though, "But I can do the things you can do right?"
Ash giggled at how he was excited, "You can probably do stuff that I can't Gary. Not every power is the same, you know."
Gary looked at Ash contemplating, "How did you activate yours though?"
Ash gave a thoughtful look, "I'm not sure. I used to meditate when I was younger if that helps?"
Gary pouted at that, "Meditation? But that's so boring."
Ash giggled as he leaned closer to Gary, "You know, you can do it at night, right? Before sleeping I used to meditate for an hour every night. It was a very slow process but it helped, I was able to make the first coloured ball after three years of constant practice. I think everyone has abilities but they just need time and patience to grow, that's all."
Gary looked at Ash as he leaned on his shoulder, "That makes sense I guess. I mean, Pokemon have to train a lot to learn their moves so it's only normal we have to practice as well."
Litten looked at the brunette, "Nya ~"
Ash smiled, "Yup. You can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. That's what I believe."
Gary leaned closer and kissed Ash on his forehead, "Thank you Ashy ~ I'll try meditating from tonight. Maybe by next year or after two years, I can do what you can do as well."
Ash blushed at the kiss, Gary was the only one to kiss him outside his family and it felt really nice, "I... I will help you with it too. You won't be alone. I will be there every step of the way."
Gary blushed at what he did as well and smiled goofily when Ash made a promise to help him and stay with him. He was really happy to have a best friend like Ash and he would not give him up. Maybe they can even be together like Leaf and her boyfriend when they are older without the cooties. He decided to think about it later for now the fire types want them to play with them.
