Prologue: The She-Dragon
Beneath the Telvanni Tower of Tel Fyr, was a cavern system once known as Abanabi Cave. After Divayth Fyr grew his tower, he decided to expand it into Abanabi. By the late Third Era, most of it had been converted into the Corprusarium. The rest was left untouched… or so people thought.
By the start of the Fourth Era, rumors began to spread. Rumors that spoke of Abanabi’s Hollow, a cave hidden within the Corprusarium. They said it was home to a dragon-like beast that resembled a woman. It was said that Fyr fed her incompetent servants and would-be assassins.
During the Red Year, even Tel Fyr was destroyed by the devastation of Red Mountain’s cataclysmic eruption. Of course, Divayth Fyr and his “daughters” survived by teleporting away from the tower. Over a century had passed before Fyr returned to Vvardenfell and rebuilt Tel Fyr. Alas, by that point the stories of Abanabi’s Hollow were long forgotten.
Meanwhile, in the years following the Red Year, strange sightings cropped up in Skyrim. In Haafingar, some claimed they saw the She-Dragon in the wilderness. They always described her as a towering woman with the features of a dragon. Alas, every attempt to prove her existence failed. Consequently, the She-Dragon was believed to be a myth.
Then one day, someone found her den.
