His string started moving, just swaying before rising to eye level. Which is weird, right? Strings are attached to fingers, so why was it in the air? Maybe Vecna was healed already, maybe the demobats had woken up, to carry Eddie's body away to eat. Steve hoped not. He was shaking, gasping for air. Maybe, just maybe Eddie might be alive. The string shoots up even higher. Steve follows the movement. Robin puts a hand on his shoulder
"Steve? Are you okay?"
"Robin, Robin, it's moving! he grabbed her shoulders and turned her around
"Look!" She gasped. The was confused
"Oh my god!"
"What? What's happening? Steve? Robin?" Dustin was the first to ask.
"We have to go Rob! W-we have to see!" Steve already had his shoes on, now he was putting on his coat.
"Steve wait! We have to get things, what if the demobats are alive? What if it's a trap?" Robin tried to stop him, the party followed him out side and he got in his car.
"Hurry! If you're coming, hurry up!" Dustin, Robin, Nancy and El hopped into the car, everyone else got in the other, Dustin tried to stop Suzie from coming but damn was she stubborn.
they got to an open portal in 5 minutes, definitely not by obeying traffic laws. Just as they pulled into the trailer park something shot up into the air, way to fast to see and why too high to make out. The only reason Steve got out of the car was because the string, that same string that let him to believe that Eddie was alive, was leading right to the thing in the sky.
